Southampton star Tyler Dibling wanted by Bayern Munich as Tottenham joined by three European giants in transfer race

SOUTHAMPTON wonderkid Tyler Dibling is being chased by THREE German giants as well as Tottenham, SunSport can reveal.

The 18-year-old has emerged as one of the Premier League’s brightest young players this season and is almost certain to leave St Mary’s in the summer.

Reports in Germany claimed last week that the teenager is being courted by RB Leipzig – with the club’s owners determined to push through a deal.

Dibling is believed to be Leipzig‘s number one summer target.

But they’re not his only admirers.

SunSport can reveal Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund are also now chasing the player.

Bayern believe the chance to play with England skipper Harry Kane will persuade Dibling to move.

The English youth international has come up through the ranks at Southampton.

He got promoted to the first team at the start of this season and has not looked back since.

While the Saints have been struggling in the Premier League, the 18-year-old’s performances have been a massive positive.

He has been involved in 24 games in all competitions and has contributed to six goals.

The interest from overseas is matched by interest from here in England too.

Spurs and Manchester United are both believed to be admirers of the player, with reports suggesting Dibling is seen by Ruben Amorim as a potential replacement for Alejandro Garnacho, who could move to Chelsea before the window slams shut.

Tottenham are also reportedly trying to push through a deal in this window for the player.

But despite the interest in Dibling, Southampton are not keen to let him move in January.

He is seen as vital in what appears to be Southampton’s very remote chances of beating the drop.

But the player and his agent may have the final say – and could push for a deal to happen before the window closes next week.

But who was actually behind the fire?[/caption]

There is set to be devastation on Coronation Street after a mystery figure pushed a lit rag through the letterbox of number eight.

A number of residents will come under suspicion as mysterious disappearances rattle the residents of Weatherfield.

But who will that person be? We look at the main suspects as three people seem to go AWOL.

David

Did David really put his plan into action?[/caption]

David (Jack P. Shepherd) will make a call to Andy to arrange a time for their plan.

His brother Nick (Ben Price) will remind him that it’s Sarah’s (Tina O’Brien) birthday party.

He will be left unaware that Logan (Sean Ward) is listening in and hearing every word of their conversation.

Sarah will tells Nick she’s worried Harvey will get wind of all of the fact that the entire Platt family will all be in in the one place.

As such, they will be sitting ducks and a massive target for him.

But David will still choose to go ahead with his plan, so he will lie to Sarah that he’s at a client’s house and won’t be attending her party.

Later at the hospital as Max is left in a critical condition, he would make some eerie confessions to his wife Shona (Julia Goulding).

A distraught David tells his partner that it’s his fault and he wishes he’d never stolen the money.

Where was David during the time when the fire was first started?

Leanne

Tracy (Kate Ford) will reveal that she can’t get hold of Amy (Elle Mulvaney), as Steve thinks she spent the night at the party.

However, he’s guilty after he ignored her desperate messages after a secret night of passion with Leanne.

After the pair opted for the bedroom, they then decided to simply move forward with their friendship.

Leanne (Jane Danson) previously started a fire in her ex-fiance Nick’s flat, as she’s still heartbroken after his affair with her sister was exposed.

Biggest soap stunts

By Conor O’Brien

Soaps are no stranger to dramatic stunts in the storylines. Not only do these moments create a spectacle for viewers, they also fundamentally change characters’ lives.

Here is a look at some of the biggest soap stunts from over the years.

CORONATION STREET

  • Tram crash (2010): The ITV soap marked its 50th anniversary with a intense tram crash – and live episode to boot. Overall, the crash and its effects were broadcast across a week in December 2010. Its resulting chaos saw regular characters Ashley Peacock (Steven Arnold) and Molly Dobbs (Vicky Binns) die.
  • Richard Hillman tries to kill the Platts (2003): Of all the men unlucky-in-love Gail tied the knot with, Richard Hillman (Brian Capron) is probably the one she regrets most in hindsight. In 2003, murderer Richard tried to kill his step-family: first by gassing them with car fumes and then driving Gail (Helen Worth), Sarah (Tina O’Brien), David (Jack P. Shepherd) and Bethany (Amy and Emily Walton) into a canal.

EASTENDERS

  • Queen Vic fire (2010): In September 2010, EastEnders bid farewell to matriarch Peggy Mitchell (Barbara Windsor) as a permanent fixture on the soap – she returned as a guest before the character’s death in 2016. In the build-up to her initial exit, Peggy had trapped crack cocaine-addicted son Phil (Steve McFadden) in the Queen Vic. However, he escaped and set the boozer on fire.
  • Bus crash (2017): In April 2017, a total of 11 Albert Square residents had their lives at risk in a terrifying bus crash. The stunt saw a double decker bus – the 764 to Barking – lose control and crash through the Albert Square market before hitting a low-level bridge. Notable passengers at the time included Denise Fox (Diane Parish) and Louise Mitchell (Tilly Keeper).

EMMERDALE

  • James Barton’s death (2016): Interestingly about James’ (Bill Ward) death was that it came in a spiral of events. After wife Emma (Gillian Kearney) locked James up in a jealous rage, he escaped and they tussled on a bridge over the bypass. Emma pushed him and James fell into traffic, in turn causing a 12-vehicle pile up, As well as James dying, key characters including Ashley Thomas (John Middleton) and Rhona Goskirk (Zoe Henry) were injured.

However, she will still seek the company of Steve and persuade him to get time off work.

She will ask him to join her for a boozy afternoon, but sadly he’s not keen for another go and she will be left disappointed.

The next time she is seen, will be when the fire engine and ambulance arrive on the street.

Toyah (Georgia Taylor) is set to be left in critical condition as she suffers from both smoke inhalation and a severe head wound.

Leanne approaches to check on Toyah, but Nick will send her packing as she appears to be completely drunk.

Later at the hospital, Nick will accuse her of starting the fire, although she assures him that she had nothing to do with it.

As she looks for her purse in her coat pocket, she will find a hidden box of matches.

What did she really do that afternoon? Did Leanne start the fire?

Abi

ITV
Abi will go round to the Platts after she is left furious by Toyah’s call to social services[/caption]

Sam will suggest to Abi (Sally Carman) that she should bring Alfie to Sarah’s birthday party after his recent car ordeal.

However, Abi will soon be left utterly furious to realise it was Toyah who reported her to social serviced.

Toyah will burst into the bistro office to find Harry watching Hope’s live stream of a seance in number eight with Ruby, Lily and Sam.

She orders the kids out, but Abi is set to herself into the office after hearing about the live stream from Jack.

As she rounds on Toyah for making the phone call, she will accidentally knock over a bottle of red wine.

However, this triggers another image in her mind as she is reminded of her dead son Seb as he was covered in blood.

She will then suffer another panic attack as Toyah reaches out to her, only to get slapped by Abi in her confused state.

Kevin (Michael Le Vell) will later admit to Debbie (Sue Devaney) that one of the jerry-cans is missing from the garage.

He goes through the CCTV footage and he spotted a hooded figure searching for the canister.

Was Abi fully out of her mind at the time of the fire?

Ruby could be seen tenderly holding her newborn in her arms as she gazed at him adoringly.

But the influencer was left devastated as she revealed that her little boy had sadly passed away – saying “we’ll meet again”.

Alongside the photo, she wrote a heartfelt message which read: “Darling, sweet boy Romeo Civzelis. We are sat here with an empty womb, empty cot at home and a broken heart.

“Your wings were ready but our hearts wasn’t. Rest in peace my angel boy Romeo. I will never comprehend what has happened.

“We dressed him, we held him, kissed him, and told him how much we loved him.

“Mummy and daddy love you SO much my darling ‘we’ll meet again, I don’t know where, I don’t know when, but I know we’ll meet again , some sunny day’.

“Thank you to my amazing fiancé and mum for being by my side.”

Ruby also shared a photo with her fiance as they pair held their son in their arms.

The heartbroken mum added: “Mummy and daddy love you. Romeo, you saved me in so many ways, you will never understand.

“I’m sorry I couldn’t save you.

“Sleep well baby boy.”

Ruby’s close friends were quick to share their message of support and condolences.

Former Love Island star Chloe Crowhurst wrote: “Oh Rubes, I am so sorry. This is absolutely heartbreaking. Sending you all so much love.”

Ex-Towie’s Chloe Brockett posted: “Ruby, I’m sending you and your partner so much love. Hope you’re okay.”

Wayne Lineker commented: “Love you beyond, you beautiful soul. Thinking of you, all my love forever.”

The tragic loss comes not long after Ruby collapsed at home in front of her five-year-old son.

She revealed that she would’ve been dead if it wasn’t for his incredible bravery “hero” son – who saved her life by calling 999 as she lay unconscious.

Ruby decided to lie in bed as she started to feel lightheaded.

However, the mum collapsed after she got up to give her son JJ, five, a drink.

JJ was the only other person in the apartment but quickly and calmly dialled 999 to speak to an operator while his mum remained unconscious.

Paramedics have praised the five-year-olds composure and added that he stayed “chilled” and “very calm” over the phone.

With the help of the 999 operator, JJ managed to put his mum into the recovery position and monitored her breathing.

Ruby said: “There was a point where he couldn’t hear me breathing and he calmly told the operator: ‘I don’t know if mummy has died’.

“And then I took a breath again and he said: ‘Oh no, no! Mummy is alive! She’s alive! She’s alive!'”

Ruby lives with her two sons JJ and Leo, nine.

The model celebrated her engagement to her partner back in May.

She shared a photo of them kissing and wrote: “11.5.2024 – in my fiancé era, the easiest yes Iv ever said!!! My soulmate.”

How boy, 4, helped solve sick ‘Girl in the River’ murder of Caroline Clachan who was betrayed in sinister love triangle

CAROLINE Glachan was the schoolgirl who never came home – instead, her violently assaulted body was found face down in the river.

Her murder remained unsolved for almost 30 years and became one of Scotland’s most haunting cold cases.

Andrew Kelly and Donna Marie Brand also stood trial for the murder[/caption]

But 27 years on from her shocking death, three people stood accused of her murder in the Scottish High Court in Glasgow.

And with cameras allowed into the country’s courts, a gripping documentary – Murder Trial: Girl in the River – followed every twist and turn of the shocking revelations unfolding at the trial of the accused, Robert O’Brien, Andrew Kelly and Donna Marie Brand, as Caroline’s heartbroken family prayed for one last chance of justice.

And the evidence of a four-year-old boy who was present as Caroline met her grisly end would prove crucial.

It was August 25, 1996, when 14-year-old Caroline was brutally killed and dumped in the River Leven, Dumbartonshire.

The original police investigation was hampered by an unwillingness to cooperate with the police and only reopened in 2019.

Throughout that time, Caroline’s heartbroken mother, Margaret McKeich, kept fighting for the truth about who murdered her only child.

“Hope. Hope is the only thing that I have got, and I hope that I get some kind of justice for Caroline,” says Margaret.

“It’s going to be a hard trial, it’s going to be hard to hear and see things, but I’m going to be there because I feel, as Caroline’s mother, I’ve got to be there.

“I’ve waited long enough for it. I just thought that this was a day that would never come.”

As the jury discovered, Robert ‘Robbie’ O’Brien was 18 years old in 1996 and in a relationship with Caroline.

O’Brien was in a relationship with both Caroline and his co-accused, Donna Marie Brand[/caption]

It was something her family were not happy about, with Margaret saying she had questioned Robbie on his motives for being involved with a 14-year-old child.

But worse was to come. He was also seeing his co-accused, Donna Marie Brand, who was pregnant with his child.

Caroline’s mum Margaret told the court that the night she went missing she and her husband were going out to celebrate her 40th birthday and agreed for the daughter to have pal Joanne Menzies stay over.

But when the couple arrived home, only Joanne was in the house – and she said Caroline had gone out to the other side of town, where Robbie and his friends lived.

Frantic Margaret called around friends and then the police – and the next day detectives gave her the devastating news that they had found Caroline’s body.

The real-life courtroom drama shows distraught Margaret’s tearful reaction as the jurors are showed footage of police divers recovering her daughter’s body from the river.

Speaking to the filmmakers, Margaret says: “That plays a lot on my mind, what were her last moments? Guilt plays a lot on my mind.

“Where was I when she needed me? I’m her mother, but you can’t protect her all of the time. So the logic inside of me says that, but I should’ve been there.”

Kelly and O’Brien were babysitting a child who gave crucial evidence during the trial[/caption]

In court, the Crown suggested O’Brien and his friends lured Caroline to her death whilst they were babysitting four-year-old local boy ‘Archie’ on that fateful night.

The defence, meanwhile, argued that the friends never left the house and played no part in Caroline’s murder.

DCI Stuart Grainger was the SIO on the reopened case and said a lot of the witnesses at the time were reluctant to speak to police.

He said: “You don’t want to be seen as a ‘grass’. When you look at the people who were involved, maybe people were intimidated that if they spoke out that would bring trouble to them.

“I think the original inquiry faced those kinds of barriers, whereas we have come into it years later, times have changed, people have grown up, allegiances have changed.”

Guilt plays a lot on my mind. Where was I when she needed me? I’m her mother, but you can’t protect her all of the time. So the logic inside of me says that, but I should’ve been there

Margaret McKeich

In one shocking twist, a witness revealed that Caroline had told her she too was pregnant with Robbie’s child.

And she also claimed that Donna Brand was furious and told her she was going to ‘batter’ Caroline.

Several of the witnesses in the case had histories of heroin abuse from the time Caroline was murdered – leading the defence to question whether their recollections of events could be relied on.

And the fact that there were three defendants in the harrowing case meant the jury would have a tough time untangling the evidence.

Police felt the fact that Caroline thought she was pregnant, and that Robbie O’Brien believed he had got two girls pregnant at the same time, could have been a catalyst for murder.

But the forensic pathologist who examined Caroline’s body said that she was not pregnant – but had suffered extensive skull fractures and was still alive when she fell in the water, and therefore she drowned.

In another shocking development, Caroline’s best friend Joanne Menzies told the court that Robert O’Brien and Caroline’s relationship had been ‘quite violent’.

She said: “On numerous occasions, I stopped him attacking her. He would attack her, bully her. He would grab her neck and slam her into the wall.”

But O’Brien’s defence claimed another man called George Graham – who was now dead – had confessed to Caroline’s murder.

And again the three defendants banked on their alibi of being in a house together babysitting all night would put them in the clear.

But the prosecution had a vital eye witness – the four-year-old boy called Archie who they had been looking after.

Archie’s mum told the court that she would regularly use Andrew Kelly and his girlfriend Sarah Jane O’Neil, now dead, as babysitters for her children.

On the night Caroline went missing she had asked Kelly and O’Neill to babysit.

When she came home the next day her carpet was wet through and her son told her that they, along with O’Brien and Brand, had taken him down to the river.

Investigators worked tirelessly to retrieve evidence where Caroline’s body was found[/caption]

And Archie had told her this before she heard about a body being found in the river.

She said: “It was before because when I heard that, that is when I realised my wee’un had been telling me the truth.”

However, the defence questioned her on the timings of Archie’s revelation.

But the police interviewed four-year-old Archie at the time of Caroline’s death – and a chilling film of the interview was shown to the jury.

In the bombshell video the child told police that he, Caroline, Robbie, Andy, Sarah and Sarah-Jane were all at the river.

And he saw Robbie hitting Caroline with a metal pole and that metal went into her eyes – an injury that was later confirmed by pathology.

And Archie said he closed his eyes when Robbie pushed Caroline into the water.

But the defence revealed that two days before the video interview, Archie had been unable to identify someone called Robbie.

And in another interview, Robbie told officers that Andy had thrown boulders at Caroline. So the defence claimed that he was an unreliable witness.

But a neighbour to Archie’s family disputed the defendants’ claims that they didn’t leave the flat all night.

Linda said she was waiting for a film to start around midnight when she heard voices and saw Sarah-Jane bumping a buggy down the steps with Archie at the side of her, along with Andrew Kelly and another man and woman in front of them.

UK's most prolific killers

  • Harold Shipman – One of the most prolific serial killers in history, the GP is believed to have murdered at least 250 of his patients between 1975 and 1998.
  • Peter Sutcliffe (The Yorkshire Ripper) – Murdered 13 women and attempted to kill seven others across Yorkshire and Greater Manchester between 1975 and 1980.
  • Fred and Rose West – The married couple were responsible for the brutal torture and murder of at least 12 young women, including their own daughter, at their home in Gloucester.
  • Jack the Ripper – An unidentified serial killer who terrorized London’s Whitechapel district in 1888, murdering at least five women in gruesome fashion.
  • Dennis Nilsen – Lured and killed at least 15 men between 1978 and 1983 in London, keeping their bodies and dismembering them in his flat.
  • Ian Brady and Myra Hindley (The Moors Murderers) – Killed five children in the 1960s, torturing and burying them on Saddleworth Moor.
  • Beverley Allitt – A nurse who killed four children and attempted to murder nine others in a Lincolnshire hospital in the early 1990s.
  • Stephen Port (The Grindr Killer) – Drugged, raped, and murdered four men between 2014 and 2015 in London, luring them through online dating apps.
  • Levi Bellfield – A serial killer and sex offender convicted of murdering three women, including 13-year-old Milly Dowler in 2002. He is also linked to other violent attacks and suspected murders.
  • 10. Joanna Dennehy – One of the UK’s few female serial killers, Dennehy murdered three men in 2013 in what became known as the “Peterborough ditch murders.” She attacked two more men who survived.

She later heard a commotion and saw the same people coming back to the flat, with the women in distress and some arguing.

The defence argued that their recollection of events had varied from when they were originally interviewed 27 years previously.

All three of the accused could choose to go into the witness box and give evidence – but only Robert O’Brien chose to do so.

He admitted sleeping with 14-year-old Caroline, but denied seeing her at all the evening she went missing, leaving the babysitting house, being violent towards her or having any involvement in her death.

But in December 2023 O’Brien, Brand and Kelly were convicted of Caroline’s murder.

They were jailed for life. Robert O’Brien must serve at least 22 years in prison and Andrew Kelly will have to serve at least 18 years before they can apply for parole. Donna Marie Brand must serve at least 17 years.

Judge Lord Braid said O’Brien was the main perpetrator and used “extreme violence” on the teenager.

The judge said while Kelly played a lesser role, he was also involved in inflicting “murderous violence”.

Lord Braid accepted that Brand also played a lesser role in the murder as there was “no evidence” she participated in the assault.

But the judge said she must “bear the consequences” of O’Brien’s actions as she left Caroline lying face down in the water.

Outside court Caroline’s mum Margaret McKeich told reporters the verdict would not bring her daughter back but at least those responsible were behind bars.

She said: “For the past 25 years they have lived their lives and they have had their Christmases and birthdays and my Caroline was in the ground.

“This is a day we never thought we would see and now I think Caroline can rest in peace.”

Love Island winner accuses Joey Essex of BULLYING him as he hits back at ‘strange’ star

LOVE Island winner Josh Oyinsan has accused fellow islander Joey Essex of bullying him on the show and branded the situation “strange”.

Last summer the pair entered a bitter feud following a huge showdown which left viewers reeling.

This week Josh sat down on the 90s Baby Show to talk about his Love Island journey and accused fellow islander Joey, 34, of bullying him.

The host of the podcast first commented on the situation, and said: “Joey was testing you.

“You know there’s a time in school where someone is really trying to bully you.”

Josh replied: “Yeah, it was a bit strange.

“We would be just normal during the day and when the challenges come he just comes and I’m like bro you just asked what I wanted to eat for lunch and yeah just turn into something else.”

“We would have a little tussle or whatever in the challenges and afterwards we’d just start talking normally.”

“I got to a point where I was like you keep coming for me and I clocked I’m getting bullied here.”

During one challenge called Joey was labelled a game player by Josh.

The TOWIE star decided to make a comeback by casting suspicion on Josh’s relationship with Mimii Ngulube.

When he asked to vote for the couple most likely to turn their heads, Joey nominated Mimii and Josh, claiming to have insider information.

When Josh demanded to know why he voted for them, he said Mimii had sent him on a “secret mission” but refused to reveal any more details.

This led to a huge clash between Josh and Joey later on in the night.

The boys ended up rowing as Josh tried to find out what his partner had been up to.

Both men began to raise their voices as they flung accusations at each other.

Audiences at home were left annoyed that Joey decided to stir the pot.

In the end Joey was forced to apologise and die-hard viewers believe that he was ordered to by producers following Ofcom complaints.

Watch Porsche break ANOTHER world record as iconic Taycan GTS drifts for 10 miles on ice track in sub-zero Finland

WATCH the incredible moment a Porsche Taycan GTS sets a new Guinness World Record after drifting for 10 miles on an ice track at sub-zero temperatures.

Jens Richter, a Porsche Experience instructor, drifted in the German sports car for a whopping 46 minutes – making for the longest uninterrupted drift of an electric car on ice.

Porsche set a Guinness World Records title for the longest continuous vehicle drift on ice by an electric vehicle: At the wheel of a Taycan GTS, instructor Jens Richter managed to complete a total of 132 laps in controlled oversteer. In 46 minutes, he covered exactly 17.503 kilometers. With this new record, the electric sports car from Porsche has collected its fourth Guinness World Records title.

Mr Richter drifted for 17.5 kilometres, the equivalent of 10.8 miles, using only throttle and steering interventions.

The ice track, around 150 kilometres north of the Arctic Circle, was crafted especially for the run.

The event took place on January 14 and exceeded the previous Very Sideways On Ice Record of 14.8km by a Mercedes.

Mr Richter began the afternoon under “extreme” conditions as “the ice track deteriorated faster than expected”, he says.

This resulted in the abortion of the first attempt after “11 kilometres”.

For the second attempt, Mr Richter switched to smaller spikes, at just one millimetre on both axles of the Taycan.

Then he waited for darkness to fall along with the temperatures to drop.

He later completed 132 laps around the ice track, maintaining overseer for three quarters of an hour before the ice began to deteriorate again.

The Taycan was fitted with a GPS system to measure the exact G-force and distance travelled during the drift.
