Tragedy as baby found dead at home as cops probe ‘unexplained’ death
AN urgent investigation has been launched after a baby died at home yesterday.
Police have described the sudden tragedy in Middlesbrough as “unexplained”, with detectives now carrying out enquiries.
The force has not revealed where exactly the incident took place.
A statement by Cleveland Constabulary last night said: “Officers were called to an address in Middlesbrough earlier today, Saturday 7th June, following the death of a baby.
“The death is being treated as unexplained and detectives have been carrying out some enquiries at the address.
“Our thoughts are with the family of the deceased child at this sad and difficult time.”

Fans hail ‘poetic justice’ after Jaden Hendrikse blunder ‘all of Ireland celebrated’ following bust-up with Jack Crowley
FANS poked fun at a Jaden Hendrikse blunder that “all of Ireland celebrated” during the Sharks’ loss to the Bulls.
The Vodacom Bulls will face Leinster in the United Rugby Championship final after beating their fellow South African side on Saturday.

A critical moment came in the 22nd minute with the Bulls leading 7-0 and going in search of their second try.
Sharks scrum-half Jaden Hendrikse tried a clearance kick, only to lose his footing and surrender possession back to the Bulls.
One crossfield kick later and Canan Moodie was in for his side’s second try as they eventually ran out 25-13 winners.
There was an ironic feel to the pivotal play, with Hendrikse having become public enemy number one among Munster fans the previous week.
The 25-year-old infamously went down with cramp during the penalty shoot-out at the end of the URC quarter-final which Munster lost.
He received treatment nearby to where Jack Crowley was due to take a kick and, while he put it between the uprights successfully, the Ireland international gave Sharks coach John Plumtree an earful.
That controversy meant that fans enjoyed the twist of fate that took place on Saturday.
One said: “poetic justice at its very best” while a second posted: “Munster fans inundating Hendrikse’s dms with “””
A third said: “Cramp can kick in at the worst times” while that same user then added: “(Before the Saffas all start commenting, it’s a joke, I don’t care about what happened last week)”
A fourth commented: “Life comes at you fast, Jaden!” and a fifth said: “All of Ireland celebrated that slip I’m sure”
A sixth said: “Karma’s a b***h!” and a seventh posted: “Wink wink.”
Reward for the Bulls is a date with Leinster in the URC decider at Croke Park.
Leo Cullen’s men booked their place in the final with a commanding win over defending champions Northampton Saints.
Just 15,762 fans turned out to the Aviva Stadium for the game, but head coach Cullen is looking forward to rounding out the season at GAAHQ.
He said: “Particularly when you’re in South Africa, I’m pinching myself really in those stadiums. You do pinch yourself a little bit.
“Personally I have so much respect for those teams. We were in South Africa last year for a semi-final, obviously lost in Loftus.
“It’s not a great place to end the season. There’s joy for us in the fact that we have another week together. It’s great.
“There are some great characters in the group that have been around a long, long time. Have been great servants to the club. I know every club will have their version of that as well.
“It’s making sure we have a great week now and get excited about putting on another performance. Show what it means to play for Leinster and show what it means to represent the province.”
Cops reveal breakthrough that led police to human remains in ‘unforgiving’ search for missing teen Pheobe Bishop
COPS reveal what led them to discover human remains believed to be those of 17-year-old Pheobe Bishop, who disappeared over three weeks ago.
Investigators were steered to the crime scene – five miles from their initial search area – by a family tracking app on Pheobe’s phone.

The remains were discovered at 2.30pm on Friday in remote bushland, according to Queensland Detective Inspector Craig Mansfield.
Police believe they were not buried.
Mansfield said that the remains still need to be be formally identified: “As a result, a crime scene is still established there at the moment.”
He added: “Our forensic capabilities will hopefully be finished there today.”
“The area is in an unforgiving terrain, so it may take some time to finish that examination.”
The process of recovering the remains has been delayed by over a day – as dangerous wildlife, including feral pigs and dogs, scour the area, Daily Mail Australia reports.
The teen’s travel luggage and phone have not been found, police say.
Pheobe was last seen near Bundaberg Airport in southern Queensland at around 8.30am on May 15.
She was supposed to fly to Brisbane and then to Perth to see her “high-school sweetheart” boyfriend but CCTV footage showed that she never entered the airport.
Pheobe’s two housemates James Wood and Tanika Bromley were charged with murder on Thursday, along with two counts of interfering with a corpse.
The remains were collected on Saturday night from the Good Night Scrub National Park, where police remained on Sunday morning, according to Daily Mail Australia.
The is around an hour from Pheobe’s hometown of Gin Gin, near Bundaberg in central Queensland, where she shared a house with Wood and Bromley.

Mansfield said: “We have been in contact with Pheobe’s family to advise them of this development.
“Understandably, this caused great distress to them, however they’re supportive of the information that they’ve been receiving along the way.”
Pheobe’s distraught mum Kylie Johnson thanked police on Saturday for their efforts in finding her daughter.
“These guys have literally been on their hands and knees to find our baby and get her home to us,” she said.
“I will honestly never be able to repay them for what they have done for my family and Pheobe.
“They have worked 24 hour days since Pheobe went missing and they won’t stop until she’s home.”
On Friday, the mum made a heartbreaking statement on social media after receiving the news.
She said: “I didn’t think my heart could break anymore than it did when you went missing, or when the charges were laid but this.
“This is ripping me apart.”
Pheobe’s sister Kaylea Bishop said the teen was “loved and missed” dearly.
As she stood outside Bundaberg Magistrates Court, where Wood and Bromley’s murder charges were heard on Friday morning, she begged for help finding her sister’s body.
A candlelight vigil will take place in Gin Gin at 4pm today to honour the teen, Daily Mail reports.
People attending the vigil have reportedly been encouraged to wear bright colours and butterflies.
Wood and Bromley will return to court on August 11.
