What is Ukraine’s ‘mystery missile’? Russia quaking after Kyiv uses ‘new weapon’ to blitz Putin on night of hell

VLADIMIR Putin has been left shell-shocked by a brand new mystery missile he claims Ukraine attacked him with overnight.

A massive strike ripped through an airport in Bryansk and reportedly destroyed a placement of Putin’s Iskander missile system.

A major explosion and fire with secondary detonations at Bryansk airfield led to speculation by Russian war channels that a new Western missiles was used, with some claims of a German-supplied Taurus.

Thursday saw one of the most explosive evenings of fighting for some time during the gruelling war.

The night of hell saw Putin exact revenge for Ukraine’s stunning Operation Spiderweb drone blitz last weekend.

The Russia tyrant hammered Ukraine with 407 drones and 44 missiles – unleashing a deadly wave of strikes that killed three and injured dozens.

But a valiant Ukraine hit back with their own set of attacks.

Dramatic footage shows one explosion, believed to be from the mystery weapon, followed by a powerful secondary blast.

A follow up attack also took out a launcher for the Iskander a day earlier, Ukraine claimed.

But the blasts were something never been seen before by the quaking Russians during their illegal invasion.

This led to speculation on pro-Kremlin media channels that Ukraine may have fired a powerful German-supplied Taurus missile.

Putin-loyalists Tsargrad said on Telegram: “Did the first Taurus strike Russia?

“Unprecedented escalation in Bryansk and destruction of Iskander missiles.”

As channel MIG Russia claimed the pinpoint Bryansk strike was carried out with Western-made long-range missiles.

If it was a Taurus, it would mark the first ever time it has been used by Kyiv.

The Russians would also view it as an “unprecedented escalation” in the conflict due to the damage the weapon can cause.

Discourse around German weapons has ramped up in the parts 24 hours ever since Chancellor Friedrich Merz met in the Oval Office with Donald Trump.

German sources have had to deny that any agreement had been reached during the talks to send supplies of long-range Taurus’ to Ukraine.

Merz had announced at the end of May that Ukraine’s key backers – including Germany, France, the UK and the US – had all lifted restrictions on where donated weapons can be used.

And the announcement could even mean that Britain’s state-of-the-art Storm Shadow missiles could soon be used by Ukraine.

Britain’s bunker-busting Storm Shadow rockets are a nightmare for enemies as they are capable of dodging air defences.

The £800,000 missiles – already being fired within Ukraine – use GPS to precisely hit targets, and can travel at 600mph.

The Taurus missile system is widely regarded as Germany‘s equivalent to the Storm Shadow.

The tit-for-tat attacks came hours after US President Donald Trump said it might be better to let Ukraine and Russia fight for a while.

The president has been so far unsuccessful on getting the two countries to agree to peace – with Moscow not moving on its demands.

The American was full of praise for Ukraine though as he labelled the daring Operation Spiderweb attack as “strong and badass”.

The daring operation saw a fired up Ukraine wreck 41 Russian planes across the strategic airfields.

Putin’s doomsday bomber fleet was crippled with a third of his most prized aircraft lying in smouldering wrecks.

It comes as a new report accused Putin of plotting a final killer offensive along three fronts to win the war this summer.

The Russian army is nearing one million casualties in its bungled three-year-old invasion as peace talks continue to stall.

Now, some 125,000 Russian soldiers are reportedly right now massing along the Sumy and Kharkiv frontiers, according to Ukraine’s military intelligence.

Over the past fortnight border villages have fallen to Russia as it is may to be preparing the ground for the offensive.

But some senior commanders in Ukraine believe that could be a feint and Russia is actually preparing to attack further south to push further into the Donbas, Ukraine Pravda reports.

Russia is likely to attack through three areas near each other in the Donbas – Kramatorsk, Kostiantynivka, and Pokrovsk.

But the 11-10 1,000 Guineas winner didn’t seem to handle the rollercoaster Epsom track.

And by the time the 2f pole did appear she had loads of work to do to chase down Aidan O’Brien pair 9-2 Minnie Hauk and 17-2 Whirl.

Desert Flower did get going but far too late.

It was down to a battle between the two Coolmore runners with Moore, so, so strong in the finish, prevailing.

More to follow.

Unassuming corner shop was seen by millions on classic 70s sitcom – but would you recognise it?

A CORNER shop from a classic 70s sitcom went under the hammer last year and is now an unassuming home.

The building quietly sits in the Balby suburb of Doncaster in South Yorkshire.

Many passersby would not know it used to be famous[/caption]

It went under the hammer with a guide price of £150,000, before selling for £145,000 in October.

It’s likely that those living next-door have no idea that the building was once on one of Britain’s most iconic TV shows.

Open All Hours, which aired in 1976, ran for four seasons.

It was rated the eighth best sitcom in the country in 2004.

The show ran from 1976 to 1985 and had 17 million viewers a week at its peak.

Created by Roy Clarke, the plot followed Albert Arkwright, who runs a grocery shop in Doncaster’s Balby and is in love with Nurse Gladys, who lives opposite his shop.

But Gladys rejects his proposals as she has to look after her ill mother.

The fictional shop owned by Arkwright – played by Ronnie Barker – used a residential property for exterior shots.

After the show ended, the building went up for auction but failed to sell.

It was earmarked for demolition before campaigners saved it in 2008.

The property was then concerned into a unisex hairdressers, called the Beautique hair salon.

Auctioneers hoped that the property’s TV history would attract plenty of bidders when it went to auction on October 16 with a guide price of £150,000.

The building came with two self-contained flats on the upper floor and boasts an annual rent of £16,440 when fully let.

Film crews moved in for weeks at a time for each series of Open All Hours.

The end-terrace on Lister Avenue in Balby, less than a mile from Doncaster city centre, became a tourist attraction over the years.

But now, those passing by would never guess at the house’s history and fame.

Sir David Jason reveals touching gesture from Ronnie Barker after legendary Open All Hours star retired

By Caron McKinlay

ACTOR David Jason revealed this morning how the late Ronnie Barker gave him a touching gift.

The two men worked together on classic sitcom Open All Hours from 1976 to 1985.

During an appearance on Chris Moyles’ Radio X show today, Sir David recounted how Ronnie gave him a certificate with fancy old fashioned writing.

Chris asked if the writing was Calligraphy and David replied: “Yes, that’s it. Yeah.”

David then went on to reveal that the certificate was about a foot wide by about two foot long .

The certificate said ‘Sir Ronnie Barker will give to his honourable friend, Sir David Jason, the title of The Governor which he shall now relinquish.’

Chris and David agreed that the certificate was a lovely thing to do and then David asked Chris if he could guess where it’s displayed.

Chris correctly guessed it was displayed in the downstairs toilet and they both laughed.

David went on to say that: “Ronnie B was, which I learned, so generous with the whole team.”

He said that Ronnie knew that the only way you can get a successful show is to incorporate and encourage the team that you have.

He said: “So, he had time for everybody, and he was generous of spirit and of time.”

David then said: “And because you do hear – no names, no pack drill – mainly some of the big names coming out of Hollywood who can be extremely difficult and a pain.”

Instagram post detailing the author's experience with emotional and physical abuse.
Nicoline posted this statement on social media

He was arrested and spent several hours in police cells before admitting a charge of domestic violence in court.

Now Nicoline has spoken out in a statement – confessing: “My fractures on my body have finally healed but I’m wounded inside.”

Recalling the traumatic experience, she said: “I was brutally thrown out of our new home in the middle of the night wearing only my pyjamas.

“I opened the door to let him in and only minutes after I found myself laying down on the stairs outside our house.

My clothes and belongings were being thrown out from the balcony down on me. I was injured.”

Nicoline also placed the blame for Arg’s violence with constant clashes over his ex-girlfriend Lydia Bright.

Shortly before the attack, she posted a story questioning whether it was acceptable for someone to remain close to their ex while in a new relationship.

And Nicoline claimed she and Arg often clashed over Lydia’s involvement in their romance.

She said: “I felt there were too many people in our relationship: me, my boyfriend and his ex. ‘Three’s a crowd’, they say.

“I asked so many times if we could be just the two of us, but the answer was a strong NO.

“I experienced what I can only describe as targeted emotional distress which he allowed to continue.”

Nicoline continued: “After being together for one year my boyfriend finally promised me that he would have boundaries.

“He would put a stop to all that had been going on for months.

“But he didn’t. Instead he broke the promise and her controlling behaviour continued. The rest is history.”

Nicoline Artursson's statement in full

It’s now been a month. I still can’t believe it.

My fractures on my body have finally healed but I’m wounded inside. I’ve been quiet long enough. Silence protects no one – and it almost destroyed me.

What started as a love story sadly turned into something else. Behind the pictures, promises and the plans for a life together – the beautiful days – changed into something into sadness with emotional manipulation and eventually physical harm.

I loved deeply, believed in our future and stood by someone I thought would protect me and instead I was left alone and harmed in ways I never imagined.

I was not only failed by him but deeply affected by the presence of unresolved ties to his past.

Yes I posted an Instagram story with a simple yes or no question about if your ex should be a part of your present relationship. I felt there were too many people in our relationship: me, my boyfriend and his ex. ‘Three’s a crowd’, they say.

I asked so many times if we could be just the two of us, but the answer was a strong NO. I experienced what I can only describe as targeted emotional distress which he allowed to continue.

The ex and her family put us through so much misery and false accusations, I won’t go into details. They had no reason whatsoever to do what they did to us, but for some reason they wouldn’t let go and let us enjoy our love.

Everybody knows that real friends support you and want to see you happy.

So I posted a story on Instagram.

After being together for one year my boyfriend finally promised me that he would have boundaries.

He would put a stop to all that had been going on for months.

But he didn’t. Instead he broke the promise and her controlling behaviour continued. The rest is history.

I was brutally thrown out of our new home in the middle of the night wearing only my pyjamas. I opened the door to let him in and only minutes after I found myself laying down on the stairs outside our house.

My clothes and belongings were being thrown out from the balcony down on me. I was injured.

Thanks to incredible neighbours who heard and saw what happened and acted, I got help. They called police, brought me to safety and ensured the incident was taken seriously.

A gentleman does not abuse you and end up in jail and call you the love of his life. A gentleman does not blame you for his actions. A gentleman will confide in his partner, family and close circle of friends, keeping them close and safe. A gentleman chooses you always and leaves the past in the past – including exes.

Life is to be lived together and not to please people who want to take advantage of you. At the end of the day, fame can only do so much – it’s all about being strong and growing together.

Life is simply not a reality TV show, life is real.

I have tried to understand why. I have cried so many tears thinking about the way he chose to hurt me. He said he loved me and I believed him and here we are.

There is now a legal record of what happened. Violence has no excuse – no matter how much love preceded it.

To those who questioned me for staying as long as I did: I stayed because I believed in love. I believed he and we could grow, could heal, could choose peace. But love doesn’t survive in chaos. And it cannot survive where violence lives.

To every woman reading this: if you’ve ever questioned your worth, your safety or your sanity in a relationship – this is your sign. You deserved to be loved with care and integrity. And you are not alone.

To the men: real strength is protection. Real love is safe. Be the kind of man who lifts women up – not one who breaks them down, neither by violence or silence.

To the future: never say never. I will get the little family I’ve always dreamed of and have my dream wedding to symbolise and celebrate true love in front of my dear family and friends.

I’m healing now. Slowly, bravely and unapologetically. I will rise and I will use my voice – not for vengeance but for truth. For every woman who’s been silenced by someone who said ‘I love you’ and then proved otherwise.

This is not just my story. It’s a reminder: abuse – whether emotional, psychological or physical – has no place in love.
