FREED British-Israeli hostage Emily Damari has an emotional phone call with Sir Keir Starmer.

The Prime Minister told the 28-year-old he was overjoyed by the “heartwarming” images of her reunion with mum Mandy nearly a fortnight ago, and invited her to visit 10 Downing Street after she recovers from her 15-month ordeal.

South East Londoner Emily was taken from her home in Israel on October 7, 2023, by Hamas gunmen who shot her in the hand and leg and killed her dog.

On the call, she claimed she was held for some time in a United Nations Facility, but denied access to medical treatment.

Despite losing two fingers and being left with a gunshot wound in her leg, all she was given was an out-of-date bottle of iodine.

Mandy said her daughter “seems to be doing pretty well psychologically” but is facing a long road to recovery physically.

Meanwhile, fears were growing last night for the fate of Israeli brothers Kfir and Ariel Bibas, aged two and five, after dad Yarden was named among three hostages to be freed by Hamas today — with no mention of the boys or their mum Shiri.

Relatives of the family have “mixed emotions”.

The Andytown Apache, 35, says it is about chasing the biggest purses possible at this stage of his career.

Super-featherweight king Cacace posted: “Today I have decided to vacate my IBF World Title.

“Becoming a World Champion was an absolute dream and an incredibly proud moment for me.

“However at this stage of my career I only want the biggest fights possible, regardless of the belt on the line.

“I’m a prize fighter and my aim now is to secure mine and family‘s future and to create a legacy for myself in boxing by being involved in massive fights that fans will remember.

“Look forward to announcing my next fight very soon. Watch this space.”

The Wood clash is expected to take place on May 31 in Nottingham.

Both men beat Leeds star Josh Warrington in their last outings – Wood in October 2023, and Cacace at Wembley back in September.

Cacace’s decision means Ireland no longer has a reigning world champion – with Katie Taylor still the undisputed women‘s world light-welterweight champ.
