In the show, Daisy plays Nic, a mum stuck in a depressing marriage grieving a loss she can’t share with anyone.

Selin Hizli plays Jen who arrives in Nic’s life as a kindred spirit and school mum, but both are concealing secrets.

Season 2 will begin where Series 1 ended and the synopsis asks the question: “Has Daisy May Cooper’s Nic actually got away with murder, and has she has raised her son Ollie in her own murky footsteps?

It continues: “Kicked out of the family home for brotherly love – loving the wrong brother – Nic is reduced to sharing a caravan with her not so trustworthy best friend Jen.

“Nic’s husband Dan has taken up roller-blading to channel his mid-life crisis.

“Shunned at the school gates and cast as the witch at the school re-enactment, Nic is experiencing hallucinations. Or is someone playing tricks on her?”

Daisy May is reunited with her co-star and co-creator Selin, as well as key cast members including Lenny Rush and Dustin Demri-Burns.

Speaking to The Sun TV Magazine, Daisy May reflected on how she looked in the previous series and said: “It was a bit mad as since we filmed the last series and this series.

“I’ve had my lips done and lost about ten stone so in those flashbacks, we were just killing ourselves laughing as we don’t even look the same people. But it was fun.”

Despite facing abuse when she revealed her slimmer figure in 2017, Daisy has continued to show off her remarkable weight loss this year.

She admitted that she opted for the keto diet which involves low carb, high fat meals.

Daisy told Grazia Magazine: “I’ve had some messages like, “Well, now you’ve lost the weight you’re not funny any more.” What the f***? Why do women have to be f***ing fat to be funny?”

“That makes me so angry. I champion anybody. I think everybody should be happy with their body. But I wasn’t.”

Charlie Cooper, Daisy May’s real life brother, is also set to make an appearance in the new series of Am I Being Unreasonable?

Best BBC comedies

We look back at some of the best to ever grace the screen.

Fawlty Towers (1975-1979) – Only two series were made of the beloved institution. However, the cultural impact of the series starring John Cleese and Connie Booth spans decades. It follows rude and intolerant Basil Fawlty (Cleese) as he attempts to improve the reputation of his hotel.

Only Fools and Horses (1981-2003) – The show was crowned by some as the best British sitcom of all time by a TV poll in 2004. Seven series were broadcast on BBC until 1991 with additional sporadic Christmas specials airing until 2003. Sir David Jason starred as ambitious market trader Derek “Del Boy” Trotter whilst Nicholas Lyndhurst played his younger half-brother Rodney. Set in working-class Peckham in south-east London, it follows the highs and lows of the lives of the Trotters’, in particular their brazen attempts to get rich.

Blackadder (1983 – 1989) – Four series were made of the iconic show, created by Richard Curtis and Rowan Atkinson. Each series spans a different historical period as anti-hero Edmund Blackadder (Atkinson) tries to better himself in each society. Accompanied by his dogsbody Baldrick (Tony Robinson), trouble always ensues. A TV poll in 2004 found that Blackadder was voted the second-best British sitcom of all time

Absolutely Fabulous (1992 – 2012) – Jennifer Saunders and Joanna Lumley star as failing PR guru Edina ‘Eddie’ Monsoon and alcoholic fashionista Patsy Stone. The pair embark on heavy-drinking sessions and abuse drugs in a desperate attempt to stay ‘hip’. Eddie constantly chases bizarre fads and fails to lose weight whilst her disappointed and neglected daughter Saffy (Julia Sawalha) looks on.

Little Britain (2003 – 2006) – The premise is simple. A sketch show which features different British people from all walks of life that are engaged in all sorts of comical scenarios. Starring Matt Lucas and David Walliams, the pair created iconic pop culture characters. Viewers loved obnoxious council estate teenager Vicky Pollard, morbidly obese scrounger Bubbles Devere, slimming coach Marjorie Dawes, despondent office worker Carol Beer, disgraced politician Sir Norman Fry, of course the iconic Lou and Andy!

The Catherine Tate Show (2004-2015) – A sketch show starring the likes of Catherine Tate. She made iconic characters such as rowdy schoolgirl Lauren Cooper with her line ‘Am I bovvered?’. Other characters featured Bernie the nurse, the aga saga woman, complaining couple Janice and Ray, and of course her infamous ‘Nan’, Joannie Taylor. The last character herself spawned multiple specials and even a movie.

Gavin and Stacey (2007 – Present) The series tells the story of Gavin (Matthew Horne) and Stacey (Joanna Page). The pair embarked on an online and telephone romance for six months. But when they finally decide to be together properly, their friends and family get in the way. Ruth Jones and James Corden created the beloved show, which has been going for over a decade. The 2019 Christmas special was the most-watched comedy in 17 years and the most-viewed non-sporting event in a decade.

His role is still under wraps but did Daisy May force him to take part in the show?

“The funny thing is we share the same agent – and the same mum – so you can’t exactly say no!

“I had to put him in a mullet. The funny thing is, actually, he kept dropping the accent – he’s not very good at a Dutch accent.”

She explained how because of that, she had to rewrite the script for him and make it out that he wasn’t really Dutch.

She elaborated with a laugh: “So we had to try to write that in later on, that he’s not really f***ing Dutch, just because he’s bad at the accent!”

When asked if it was a laugh having her brother on set Daisy May joked: “I don’t know. I’m doing him a favour I think, I’m more successful.

“No, it was fine. How is he? Have you seen him?

“No, he was amazing! I mean, he’s always f***ing funny, you can see him in those Argos adverts as that f***ing dinosaur – they’ve really f***ng strung that out, haven’t they?

Driver critically injured at Chicago airport after plane’s wing smashes into tug and flips vehicle

AN AIRPORT driver has been critically injured after a plane’s wing smashed into his tug and flipped it over at Chicago O’Hare airport.

The 64-year-old was crushed under his vehicle when it was thrown over by the enormous wing of an Air Wisconsin jet – in America’s third aircraft accident in four days.

The plane had landed moments earlier and was taxiing to the gate when it clattered into the cart on Saturday evening.

The man was pinned between the tug and the tarmac, and suffered serious injuries to his head and lower body.

After being freed he was rushed to Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in a critical condition but has since been stabilised, according to police.

The crash happened at around 7:35pm when flight 6181 was crossing the runway to approach the arrivals gate.

The Bombardier CRJ-200 had just arrived in from Kalamazoo International Airport, Michigan.

All passengers were evacuated off the plane after the collision and transported to the terminal by bus.

Nobody onboard the plane was harmed.

The identity of the injured driver has not been released.

Detectives and the Federal Aviation Administration are still working to figure out how the serious blunder could have happened.

Officials said the crash didn’t have a significant impact on other flights to or from the airport.

The plane was being operated by Air Wisconsin on behalf of American Airlines, who have released a statement.

In the wake of the embarrassing mistake, the airline said: “Nothing is more important than the safety of our customers and team members, and we are reviewing this incident.”

The injured tug driver work for United Airlines, and his employer said: “We are ensuring he receives any necessary support and care.”

This is the third airport incident to hit America in four days

All 67 people onboard an American Airlines plane and a US Army helicopter died when the two aircraft crashed midair and plunged in to the Potomac River on Wednesday evening.

There were 64 passengers on the CRJ700 air plane and three crew members on the Black Hawk chopper.

The remains of at least 42 people have been recovered from the water and the recovery mission continues.

Then, on Friday, a medical jet crashed into a busy Philadelphia street, killing all six on board and one person on the ground.

A six-year-old girl travelling back from life-saving treatment and her mom were among the plane’s passengers.

The crash left debris and burnt out vehicles strewn across up to six different blocks.

Drew looks to have another superstar on his hands now in the shape of Walk In The Park gelding Final Demand.

The £200,000 purchase bolted up by 15 lengths in a Limerick maiden hurdle over Christmas.

But he took his form into another stratosphere with a massive 12-length rout of rivals in the Grade 1 Nathaniel Lacy Hurdle on day one of the Dublin Racing Festival.

Despite being a late drifter in the market to 11-8, Final Demand skirted the inside running rail the whole way round.

And when Paul Townend pressed go he showed he possesses a massive engine to fly home ahead of Gordon Elliott’s Wingmen in second.

Mullins was blown away afterwards and said: “A huge performance, absolutely huge.

“For Final Demand to be able to do that in his second run over hurdles was huge.

“What he did from the last home sets him apart form a lot of other horses.”

Bookies were impressed too, but faced a scramble on their hands with what to do about his odds.

Final Demand is entered in the Supreme, Turner’s Novices’ Hurdle and the Albert Bartlett, over 2m, 2m5f and 3m respectively.

Clearly there are lots of options on the table and the layers cut him for the middle option at first.

Betfair slashed him to 9-4 fav from 6-1, while in their non-runner money back market William Hill cut him to 5-2 fav from 5-1 for the Albert Bartlett.

Punters might have a tricky time deciding where he goes, even after Mullins hinted he would stay at his current trip.

The Closutton boss is infamous for chopping and changing horse’s plans in an instant – and he invariably gets it right.

William Hill spokesperson, Lee Phelps, said: “Following an impressive victory in the opening Grade One at the Dublin Racing Festival, Final Demand is the new favourite for the Albert Bartlett Novices’ Hurdle at the Cheltenham Festival, he’s 5/2 from 5/1 in our Non Runner Money Back market.

“Similarly, he’s been cut for the Turners Novices’ Hurdle, shortening into 3/1 second favourite from 6/1.”

Wolves in line for shock windfall on £35m flop with Atletico Madrid ready to complete transfer

WOLVES hope for a shock windfall on striker Fabio Silva — with Atletico Madrid keen on making a deal.

The forward, capped by Portugal in November, was sent to Las Palmas on loan with the aim of reviving his career in La Liga.

Now Atletico have taken a shine to Silva and are looking into signing him permanently, either now or over the summer.

Wanderers paid £35million to buy Silva as a teenager and may finally have the chance of a payday for the 22-year-old after years of underachieving at Molineux.

The Molineux faithful are currently on cloud nine thanks to Matheus Cunha‘s new deal.

The Brazilian striker was on the radar of several clubs, including Arsenal.

But the 25-year-old has opted to commit his future to Wolves with a bumper new deal, which he marked by scoring in Saturday’s Black Country derby with Aston Villa.

He said: “I feel so good here, with the love the fans give to me and my family.

“I always go to the pitch and try to give back. Of course, there was a lot of noise around what Matheus would do.

“I feel happy. I used my heart to make this decision, more than anything. It was my passion.

“I love being here.

“Everyone wants something more for their career, but I feel this is the moment to keep fighting and show everyone what we have, and what love I want to give back.”

Wolves fans will be hoping for more good news in the form of additional reinforcements before the transfer window closes on Monday.

Emmanuel Agbadou is currently the club’s sole winter signing, much to the frustration of manager Vitor Pereira.

He said: “Our priority is the same, midfielder and centre-back.

“The club is working on it. The club knows we need to increase the level.”
