People are racing to B&M for 10p cleaning bargain that every household has – one shopper cleared shelves of the steal

CLEANING your home might not be the most fun way to spend your time, but thanks to B&M it has never been cheaper.

One shopper shared the impressive bargain she picked up when restocking her cleaning caddy.

A Facebook user revealed the bargain she picked up from her local B&M[/caption]

Posting on the Facebook group Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK, one unnamed user revealed the budget-friendly buy she came across.

She explained that she discovered the cleaning item scanned for an extremely reduced price.

According to the Facebook user, a 24-pack of Flash Speed Mop Refills is available for just 10p.

She informed her fellow bargain hunters that the sale is currently taking place at her local B&M in South London.

As a result, the poster added 15 of boxes to her cart, amounting to a total of just £1.50.

Shoppers can save a whopping £7.40 by purchasing just one of these boxes.

A 24-pack of Flash Speed Mop Refills is available for £7.50 from Sainsbury’s.

The anti-bacterial wet cloths are designed to “trap and lock daily dirt, grease, and grime.”

They can be attached to a Flash Speed Mop to allow you to clean “without getting down on your knees.”

B&M’s deal is available with the lemon-scented version.

However, shoppers can only nab the deal in-store as it is not available on the app.

Facebook users shared their thoughts on the deal in the comments section.

“Hope you didn’t take them all,” wrote one commenter.

“I would have got that many too! With a puppy, I get through loads,” said another person.

“What a bargain,” commented a third impressed group member.

Why B&M is so good for bargains

SENIOR Digital Writer, Abby Wilson, who loves a shopping trip to B&M, has shared her thoughts on why the chain is the place to go for bargain buys...

WE all love B&M (especially me). It’s a one-stop-shop where you can nab all things from gardenware and homeware, to snacks and cleaning supplies.

Not only do we love the variety B&M offers (because after all, who can be bothered to go to five different shops anymore?!), but the prices are brilliant too.

If you’re on a budget, B&M is definitely worth vising – as it’s full of cheap bargain buys.

Not only will you find affordable items, but B&M is full of dupes too – so if you’re after beauty buys without the designer price tag, you’ll need to take a trip.

Similar to this, the chain are eager to get on trends – so if you see something in H&M Home but are on a budget and can’t justify the price, give it a few weeks and you’ll probably spot something similar on the shelves in your local B&M.

“I used to work at B&M. It will be the old stock that is now 10p,” explained a former employee.

“I bought some Saturday from the Thamesmead one at full price. Great bargain!” said another person.

“I got a few of these today too in Hull North Point shopping centre, really chuffed,” wrote one reader.

Another Facebook user said the mop refills were still scanning at full price at their local B&M.

“I was out of luck,” they explained.

We built our dream home for £48K after living in a van – we don’t want to waste our cash on rent & now have our own farm

A COUPLE spent £48k building their dream home – out of two 40ft shipping containers.

Lexi Newkirk, 24, and her husband, Diego, 25, wanted to escape the city and bought 12-and-a-half acres of land in Hill County, Texas, US – for £144,700 .

The pair have always loved unique homes and decided to make a tiny home out of shipping containers – costing £4,000 each.

Diego – who works in mould removal – has spent the last year constructing the containers into a 640 square foot home with one bedroom and a bath.

The pair now hope to have it completely finished by the beginning of March and will use the rest of their land to build a homestead.

Lexi, a owner of a digital marketing agency, said: “We love it.

“We’re living on 12-and-a-half acres and I love it.

“It’s like our own little city.

“It’s going to catch a lot of peoples’ attention.”

Lexi and Diego grew up in Austin, Texas, but wanted to move out and bought their land – which they named Livingstone Ranch – in October 2023.

Lexi said: “We grew up in the city and we wanted to escape it.”

The pair had originally wanted to turn their land into an “exotic tiny Airbnb ranch” by building 15 to 20 little unique homes but were not allowed to put in commercial property due to state laws.

Instead they decided to use one of their ideas to use and build their own shipping container home.

The single use containers were delivered after the couple had marked out their road and spot for their house in November 2023.

They built a foundation and basement before stacking the containers on top of each other.

Lexi said: “We did the plumbing, electricals, put a septic tank in.

“We had to run the electricity about 300ft.”

The couple has been living in a renovated RV – which they bought on Facebook Marketplace for £3,190 – while the complete the container home.

They have been making the home bit by bit to spread costs out and Diego has been doing most of the labour himself.

The pair have the dry wall to go on before they can then decorate and hope to get in for March 1, 2025.

Lexi said: “The living area and kitchen is all underneath.

“Then we have a bedroom, master bath and office.

“The bedroom wakes up to the sunrise and from the bath you can see the sunset.”

Lexi and Diego hope to then save up to make a barndominium – a barn conversion – and have purchased chickens and two cows to build their homestead dream.

Lexi said: “We didn’t want to put that money towards an apartment.

“Where my mum lives it’s a lot of homes right on top of each other.

“They are all the same.

“We want to give people inspiration for different projects you can do.”

70s music legend collapses mid gig and hits head on floor sparking fan concern

MUSIC legend Patti Smith collapsed on stage during a performance in Brazil.

The 78-year-old hit her head after falling inside the Teatro Cultura Artística, Sao Paulo, leaving gig-goers in shock.

Smith, who had complained of severe migraines prior to the incident, was removed from the stage in a wheelchair.

A statement from the theatre read: “She] felt dizzy on stage during today’s performance.

“She is being monitored by top doctors and staff.”

Despite the concern for her welfare, Smith returned to the stage to perform her hit Because the Night.

The theatre described it as “a very memorable moment for everyone present.”

Smith is due to return to the same venue tonight for another performance with Soundwalk Collective.

The venue said: “Patti says she is tremendously grateful for your patience and forgiveness and she sends her love to all who attended.”

Smith, from Chicago, is best known for her debut album Horses which was released in 1975.

She wrote the track Because the Night with legendary music star Bruce Springsteen and it reached number 13 on the Billboard Hot 100 charts in 1978.

Smith has been hailed for her punk poetry and her “street-savvy” music and was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2007.

Smith won a gong at the 1995 ASCAP Pop Music Awards for Horses and has been nominated for Grammy Awards on four separate occasions.

She won an accolade at the Grammy Hall of Fame in 2021 for Horses.

In January 2023, Smith ranked 117 in Rolling Stone’s list of the top 200 greatest singers of all time.

Smith is known for her career in punk rock but told NPR in 2016 that she used to “daydream” about being an opera singer when she was a child.

She said that her parents had nice voices but she didn’t think she had a “gift.”

Smith added: “But what I did have, I think, always was – I’ve always, for some reason, been comfortable talking in front of people or performing in front of people.

“And I guess I got a lot of guts, but I never really had that great a voice. I think it’s basically guts.”

Smith’s music has been an inspiration to famous artists such as Michael Stipe, who was part of the legendary band R.E.M.

Stipe told Rolling Stone in 2004 that he had decided to create a band after listening to Horses.

I’m begging strangers to pay for my boob job – at 24 I’m in my prime & need a big bust, I won’t wait till I’m old & grey

WHEN Lucy Doig, 24, welcomed her daughter in the autumn of 2019, she thought this might finally be the time her boobs would grow.

After battling with a flat chest since her teenage years, she knew that if her postpartum hormones didn’t deliver some cleavage, she’d have to consider a boob job.

I'm begging strangers to pay for my boob job - I need good jugs now I'm 24 and in my prime, I don't want to wait till I'm old and grey. - Lucy Doig

But with breast implant surgery costs around £3,500 to £8,000, according to the NHS, going under the knife has always been out of the mum-of-one’s budget.

That’s why she set up a GoFundMe page to accept donations from strangers towards her dream rack.

“I’ve always wanted a boob job,” Lucy, from Kent, tells Fabulous.

“When I was about 16-years-old, I remember thinking, ‘if my boobs don’t grow, I’m getting a boob job’.

“My mum always told me I’d be fine and that they’d get bigger, but when I got to about 20-years-old, I realised they’re not coming in.

“Then after I had my daughter, I realised they’re definitely not coming in.”

Lucy, who is currently out of work, set up the GoFundMe just over a week ago, with a target amount of £7,500.

She so far has received one donation of £10, but knows the remaining £7,490 will roll in soon enough.

“I didn’t want to come across as the type of person who was begging people, but then I actually just thought, ‘if I explain myself, then people will know I’m not being a beg’,” she says.

“If people still decide I am being one, that’s their opinion and they can stick it, because people are eventually going to donate.

“I love everything about being a woman, so the more feminine I can be, I want to be. It’s sad if you look in the mirror and don’t feel like a woman – it hurts.”

Lucy has “never even had lip filler”, so her breast augmentation surgery would be her first rodeo in the world of plastic surgery.

“Whilst I love myself to the core, I would like to be able to look in the mirror and see myself the way I want to,” she writes in the description of her fundraiser.

“I hope to be able to do this at a time when I’m still young and in my prime, rather than spend years of my life saving until I’m old and grey.”

When it comes to the actual procedure, she’s planning to just tell the surgeon: “Make me as big as you possibly can.”

I’m not striving for [boobs as big as] Katie Price!

Lucy Doig

That being said, the mum-of-one assured that she’s “not striving for Katie Price”.

She jokes: “But I’ve heard surgeries can get addictive, so you never know what’s going to happen.”

Lucy doesn’t know what her current bra size is, but says her dream cup would be a D.

In the UK, the average bra size is 36D and data shows that this has increased from 34B in the last couple of years.

In comparison to the rest of Europe, the UK has big mammary glands, with 57% of women having a D cup or larger.

Facts about breast enlargement

There are some circumstances where you might be able to get breast enlargement on the NHS – for example, if you have very uneven breasts or no breasts, a congenital defect, psychological distress or after major injury or illness.

There are two types of implants, made of silicone or saline and silicone are the most common in the UK.

Aurora Clinics UK estimates that 30,000 to 40,000 women receive breast implants each year.

Breast implants do not last a lifetime, some women may need further surgery after about 10 years.

“I’d be happy with a D cup but I know that’s not possible,” Lucy tells.

“Where I’m so skinny, I don’t think my skin will stretch over enough.

“I don’t wear bras at all – there’s no point. I’ve never even been measured.

“If you were to see me from the side, there is literally nothing there.”

And while Lucy’s barely-there boobs have been a source of insecurity throughout her life, she’s managed to use humour to come to terms with them.

“You can imagine the jokes in our house on pancake day,” she laughs.

The star also exclusively revealed what her husband Bradley thought about her doing the show.

“He thinks I’m crazy. I’ll ring him when I’m filming and be like ‘oh my God, you’ll never guess what I said today,'” Olivia told us.

“He genuinely thinks I’m on the wind up, and as soon as I get clips and edits from the rushes I’m like ‘I told you I saw this.’

“And he’s like ‘what?’ because he actually doesn’t normally believe me until he actually sees it, and when I say it out loud, some of the things sound insane.”

Olivia continued: “He’ll say to me ‘how are you just sitting there? I couldn’t watch that in person.’

In series three, Olivia embarks on even more surprising services – from Giantesses to ‘MILFS’ and ‘GILFS’ making erotic content.

She said: “I was arrogant thinking nothing can shock me anymore because I’ve seen so much, but I was completely wrong.

“I think that this is probably the most X rated series so far and I think it’s the most shocking.

“I think it’s going to create the most conversation out of all the series, and I was literally quite speechless some days.”

Fans in hysterics at Kasper Schmeichel’s ‘excellent use of the backstroke’ as Morgan Rogers scores hat-trick for Villa

CELTIC goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel went viral after the Champions League clash with Aston Villa following a hilarious stunt.

Villa punched their ticket straight into the Last 16 after beating the Hoops 4-2 at Villa Park on Wednesday, which led them to eighth place in the league phase.

That was thanks to Morgan Rogers‘ hat-trick, which he completed during stoppage time.

Dane Murray got careless at Celtic’s backline and was dispossessed by Ollie Watkins who burst into the visitors’ box.

That was when Schmeichel, 38, was called into action as he lunged towards Watkins.

The England international, though, managed to dribble past the ex-Leicester ace.

The Denmark international tried to follow up and came up with a very creative method.

The Celtic keeper actually started crawling on his back leaving fans in hysterics as it looked like he was doing the backstroke.

One fan tweeted: “Incredible use of the backstroke by Kasper Schmeichel here.”

Another wrote: “Nice move, definitely impressive.”

A third posted: “That’s mint.”

This fan said: “Can anyone clip Schmeichel doing the back stroke?”

And that one commented: “Kasper the backstroke pro.”

Schmeichel’s unorthodox method proved to be fruitless as Watkins set Villa team-mate Rogers up to score his third goal in the first minute of stoppage time.
