Love Island star devastated as he’s turned DOWN by ITV for All Stars
LOVE Island star Deji Adeniyi has revealed he was turned down by bosses to appear in this year’s All Stars series.
Deji appeared in the eighth series of the ITV2 reality show and had been hoping to make a comeback as a bombshell.
In a video to fans, the former accounts manager admitted that he was hoping to “save” current slander Catherine Agbaje.
But Deji has revealed he was snubbed by show bosses.
In a TikTok video, the star filmed himself pretending to march around his apartment while arguing on the phone with someone.
Wearing a muscle vest and tracksuit bottoms, he paces around frantically while wagging his finger at the person on the other end.
The clip finishes with Deji pretending to throw his phone on his bathroom floor before storming off.
Deji captioned the video: “ITV: ‘We’re not sending you in to ‘save Catherine’.”
Fans are gutted to see Deji’s confession, as they think he’d make a great match for Catherine, who so far is yet to close off a romance.
One told him: “Dejiiiiii you would’ve been PERFECT.”
Another asked: “Deji, why are you not on your way rn?”
A third said: “You best take her for a date when she’s out. Holding you accountable!”
And someone else chimed in: “Yeasss save her!”
Deji found fame in the 2022 series of Love Island.
He made his entrance during Casa Amor and originally made a play for Indiya Polack.
When that didn’t work, he turned his attention to Lacey Edwards and they hit it off.
However, the couple were dumped after being branded ‘the least compatible’ and split shortly after leaving the show amid cheating rumours.
It was alleged that Deji had slept with fellow islander Coco Lodge behind Lacey’s back.
A source exclusively told The Sun that Deji and Lacey never went on a date on the outside, with his night with Coco being the “last straw” for Lacey.
The source said: “Everyone could tell it was awkward between them at the Reunion after Lacey delivered some home truths. Now they’ve called it quits and are no longer seeing each other.”
Catherine, meanwhile, has only just found a potential love interest in the All Stars villa despite arriving in the villa at the beginning of January.
The public originally paired her up with Nas Majeed but they soon called it quits, with Catherine accusing him of ‘not putting in the effort’.

Ron was coupled up with latest bombshell Danielle Sellers but decided to walk after “growing tired” of forcing connections.
A source told The Sun: “Ron was the centre of attention on his series, with multiple girls vying for his attention and with Lana always there for him to return to.
“It was a bit of a rude awakening for him this time round as he just couldn’t find a single spark.”

Kiss ruined happiest day of my life, Spain World Cup star Jenni Hermoso tells Luis Rubiales as sex assault trial begins
SPAIN’s World Cup winner Jenni Hermoso has told a court that former football chief Luis Rubiales’ forced kiss “stained one of the happiest days of my life.”
Hermoso, 34, was the first witness to appear at a court in Madrid as Rubiales’ sexual assault trial began on Monday.
Rubiales, 47, is accused of sexual assault and coercion over the kiss he planted on Hermoso at the 2023 Women’s World Cup final in Sydney, where Spain defeated England.
The former Spanish FA boss, who initially refused to resign and dismissed the controversy as a “witch hunt by fake feminism,” faces up to two and a half years in prison if convicted.
Rubiales has repeatedly denied any wrongdoing, insisting the kiss was a “peck between friends celebrating.”
Taking the stand at Madrid’s Audiencia Nacional court, Hermoso described how Rubiales grabbed her head and kissed her without consent.
“I didn’t hear or understand anything,” she told the court.
“The next thing he did was to grab me by the ears and kiss me on the mouth.
“I felt it was totally out of place and I then realised my boss was kissing me, and this shouldn’t happen in any social or work setting.
“A kiss on the lips is only given when I decide so.”
She added: “As a woman I felt disrespected. It was a moment that stained one of the happiest days of my life.”
Hermoso said the pressure campaign left her fearful for her safety, forcing her to leave Madrid.
“From the first moment I reached Spain I had cameras after me 24 hours, people following me, people taking photos while I was having breakfast with my family. I had to leave Madrid with my family,” she said.
“I felt fear at times of being in the street. I received death threats and messages of all types and we had to leave Madrid because the situation was unbearable.
“It was a change in my life and I still say my life changed from that minute.”
‘A statement I hadn’t written’
The court also heard that just hours after the kiss, Rubiales and his aides allegedly pressured Hermoso to declare it was consensual to contain the growing backlash.
She was called off the team bus at Sydney’s stadium and shown a statement she was expected to sign.
Hermoso recalled breaking down in tears as pressure mounted on her to publicly downplay the incident.
The Spanish footballer told the court: “I skim-read it and said and knew I hadn’t written a word of it.
“It was a statement I had supposedly drafted myself and consented to being put out to fan the flames of the fuss that was being created by the kiss.
“The statement said Luis Rubiales and I were good friends and the kiss happened in the effusiveness of the moment. I said I didn’t agree to it going out.”
On the flight back to Spain, Rubiales allegedly approached Hermoso personally, pleading with her to back him publicly.
“He told me, ‘Please, my two daughters are in the back of the plane crying,’” she said, adding that she refused.
Ex-national team coach Jorge Vilda — one of Rubiales’ co-defendants — then allegedly approached Hermoso’s brother, warning him that her football career could suffer if she did not comply.
“I felt totally unprotected in what should have been a safe place for me,” Hermoso said.
“No one asked me if I needed anything. The only thing Rubiales and his aides did was try to protect their reputation.”
Spain’s #MeToo moment
The scandal overshadowed Spain’s first-ever Women’s World Cup triumph and became a tipping point for sexism in Spanish sport.
The hashtag #SeAcabó (It’s Over) flooded social media, with Hermoso and 80 other players going on strike until federation leadership changed.
FIFA suspended Rubiales, who eventually resigned in September 2023.
The incident also sparked national soul-searching over sexual misconduct in Spain.
The country had only recently toughened its sexual assault laws following the notorious ‘La Manada’ (Wolf Pack) gang rape case in 2016.
‘A peck between friends’
Rubiales continues to deny wrongdoing, insisting the kiss was a “peck between friends” and his downfall was driven by “fake feminism”.
His daughters, two of whom were on the team’s flight home, will testify in his defense next Monday.
Former coach Jorge Vilda, ex-federation sporting director Albert Luque, and marketing director Rubén Rivera also face coercion charges and potential 18-month sentences.
The trial is set to run until February 19, with high-profile witnesses, including Ballon d’Or winner Alexia Putellas and Spain manager Luis de la Fuente, expected to testify.
Rubiales, if convicted, could receive a suspended sentence as first-time offenders in Spain rarely serve time for prison terms under two years.
Prosecutors are also seeking €100,000 (£83,000) in damages for Hermoso.
A verdict is expected by the end of the month at the earliest.
Cowboy Carter Tour 2025: everything we know about Beyoncé’s big announcement including UK tours
Beyoncé has confirmed the locations for her forthcoming Cowboy Carter tour.
The 43-year-old Crazy in Love superstar will take her show to Los Angeles, Chicago, New York, Houston, Atlanta, Washington D.C and Las Vegas.
Where is Beyoncé playing?
The singer’s only non-US shows confirmed so far are in London and Paris. She will give four performances at London’s Tottenham Stadium, where she will go head-to-head with Oasis on their highly anticipated tour in the summer.
Beyoncé announced the tour – which ties in to her most recent album Cowboy Carter – with a pair of Instagram posts on Sunday. One image featured a neon sign showing the album’s name while a second post included a new portrait of the singer with bleached hair and eyebrows, captioned simply “Cowboy Carter Tour 2025”.
What can we expect from this tour?
The first dates are pencilled in for April – with rehearsals slated to take place in Glendale, LA.
A source told The Sun: “After a number of delays finally it’s all systems go for Beyoncé.
“She will kick off rehearsals for her US & UK tour in Glendale, Los Angeles after delaying the announcement as a mark of respect for the victims of the fires.
“She will undergo three weeks of gruelling rehearsals before kicking off the trek at the end of April in the US.”
Grammys wins
The announcement comes after the Grammy awards, where Cowboy Carter was crowned Album of the Year. Beyoncé’s win marks her first in the coveted category, after being nominated three times before for I Am… Sasha Fierce, Lemonade, and Renaissance.
The former Destiny’s Child superstar is now the most-awarded artist in Grammys history with 35 awards.

Collecting the album of the year award at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, Beyonce, who was joined on stage by her daughter Blue Ivy, above, also praised the firefighters for “keeping us safe” during the Los Angeles wildfires.
She said: “I just feel very full and very honoured.
“It’s been many, many years and I want to thank the Grammys, every songwriter, every collaborator, every producer, all of the hard work,” she said.
“I want to dedicate this to Ms (Linda) Martell, and I hope we just keep pushing forward, opening doors. God bless y’all. Thank you so much.”
US singer Martell, a groundbreaking country performer who became the first Black woman to play at the historic Grand Ole Opry venue, features on Cowboy Carter tracks “Spaghettii” and “The Linda Martell Show”.
How to get tickets
While the global tour has been confirmed, individual dates have yet to be announced. Ticket prices are also being kept under wraps.
This won’t be the first time Beyoncé has played the Spurs stadium. She previously brought her Renaissance World tour, pictured below, there in 2023 for five thrilling nights in the capital.
At nearly three hours, it featured 34 songs, elaborate choreography, dramatic costumes, pyrotechnics and lasers. Famous faces including Ariana Grande, Dua Lipa, Kelly Rowland and Paul McCartney were spotted partying in the audience.

THE most popular car across Europe isn’t a Ford or a Volkswagen – it’s a Dacia.
The £14,000 Sandero supermini sold more than 250,000 copies in 2024, miles ahead of the Golf and Renault Clio in second and third.
According to recently revealed stats, Dacia sold 268,101 units of the Sandero – making it Europe’s best-selling vehicle across all channels.
It also makes it the best-selling vehicle in the European retail market since 2017.
That means it even outsold the Tesla Model Y.
1. Dacia Sandero – 268,101
The supermini has been on sale in the UK since 2008, with the third-gen model, released in 2020, and especially the 2022 refresh, becoming a hot favourite with motorists.
When Sandero is renewed in 2027 it will come in two power types – petrol and electric.
Its popularity is likely down to a number of factors, not least its low price that makes it a budget alternative to more expensive small hatchbacks like the Volkswagen Polo.
Indeed, the Sandero is the UK’s cheapest new car.
But despite its price, it’s remarkably spacious inside making it great for families.
It also features a comfortable driving position, good fuel economy, and basic but functional gadgets.
2. Renault Clio – 216,317
As well as being eye-catching, this small French car has a frugal powertrain line-up with an E-tech hybrid option and a 1.0-litre petrol.
It is likely to remain just as popular in 2025 as it was in 2024, some experts say.
3. Volkswagen Golf – 215,715
It would seem the Volkswagen Golf is sliding down the ranks of Europe’s favourite cars with each year.
But the ever-reliable all-rounder received a facelift in celebration of its 50th anniversary which also enhanced performance.
4. Tesla Model Y – 209,214
The winning family SUV offers plenty of storage with the latest technology, sports car performance and a panoramic roof.
The Tesla Model Y has been built by Elon Musk‘s electric vehicle manufacturing company in the US, China, and Germany since 2020.
It was revealed that one Tesla Model Y owner was living in her car full-time – and using a hidden feature in the EV to keep warm.
Another Tesla Model Y driver, who took the £45,000 car on a 435-mile road trip, said he found the car’s navigation and supercharging network were “extremely reliable”.
5. VW T-Roc – 202,840
Always a sought-after car in Europe, the Volkswagen T-Roc was especially so in 2024, and came fifth in the list of best-sellers.
Drivers have said its interior quality has been improved significantly, addressing one of their previous few criticisms.
Very good year for Dacia
2024 was generally a very good year for Dacia as a brand as it became the continent’s biggest seller to retail customers overall.
In total, Dacia sold 676,340 cars last year, which was an increase of nearly 3 per cent on 2023.
They also account for close to 4 per cent of all passenger car sales across Europe.
Dacia is not just about selling low-price hatchbacks though, as Sun Motors’ supremo Rob Gill discovered.
The Romanian marque is currently competing in the world famous Dakar Rally – a punishing 3,200-mile speed test across the breathtaking dunes of Saudi Arabia.
Or, as Rob puts it, the equivalent of the entire WRC season in 13 days.

RTE pundits warn Limerick GAA star ‘could land himself in hot water’ for incident ‘you don’t like to see in any game’
LIMERICK star Seamus Flanagan “could be in hot water” for an off the ball incident in their draw against Cork.
The Treaty County were pegged back by the Rebels in a blockbuster Division 1A hurling league clash at SuperValu Pairc Ui Chaoimh on Saturday.
In fan footage captured during the game, Flanagan appeared to strike Cork defender Niall O’Leary with his hurl.
The incident was not captured by the TG4 cameras while the Feohanagh-Castlemahon man avoided punishment.
However, the fan footage circulated on social media, with Jackie Tyrrell and Joe Canning discussing it on The Sunday Game.
Galway legend Canning labelled it as something “you don’t like to see in any game”.
He said: “It shouldn’t be condoned in any game no matter who are.
“Now, there was an awful lot of stuff going on off the ball last night. There seemed to be wrestling going on every second.
“It’s very hard for referees to see everything that’s going. Stuff like that, you can’t condone that sort of stuff.
“It’s not good to see, but there’s loads of stuff that we don’t see that goes on that shouldn’t happen as well.”
Former Kilkenny defender Jackie Tyrrell echoed these sentiments and warned that Flanagan could be in hot water.
The four-time All Star said: “There’s no room in our game for that kind of carry-on.
“And unfortunately, me and Joe don’t want to be sitting up here highlighting that stuff.
“Seamus Flanagan is a very talented hurler, but he can’t be doing that on the field.
“What the umpires are doing, how they missed it, I don’t know, because it looks to be within their remits of what they should be doing.
“But look, he needs to be very, very careful and he could land himself in hot water.”
Saturday’s game was a rematch of the 2024 All-Ireland hurling semi-final which Limerick lost.
However, manager John Kiely insisted revenge was not on their minds on the day.
He said: “Everyone’s just very focused on the game that’s coming up, the performance, getting it right.
“If you’re thinking about what happened last year or the last day, your mind is in the wrong place.
“I think everybody was very focused on maximising their opportunity.
“You had a lot of players that were getting their opportunity – there were a lot of changes from the last time we met – so it was a good chance for lads to get game-time under their belts and they didn’t do too badly at all.”
