I’ve made £18k in 7 months after losing weight & flogging my old clothes – my little-known site makes reselling easy

ARE you trying to flog your old clothes – but don’t seem to be making any money?

While most of us have heard of Vinted – where some have made a fortune of £18k – there are also other sites to check out.

In just seven months, Jess had raked in a whopping £18k thanks to this side hustle[/caption]

This is what one savvy Brit, TikToker Jess, recently shared online after raking in close to £20k in less than a year.

Jess, who posts under the username @jess.vintage.revivals, started selling items from wardrobe after an epic body transformation.

As none of the old clothes no longer fit her, she decided to sell them online – before realising she had ”the bug for reselling”.

Reselling involves purchasing products from various sources , such as manufacturers, liquidators, individuals and charity shops, and then selling them at a higher price to generate profit.

Resellers determine a price that covers their costs, for instance, the purchase price of the product and any shipping costs, and allows them to make a profit

They then sell these products through various channels, including Amazon, eBay, Etsy and Vinted.

”It started off small and I scaled it from there,” said Jess who moved from her ”items to charity shops to wholesale”.

As well as flogging the goods on Vinted, eBay and Depop, Jess also uses a little-known site to cash in – Whatnot.

The ”vintage clothing reseller” explained: ”Whatnot is a live auction selling website.

”They have an app […] and it’s a really, really nice platform with lovely people and lots of sellers, and lots of buyers.

”What I will do is I will get all my items ready and I will show those items on the screen and then people will bid if they want to buy that item.”

According to Jess, you can start at different prices, such as £1, £3 and £5 – which is ”entirely up to you”.

The site – where you can also feature the products front-and-center rather than showing your faces – also offers pre-paid shipping labels.

Once you’ve made a sale, slap the label on the box and send it out for delivery.

Do I need to pay tax on my side hustle income?

MANY people feeling strapped for cash are boosting their bank balance with a side hustle.

The good news is, there are plenty of simple ways to earn some additional income – but you need to know the rules.

When you’re employed the company you work for takes the tax from your earnings and pays HMRC so you don’t have to.

But anyone earning extra cash, for example from selling things online or dog walking, may have to do it themselves.

Stephen Moor, head of employment at law firm Ashfords, said: “Caution should be taken if you’re earning an additional income, as this is likely to be taxable.

“The side hustle could be treated as taxable trading income, which can include providing services or selling products.”

You can make a gross income of up to £1,000 a year tax-free via the trading allowance, but over this and you’ll usually need to pay tax.

Stephen added: “You need to register for a self-assessment at HMRC to ensure you are paying the correct amount of tax.

“The applicable tax bands and the amount of tax you need to pay will depend on your income.”

If you fail to file a tax return you could end up with a surprise bill from HMRC later on asking you to pay the tax you owe – plus extra fees on top.

According to Whatnot, 48-72 hours after the order is delivered, you can cash out via direct deposit.

It doesn’t have to be just clothing you’re tying to cash in from – the sellers flog electronics, collectibles, beauty, live plants, and more.

Raving about the little-known site, Jess said in a video: ”I personally kind of think it kind of has revolutionised the way we resell things.

”The thing I love the most about it is that when I get my stock in, I can show it on the screen […] and then you buy it.

”I post it out within a couple of days – so it really stops that whole issue of having to store items for a really, really long time.”

While there are plenty of pros, Jess also noted the platform does have its cons, such as the fees.

Seller fees are as follows:

  • 8% commission on the sold price of an item when it sells
  • 2.9% + 30 cents (24p) payment processing fee for the entire transaction
  • Payment processing applies to the subtotal, tax, and shipping price paid by a buyer for a given order
  • The payment processing fee is not currently applied to any international shipping/taxes.

”But with a lot of reseller websites, there are fees anyway.

”The other cons can be the price points – you might not always get the same prices you would on things like eBay, Depop and Vinted.”

Jess also added under another video that she’s ”registered as a sole trader and will pay tax during the self assessment window”.

Sky Family will be temporarily renamed to Sky Fantasy on channel 306/850.

Sky Pitch Perfect, which will replace Sky Comedy on June 7, will be reverted back into Sky Comedy on June 9, 2025.

Meanwhile, Sky Blockbusters which was introduced as a temporary channel in July 2023, will be reverting back to Sky Hits on channel 303.

After it was announced by ITV that their beloved channel ITVBe will cease to exist, the brand new – ITV Quiz – will take its place on channel 131.

This follows Sky already announcing that seven other channels will be changing this month.

From Friday June 6 Sky Romance is set to go forever – now renamed to a different title.

The beloved channel 302 will go by SuperheroHD, which is said to be a temporary change.

Sky Fairytale on channels 306/850 was renamed to Sky Family on June 2, 2025 reverting back from a temporary change.

Sky Karate Kid also had its name changed on June 2, again the channel reverted from a temporary change.

Elsewhere, channel 310 which was previously home to Sky Pride has been renamed Sky Drama.

These changes were revealed on a Sky Community page and fans expressed mixed opinions at the news.

Another said: “Great about ITV Quiz channel launching 9th June,

“So excited. It will be interesting to see what day 1 will bring.”

Sky already announced a major shake up to their system that affected all Sky Q and Sky+HD boxes.

After a number of big brands have opted to leave TV services and stick to traditional radio plus digital listening – such as Magic and Absolute Radio at the end of 2023.

To fill gaps from these departures, Sky has decided to re-arrange the channel numbers for a big chunk of the radio stations it offers on satellite.

If you’re looking for a new Sky deal, customers can get Sky Stream & Essential TV for just £15/month

The company is also giving Sky customers an upgrade for popular TV app filled with top movies.

What are Sky's early termination fees?

SKY TV customers will incur an early termination fee if they choose to cancel their contract before the end of the agreed minimum term.

The amount you’re charged depends on:

  • How long is left of your minimum term from the date your subscriptions end, calculated in days
  • The days you have already been billed for in advance
  • The products you subscribe to, the price you pay for them and when your subscriptions end

For Sky TV, early termination charges range from £14.00 to £42.89 per month, depending on the specific package.

For instance, if you cancel a standard Sky TV package priced at £33.82 per month with 12 months remaining on a 24-month contract, you would be required to pay the remaining 12 months’ fees in one lump sum.

This would result in a total early termination fee of £405.84.

The 69-year-old matriarch of the Kardashian clan recently showed off her youthful appearance as she supported daughter Kim, 44, in Paris at her burglary court case.

Kris’ rep confirmed she had “work” done but stopped short of sharing the exact procedure.

However, comedian Kathrine Ryan, 41, – who revealed she is pregnant with her fourth child – has claimed the momager had a face lift with Dr. Steven Levine that cost in the six figures.

Appearing on the Saving Grace podcast, hosted by TikTok star GK Barry (Grace Keeling), 25, she shared: “I heard through like the Jewish Broadway grapevine, yep, to which I am connected, of course, that it is Dr Steven Levine.

“I’ve seen this beautiful style, and it’s a mix of science and artistry.

“And when I had a consultation with him, he showed me before and afters of non famous consenting people to show.

“And he just does something that the others don’t.”

A ref for Kris has previously told Page Six: “We can confirm that Dr. Steven Levine did Kris Jenner’s recent work.”

KRIS’ FACE LIFT PRICE

Grace asked about how much Katherine was quoted and how much Kris’ jaw-dropping work could have cost.

The comedian replied: “So the price is different for everyone.”

Grace joked that he may have racked it up a bit for Kris “as she has money.”

Katherine replied: “And she probably wanted to not be on a wait list to get in, to get out.

“The quote was $174,000 okay.”

The price equates to around £130,000 in the United Kingdom.

Grace replied: “I mean, that’s a one bedroom house in Notting Hill.”

DECADES YOUNGER

However, the podcast host praised the plastic surgery work hailing it the “best thing since sliced bread.”

Grace continued: “It’s mad that is she like 70. That woman genuinely looks 30.

“I think it looks in like one of the best things I have ever seen in my life.”

Katherine agreed, calling it “beautiful”.

She added: “I think some of the best face lifts that we’re seeing in Hollywood now are Dr Stephen Levine.”

Kris has previously admitted to having Botox, fillers, a boob job, and a face lift, which she had back in 2011 before Kim’s wedding to Kanye West, 47.

KATHERINE’S FACE LIFT

Katherine admitted she will have a face lift at some point[/caption]

Both Grace and Katherine said they were tempted, with the latter saying: “I WILL have a face lift.”

Katheine, who hasn’t had any cosmetic surgery on her face so far – although she has had filler, Botox, and a boob job – revealed that she is not only planning a face lift but is also considering additional treatments.

Katherine, a mother of three, admitted she is seriously thinking about it after gifting her mum a face lift for her birthday.

She added: “Recovery is fine.

“She looked beautiful, like day one, she looked good.

“Been a swelling days like two to 12, and then she looked good again, and she was going out.

“Now she wasn’t under scrutiny, being like papped, but she looked good, and she couldn’t feel her face.

“She was medicated, which some would say is the best part. She was fine.”

What is a face lift and how quick is the recovery?

A FACE lift (technically called a rhytidectomy) is a cosmetic surgical procedure which tries to reduce visible signs of ageing in the face and neck.

  • The procedure begins with either general anaesthesia or local anaesthesia with sedation to ensure you’re comfortable and pain-free.
  • The surgeon makes incisions based on the type of face lift.
  • The surgeon lifts the skin and underlying tissues (SMAS layer – superficial musculoaponeurotic system).
  • Fat may be sculpted, removed, or redistributed.
  • The underlying muscle and connective tissues are tightened and repositioned to create a more youthful look.
  • The skin is gently laid back over the newly repositioned contours and incisions are closed with sutures (medical stitch) or skin adhesives.
  • Recovery time varies, but most people return to normal activities within two to four weeks.

MUM’S FACE LIFT

Katherine previously revealed that she paid “50 grand” for her mum to have a face lift.

Speaking on Vogue Williams’ Never Live It Down podcast, the actress explained that her mum Julie was 63 at the time and added that it was a “good age to get a face lift.”

Katherine defended getting work done and said: “I think there are people who look at plastic surgery, cosmetic, you know, treatments, anything, and they feel sad.

Katherine said she bought her mum a face lift as a gift[/caption]

“They’re like, ‘there are more important things in life’. We know!

“‘She should love herself more’. I do!

“Those are the funniest comments when men will try to be allies, and they’ll come in and they’ll go, ‘do you know, ladies, men don’t actually want you to’.

“And I go, ‘nothing that we do is for you at all. I don’t care what you think’.

“‘I don’t care if you live or die.’.”

PREGNANT KATHERINE

This comes as Katherine has revealed she’s expecting baby number four.

The 41-year-old and her partner Bobby Koostra will welcome another baby together, in an exciting addition to their family, just two months after Katherine’s skin cancer diagnosis.

And now, she’ll be adding baby number four to the brood, as reported by Hello!

The TV star had a mole removed privately last week, but after it was discovered to be cancerous, Katherine had to undergo another procedure.

She then revealed she has melanoma on the latest episode of her podcast Telling Everybody Everything.

It’s the second time Katherine has been diagnosed with the disease, after having first had it at the age of 21 in 2004.

Bleary-eyed Dan Osborne stumbles out of hotel after-party with Christine McGuinness while Jac Jossa was in I’m A Celeb

BLEARY-EYED Dan Osborne was seen stumbling out of a hotel after-party with Christine McGuinness while his wife Jac Jossa was in the I’m A Celeb jungle.

The 2019 images have resurfaced after The Sun revealed reality stars Dan, 33, and Christine, 37, comforted one another amid their marital woes.

The Sun revealed the pair comforted one another amid their marital woes[/caption]

The pair sent flirty texts and model Christine said Dan had joined her for raucous nights out that helped lift her spirits after her split from radio and TV host husband Paddy.

The former Towie star was enjoying a night off parenting duties at London’s Butterfly Ball, mingling with fellow TV personalities – including Christine – while Jacqueline was Down Under.

Arriving on the red carpet, the father-of-three looked sharp in a black suit paired with a skinny tie.

As the night progressed, Dan appeared more relaxed, having undone a few buttons and removed his tie.

It seemed the influencer, who had been dismissed from Towie in 2015 following threats made to his ex-girlfriend, was enjoying himself at the event.

Later in the evening, a dishevelled Dan was spotted laughing and smiling as his friends propped him up and helped him walk on the pavement.

The bash also saw Dan mingle with other reality TV personalities, including Christine, Amy Childs, Imogen Thomas and Holly Hagan.

Inside, he was pictured enjoying a private chat with Chrstine – who, at one point, bursted into laughter at something he’d said.

At the time, reality star Dan was still building bridges with his actress wife over previous cheating claims.

EastEnders star Jacqueline and Christine are both represented by the InterTalent agency.

Dan is adamant nothing happened romantically between the pair, even suggesting that the text messages between them were “deep fakes or AI” when asked.

Earlier this year, The Sun revealed Dan had moved out of his and Jacqueline’s home and into a property he had bought behind his wife’s back.

Both temporarily removed their wedding rings.

It was the second time they had parted ways over the past few years.

Although it was claimed mum-of-two Jacqueline was furious, she later insisted the property purchase was for investment purposes only.

Christine, married to Paddy for 11 years — and who has won an award for her documentary about her autism struggles — recently pulled out of Channel 4 show, Celebs Go Dating.

In recent weeks, she has revealed she dated both men and women since she was a teenager.

Another friend added: “Christine is in a great place.

“She and Paddy are getting on well, everything is amicable, and she’s super-excited about the future.

“Life is good.

“Her friendship with Dan seems a lifetime ago.

“They don’t really speak now.”

‘Positive vibes’

Christine and Dan have been involved in charity football matches with Sellebrity Soccer together, including in February 2023.

She also managed Dan and other celebs in a game in February last year, in which he captained the team and scored in a 6-4 win on the Isle of Sheppey, Kent.

Proudly celebrating their victory, Christine wrote on online: “It was my positive vibes I was sending.

“My men never let me down, we only do winning.”

Dan has previously been hit by claims of cheating.

But a pal insisted this behaviour was all “very much in the past”.

Just months after fan favourite Jacqueline was crowned Queen of the I’m A Celeb Jungle, Dan admitted to infidelity.

He told The Sun he “takes full responsibility for being crap”.

He said: “I’ve made mistakes.

“I’ve done things I shouldn’t have done.

“Me and Jac have spoken about that and she has forgiven me.

“I know in the past I’ve denied things when they’re not true, then when something has been true, I probably just kept my mouth shut.

“I was a different person.”
