Masked Singer shock as Kingfisher and Snail’s identities are revealed leaving judges stunned

TWO Masked Singer characters were exposed in tonight’s show.

First up was Kingfisher, who was revealed to be artist Sir Grayson Perry, 64.

Perry said he wanted to be “something cute” and that he’d had a “lovely time embracing the spirit of the show”.

His initials, GP, fooled the judges who thought it was a link to comedian Harry Hill’s former career as a doctor.

In reality, it was a lot more straightforward than that and Perry joked he’d done his best Hill impression.

Next up was Snail, who was none other than Andrea Corr, 50.

Pufferfish opened the show with an incredible take on Barbra Streisand’s Don’t Rain on my Parade.

Davina gushed, “Oh my God, they’re amazing,” before guessing they were a Broadway star.

Jonathan Ross said: “That’s what you call a great start to the show.”

He guessed actress Jodie Prenger was behind the character after one of the clues saw the fish holding a picture of another Coronation Street character, Gail Platt.

Next up was Kingfisher, who teased he was an early riser and ruffled feathers.

Standing on a starlit stage, he serenaded a giant fish with Frank Sinatra’s Somethin’ Stupid.

Both Davina and Jonathan were convinced they recognised the voice, with the latter guessing it’s artistic comedian Joe Lycett.

Davina, who debuted a dramatic new blonde hairdo, also went for the Brummie funnyman.

Mo stuck to his guns from previous shows and guessed Harry Hill.

The Bear with the big voice was the third act to perform.

He said “all the world’s a stage”, leading the panel to think he’s a professional performer.

The character teased he’s had success “home and away” and warned the audience to switch off their phones before the performance.

He had the crowd on their feet with Shaboozey’s country anthem A Bar Song (Tipsy) performed in a castle’s dining hall.

Mo gushed: “That was so good.”

He continued: “I know this person personally, the main clue was EG, that’s the initials of their first and surname.

“I think under there is my friend Example.”

Example’s real name is Elliot Gleave.

Maya was adamant too, picking up on a chicken clue that linked to a viral performance he did with Ed Sheeran.

Snail followed by teasing “I may leave a trail but I’m covering my tracks” before wafting herself with a fan emblazoned with the name “Jane”.

Before she’d even sung a note, viewers guessed it was Andre Corr, whose middle name is Jane.

Elegant as ever, she was led by the hand onto the stage and was surrounded by dancers as she sang Dua Lipa’s Dance The Night.

Once again, Mo was convinced he knew who it was, guessing cruise ship legend Jane McDonald, while Jonathan predicted Sugababes star Heidi Range.

Davina picked up on the use of “never ever” in the clue video and suggested All Saints’ Melanie Blatt.

Wolf was next, with clues including a picture of a pair of brown eyes and a close-up of an egg sandwich.

For his performance, he stood atop rocks and sang the Billie Eilish ballad Birds of a Feather, which Davina called “amazing”.

Davina guessed Wicked’s Jonathan Bailey after picking up on his words “esteemed company”; the performer once appeared in the musical Company.

Dressed Crab followed, talking from a dressing room beside a suit with an “Idris” tag on.

A ticket for the King and I was seen in a mannequin hand and he mentioned having bespoke clothing made for him.

He left jaws on the floor with his take on the classic California Dreamin’, which sounded very much like Greogry Porter, according to viewers and Mo.

Davina felt the clues fit Michael Kiwanuka, while Maya bizarrely opted for King Charles with little in the way of explanation.

Bush was the final character to perform, calling herself a “silly billy” for doubting herself.

There was no self doubt when she belted out classic A Night to Remember.

Mo guessed Stacey Solomon, while Davina said comedian Morgana Robinson.

It follows last week’s unmasking of Teeth, who was none other than Tv star Mel Giedroyc.

She went completely under the radar this series and was not once guessed by the panel after she repeatedly changed her voice.

The judging panel believed it was radio star Fearne Cotton, Rosie Ramsey, BBC sports presenter Alex Scott, or comedian Su Pollard during the ITV reality show, after she performed the Neighbours theme tune.

Mel said: “I’ll take Su Pollard! It’s so nice to see you guys. I love these teeth so much!

“I was very pleased with Alex Scott. Such a fun show, it’s impossible not to have fun on this show!”

She added that it was the “training and showbiz”, which allowed her to change her voice to make it more difficult for the judges.

But those watching at home were not impressed with the clues – particularly the fact she was pretending to be from Melbourne because her name is Mel.

Who has left The Masked Singer 2025 so far?

Much to the delight of telly fans, The Masked Singer is back in 2025.

Twelve celebrities have been hidden behind intricate costumes, with their identities concealed.

Sadly, not all of this year’s whacky and wonderful characters can make it to the end of the show, as there can only be one winner.

Here’s who has been unmasked so far:

Teeth – this character baffled judges and viewers with their changing voice. They were finally unmasked as former Bake Off host Mel Giedroyc. None of the panel managed to guess it was her

Tattoo – despite Davina McCall saying “you sound the same” after this character was unmasked, none of the judges guessed it was 80s singer Carol Decker, whose hit China In Your Hand was a No1 hit for five weeks

Toad In The Hole – a massive diva strop saw the character storm off the stage after the judges voted them off. They later returned to be unmasked as singer Macy Gray

Pegasus – the mythical horse was revealed to be Prue Leith, with judge Jonathan Ross correctly guessing her identity

Spag Bol – this character was first to be unmasked and was none other than Good Morning Britain host Kate Garraway.

Plus there was one extra unmasking this season, with Giant Joel – a caricature of host Joel Dommett – unveiled as double-double Olympic champion Sir Mo Farah.

‘This is madness’ cry RTE Ireland’s Fittest Family fans as families compete in ‘gruelling’ challenge for semi-final spot

RTE Ireland’s Fittest Family viewers said “this is madness” as each family competed in a “gruelling” challenge for a spot in the semi-final.

Coaches Sonia O’Sullivan, Anna Geary, Donncha O’Callaghan and Davy Fitzgerald were back for another episode of the popular fitness show.

Ireland’s Fittest Family returned to Hell & Back in Kilruddery, Co Wicklow for the quarter-final tonight.

And the four judges were in close competition with each other to bring their families through to the semi-finals.

In tonight’s episode, Donncha’s Flaherty family, Davy’s Cummins family, Anna’s Magner family, and Sonia’s Hogan family took on The Bog.

Each family first took on All Tyred Out which saw Davy’s Cummins come out on top while Anna’s Magners finished last.

The next challenge was the “gruelling” Bog Job where all four family members had to navigate the muddy bog leaving nobody behind.

Sonia’s Hogan family came out on top as they completed the task in 5 minutes and 43 seconds.

The Flaherty’s were next, completing the Bog Jog in 5 minutes and 44 seconds.

Although they placed third in the Bog Job, Davy’s Cummins family were straight through to the semi-finals, after finishing first in All Tyred Out.

Also straight through to the semi-finals was Donncha’s Flahertys, after placing second in both challenges.

The final spot in the semi-final was decided by tonight’s eliminator challenge titled Hell and Back.

The Hogans and the Magners went head-to-head but Anna’s Magner family came out on top in another nail-biting eliminator.

RTE viewers all raced to social media after the show to share their thoughts.

John said: “This is madness.”

Christina wrote: “I am absolutely delighted for the Flaherty’s.”

Another added: “This quarter-final race had us on the edge of our seats.”

Coach Donncha O’Callaghan was left “gutted” after his family missed out on a spot in the quarter-final last week.

For the last three weeks, the four judges have been in close competition with each other to bring their families through to the quarter-finals.

‘GUTTED’

Donncha’s McGuire family from Wicklow, Davy’s Ferns family from Clare, Anna’s Cooney family from Cork, and Sonia’s Dempsey family from Cork took on The Lake for the final heat last week.

Each family first took on the Fittest Family classic with a twist – The 2025 Raft Rage: The Rivals.

This was a race to get each family member to the other side of the bog bath by pulling the raft back and fort, with only two family members allowed on the raft at a time.

Sonia’s Dempsey family came out on top, while Anna’s Cooney’s finished last.

The next test was The Drop Zone, which saw one family member high above the lake on a seat, meaning they were frozen from the action until they drop into the water.

To get them into the water, the rest of the family had to fill a tank up to the orange line using different sized buckets.

When the water hit the orange line the person on the drop zone seat was plunged into the water and could then help the other family members fill the tank to the red line.

Once it hit the red line, the person who was on the drop zone seat had to swim to a rope and climb to the top of it before ringing the bell.

After all four families completed the challenge, there scores from both races were added up and Donncha’s McGuire’s were eliminated from the competition.
