Eva Longoria reveals the Cannes red carpet blunder she’ll always regret & her secrets to great style in your 40s

EVA Longoria has revealed all on her school run style and biggest fashion regret, as well as the top beauty secrets she swears by.

The 49-year-old Hollywood actress also got candid on her celebrity “style icon”, as well as the wardrobe item she has “way too many” of but just can’t throw away.

She described Victoria Beckham as her “style icon”[/caption]

Speaking to The Times, the brunette beauty, who describes her style as “muted” as a result of her love of “classic styles and comfort”, explained that she admired her mother, aunt and sisters’ style when growing up.

She confessed: “I never had to look far for an example of what a woman should be. I had really great role models in my family.

“My aunt was well travelled and always wore a scarf and perfume. She was – and is – so glamorous. That’s what I wanted to be like.”

Whilst she looked up to her family members for fashion advice, now, her celeb pal, Victoria Beckham, 50, is her go-to.

Eva beamed: “[Victoria Beckham] is my style icon. I aspire to be like her one day, and I never will.”

For those eager to look inside Eva’s wardrobe, you’re sure to find “way too many” pairs of white trainers.

But whilst Eva’s businessman husband José Bastón thinks her collection of similar shoes is excessive, the Desperate Housewives star claimed: “But I need them. I can’t say out loud how many I have.”

When it comes to the secret to red carpet dressing, Eva praised her hair, make-up and stylist team, as she explained: “They put so much thought into it that I don’t have to. They pull photos and references and create the illusion that is Eva Longoria.”

But for those without a load of professionals to hand, if you want great style in your forties, Eva advised: “I think less trendy, more classic and more investment pieces that will last longer. You can justify that expense over the years of wear you’ll get out of it.”

Whilst Eva is often dressed up to the nines for posh celeb events, when it comes to dropping off her six-year-old Ssantiago Enrique Bastón to school, Eva simply confirmed that her style is “sweats or yoga pants.”.

But despite keeping it simple for the school run, when it comes to her skincare routine, you can expect a host of pricey gadgets.

The beauty enthusiast opened up: “I’m currently obsessed with the TheraFace Pro [£375]. It’s this machine, it turns hot and cold and you can de-puff your eyes. It is the greatest invention ever.

I’m Mexican so I have great hair

“I also like the Facify Beauty Wand [£345] to use on my face.”

But where her luscious locks are concerned, she simply confirmed: “Well, I’m Mexican so I have great hair.”

Top beauty trends for 2025

Hayley Walker, Beauty Expert at Justmylook spoke exclusively to Fabulous about the big beauty trends for 2025.

Haircare

Hair gloss treatments are a must-have as beauty enthusiasts love the salon-quality shine and enhanced colour delivered by the trending treatment.

Hair glosses are multifunctional as they nourish the hair while offering a vibrant, healthy-looking finish, combining 2025’s core trends. This treatment is perfect for those seeking an affordable, at-home glow-up.

2025 will focus on skin repairing and texture-enhancing treatments.

Skincare

Rejuran treatment, a celebrity-endorsed procedure, will see a rise in demand this year as many seek to enhance the skin’s appearance. The procedure entails injecting polynucleotides derived from salmon DNA to enhance skin texture and elasticity. “Rejuvenation is expected to dominate 2025 skincare trends as many seek to a achieve flawless, youthful complexion.

Skincare routines will also include back-to-basic products for a simplified routine.

Ginseng cleansing oil and panthenol cream are among the trending products for 2025. The cleansing oil is excellent for dissolving makeup and impurities without clogging pores and is enriched with nourishing properties to leave the skin feeling and looking refreshed and radiant.

Makeup

Makeup trends will follow suit to achieve youthful and radiant looks. Under-eye brighteners will be sought-after products for delivering coverage while enhancing natural radiance. This beauty tool will complement natural beauty while improving and brightening dull skin.

Makeup looks will be bigger and bolder in 2025 with cluster lashes expected to surge this year. These lashes bring the glam to glamorous looks as they deliver dramatic volume to enhance everyday or special occasion looks.

Peel-off lip stains circulated the beauty industry in 2024 and are expected to dominate in 2025. The growing popularity of this product is due to its ability to provide long-lasting, transfer-proof colour to lips, enhancing a natural aesthetic. Additionally, cherry-coded aesthetics are expected to be everywhere this year as the deep, rich hue can be achieved using peel-off lip stains or bold lip looks for a dramatic effect.

Nails

2025 will be another year of countless, show-stopping nail trends. Goddess Nails and Aura Nails deserve an honourable mention as these designs channel an ethereal, celestial aesthetic for bold, self-expressing nails.

And although we think Eva always looks fabulous whatever the occasion, the savvy mum was eager to open up on her biggest outfit regret which still haunts her, all 20 years later.

Reflecting on the 2005 red carpet, Eva shared: “The first time I went to the Cannes Film Festival sticks out. I went to Melrose Avenue in Los Angeles and bought a $39 [£31] dress because I was told I needed a dress.

“It looked amazing and people were like, “Who are you wearing?” I thought, why are they asking me that? It was this gold knit dress and even L’Oréal were like, “Maybe next time we style you.” I really didn’t understand the gravity of that red carpet.”

British Gas is giving people free hot water as part of major new trial to slash bills

BRITISH Gas is trialling a new way to pump homes with hot water, which could drastically cut down household bills.

The energy giant, which powers about 7 million homes in the UK, is using the leftover energy from computer servers to heat water.

Computer servers can generate a lot of warmth.

All of the data they process makes the machines whirr and produce hot air.

Think about how hot your laptop can get – and then imagine a warehouse full of them. That’s a lot of heat.

And currently, most of that heat is being blown away by cooling fans inside the data centres.

Wasted heat is a problem for data centres, because it requires a lot of money and energy to cool.

But cloud computing provider Heata, which has partnered with British Gas, wants to put mini data processing units on hot water cylinders at home.

These units process Heata’s cloud computing workloads, while providing free hot water without using any gas.

The technology is expected to shave up to £350 off your annual hot water bill if you use electric, according to Heata, and up to £120 on gas-heated water.

It does mean you’ll have to install a hot water cylinder, however, as it can’t be used on a combi boiler.

The pair will be trialling this new method on 10 British Gas customers over the next three months.

“Innovative projects like this are another example of how the UK is becoming a leader in cutting carbon emissions,” Paul Lodwidge, Head of Energy Product & Propositions from British Gas, said in a statement.

The trial will help British Gas and Heata work out just how effective mini data centres at home could heat water, and slash energy bills.

The pair will also “co-develop customer propositions in 2025”, a statement from Centrica, British Gas’ parent company, said.

Demon appliances that drain your energy on standby

Appliances around the home can quietly guzzle energy adding extra pounds to your bill when you are not getting any use from them.

This can cost you a typical £45 a year but can be even more if you have a lot of appliances plugged in.
Here is a list of appliances that you should make sure are fully switched off or unplugged at the mains when not in use.

  • Television

Leaving your TV on standby all the time can feel easier, but is costing you in the long term.

  • Desktop computer

Keeping your computer switched on or on standby when you’re not using it wastes energy

  • Microwave

A microwave is one of the appliances that will eat up electricity when left on standby. Unplug it from the walls and you could save money on your energy bill

  • Outdoor security lights

Security lights can deter burglars by turning on automatically once someone is nearby.

But oversensitive lighting that turns on too easily can see you pay extra.

  • Electric towel rail

An electric towel rail can warm up your towels or help dry your clothes.

But there is a price to pay for this comfort, especially if it isn’t being used.

GAA club leads tributes to ‘beloved friend’ and brother of Wicklow star who brought ‘joy to us all’ after tragic death

A passionate GAA and rugby star, his passing yielded a deluge of tributes from across the sporting spectrum in the Garden County.

The two brothers were cornerstones of Barndarrig’s first senior football championship side, with the club paying tribute on social media.

It read: “It is with deep sorrow that we announce the tragic passing of our beloved teammate and friend, Brendan Stone, who left us far too soon.

“Brendan was a cherished member of our club, a dedicated athlete, and an integral part of our community.

“His talent, spirit, and kindness touched everyone who had the privilege of knowing them.

“Brendan had an infectious passion for the sport and was known for his bravery, physicality and determination.

“Whether on or off the field, Brendan brought joy, laughter, and inspiration to us all.

“Brendan was part of the latest generation of the Stone family donning the blue & white of Barndarrig, and still proudly displayed by his brothers and sisters who are the cornerstone of teams they feature on.

“He will have been proud to have featured on the first ever Senior football championship side alongside his brother Malachy, bringing a level of physicality and bravery synonymous with the Stone name.

“To the Stone family Peter, Patsy, Roisin, Aoibhin, Malachy, Fainche, Máire and Diarmuid we offer our deepest condolences, know that we are with you through life’s highs and lows, as you have been for us.”

Oisin McConville’s Wicklow side’s Division 4 league game against Wexford was postponed at the weekend.

And the county said it was “heartbroken” by his untimely passing.

Wicklow GAA said: “Brendan was known to many for his incredible sporting ability, but above all else, he was a beloved son and brother.

“Today, our deepest thoughts and sympathies are with his family—Peter, Patsy, Roisin, Aoibhin, Malachy, Fainche, Máire, and Diarmuid—along with his teammates, friends, and all who were privileged to know him.

“This is a profound loss, and it will take time for us all to come to terms with it.

“For now, our focus is on respecting the privacy of his family and supporting those who played, worked, and shared treasured memories with Brendan, especially the community of Barndarrig GAA Club, where his presence will be deeply missed but never forgotten.

“We are truly grateful for the kindness and support shown by our colleagues in Croke Park and the wider GAA family during this difficult time.”

‘PROFOUND SHOCK’

Along with being a skilled footballer, Brendan was a prodigious talent on the rugby field, having played for Wicklow RFC.

He played for the club since he was six, and was part of its first-ever under-20s team.

He was the 2024 Players’ Player of the Year having led the U18s to a Leinster treble.

Stone also inspired Colaiste Chill Mhantain schools’ team to a historic McMullen Cup final win in Energia Park.

He had followed in the footsteps of his grandfather, Malachy, who played for Wicklow RFC in the early 1960s, while his father Peter and brother Malachy also played.

The club said: “It is with profound shock and sadness that we inform you of the tragic passing of our beloved teammate and dear friend Brendan Stone.

“Brendan was a brilliant young rugby player and a fearless competitor.

“He played the game of rugby with skill, balance, speed and ferocity but always with a smile on his face.

“He was a lovely, kind and friendly young man with a wonderful sense of humour and an infectious smile.

“To Brendan’s heartbroken parents, Peter and Patsy, his brothers Malachy and Diarmuid, sisters Aoibhinn, Roisin, Moira and Fainche and extended family and friends, we offer our sincere sympathies on your great loss.

“In this time of unimaginable grief, we will stand together as a club and as a community, offering whatever support we can to Brendan’s family, teammates, and friends.

“May his gentle soul rest in peace.”

Bonnie Blue is back at taking the virginities of ‘barely legal’ men after being banned from AUS for similar stunt

CONTROVERSIAL OnlyFans model Bonnie Blue has claimed she will be doing another sick Spring Break challenge this year.

The 25-year-old, who left social media users stunned after uploading a cryptic ”cravings” post on Instagram last week, was banned from Australia for a similar stunt in 2024.

The notorious Brit porn star sparked backlash after getting lads to queue up at British universities to have sex with her while she filmed the romps – and planned to do the same Down Under.

Bonnie, from Stapleford in Nottinghamshire, is known for sleeping with 18-year-olds to “help them lose their virginity” and recording it for her OnlyFans page.

Her sick stunts, which included attending Nottingham Trent University and offering students sex if they let her film the bizarre encounters, has led her to be branded as a “predator” by many critics.

Bonnie had planned to visit a uni on Australia’s Gold Coast for free “sex marathons” where she’d bonk freshers and film the X-rated sessions before flogging the footage online.

However, her plans suffered a huge blow after her visa was cancelled by the Department of Home Affairs on November 7.

Since then, the 25-year-old has allegedly broken the world record after she claimed to have bedded over 1,000 men in just 12 hours earlier this year.

And now Bonnie has revealed she has some mega plans set for this year already.

”Okay, so at last Spring Break I took so many virginities and saw so many different sized penises – and I cannot wait to do the same this year,” she told her followers on Instagram.

”And I’m even going to give a big present to the smallest [penis].”

This comes just days after Bonnie revealed that she is not pregnant.

She also said that the rumours had been started by “the media”, and she had no idea what she was being asked for a comment for when initially approached.

But as the speculation continued to swirl, Bonnie decided to try and start “giving back”.

“So the last 24 hours I’ve hinted at being pregnant,” she said.

“I have never confirmed I was pregnant because I would never, ever lie about pregnancy,” Bonnie added, saying that doing so would be a “step too far”.

Asked why she thinks it’s too far, Bonnie explained that she herself went through a period of trying to get pregnant for a “long amount of time”.

Who is Bonnie Blue?

Born in May 1999, Bonnie – whose real name is Tia Billinger – grew up in a small Derbyshire village, and attended the Friesland School in the village of Sandiacre.

She has two half-siblings – a sister and a brother – who have always remained out of the public eye.

She never knew her biological father, and considers stepfather Nicholas Elliott her dad.

Bonnie also became something of a dance star in her local area, and competed in the British Street Dance Championships alongside her sister back in 2015.

She also had a part-time job at Poundstretcher as a teenager.

After school, she began working in recruitment.

In October 2022, Bonnie married Oliver Davidson, who she had started dating when she was just 15.

Once they were married, they moved to Australia, where Bonnie continued working in recruitment.

However, it was in Australia that she decided to pursue a different line of work, and tried her luck as a ‘cam girl’ – crediting Oliver for giving her the confidence to enter the adult entertainment world.

She quickly made a name for herself in the industry, and was soon making £5,000 a week.

But while her work life was going from strength to strength, her relationship was crumbling, and she and Oliver split after almost a decade together.

She moved over to OnlyFans following her cam girl success, and once again found fame on there.

She quickly became a favourite on the site, especially thanks to her “niche” of sleeping with young male students – such as when she bedded 158 students during Nottingham Trent University’s freshers week in September 2024.

Bonnie is now estimated to be worth £3 million, and makes around £600,000 a month on OnlyFans.

Her family are also supportive of her work, with mum Sarah Billinger even claiming she’s her daughter’s PA, and helps clean up after Bonnie’s events – as well as handing out condoms to young clients.

In January 2025, Bonnie claimed to have broken the world record for the most amount of sex in 12 hours, after apparently sleeping with 1,057 men from 1pm to 1am at a secret London event.

“And it was honestly like the most lonely experience,” she sighed.

“Because you don’t really tell family and friends – it’s not something like that’s spoken about much.

“So if I was to have seen someone joking about pregnancy I wouldn’t have seen the funny side of it.”

Bonnie also revealed that the expense of the process of trying to get pregnant was immense, and even shelling out on pregnancy and ovulation tests, plus the vitamins and supplements she was advised to take, was a pricey process.

“It’s hard and then you see all these other people getting pregnant or people joking about it, and it’s something… l as a woman you’re like why can’t I get pregnant, I should be able to get pregnant.

“So yeah I knew like my only sort of options was potentially IVF or looking other options, and I didn’t have the money for that.”

Documentary maker Josh Lee Spooner then said that he and Bonnie’s team had suggested some things to the creator to do with the pregnancy “prank”, which she had turned down due to her “respect for women”.

‘Pay for somebody’s IVF journey’

The comment was possibly referring to Bonnie’s adult creator rival Lily Phillips, who posed with a large “baby bump” last week and started rumours that SHE’S pregnant.

Bonnie went on to say that with the “media attention and the extra income I have had over the last few days” she has decided to “pay for somebody’s IVF journey”.

“I want to do good and I want to do better,” she continued.

“I want to pleasure people – and I don’t just mean guys -and yeah I think paying for someone’s IVF journey is something I’m passionate about, something I want to do, and something that’s going to be good to do with my money.”

Bonnie insisted she “doesn’t mind the hate” or being “judged” because that means she’s then able to fund someone else’s IVF process.

“So yes I bonk barely legals, yes I will drain your husband on a regular basis – especially when you’re not doing it – but I also want to do other things like pay people’s IVF journey,” she said.

Bonnie went on to ask women or couples looking to start IVF to drop her a message on Instagram to let her know about their “journey” and “situation”.

As for how she’s planning to choose the lucky recipient of her funds?

“Maybe I should start a queue,” she laughed.

“An IVF journey queue.”
