Mike posted a photograph of himself and his co-host Elvis standing in what appears to be a garage beside a classic car.

He captioned the image: “BIG NEWS! We’re hitting the road again!

“@f1elvis and I are bringing the Wheeler Dealers World Tour back to you, and we can’t wait to experience your incredible cars and culture along the way. See you soon!”

Fans were quick to respond to the welcoming news with one stating: “Excellent news! Come to Cyprus please!”

“Hey @mikebrewer .. if you guys ever go through France, it me up” said another.

A third exclaimed: “Awesome, cannot wait for this to air!”

“Woohoo!!!! Awesome news fellas!! The Brewer suite has soft towels and Yorkshire tea waiting x” said another fan of the show.

Another said: ” Come to Brazil and discover our Classic cars.”

While one fan said: “Very cool! I hope one day to meet you mike! Greatings from the netherlands!”

There were also calls for the pair to visit other parts of the world with car enthusiasts hoping to meet the pair.

In the popular show, car dealer Mike along with mechanic Marc ‘Elvis’ find and restore iconic cars to sell for a profit.

But last year Mike issued an urgent warning after revealing he was scammed.

He took to YouTube to explain details of what happened and how he was conned after selling a motor over the phone.

The petrolhead said a buyer used fake information to fraudulently buy a car from him.

Car Auctions: How To Nab A Bargain

Car auctions are a way to sell vehicles based on a bidding system with the highest offer securing the deal.

Auctions aren’t restricted to the rich and famous as thousands of cars are sold at motor auctions in the UK each week.

Here’s what you need to know before attending an auction:

  1. Be prepared: Do your research on the car you would like to purchase beforehand.
  2. Check the car: Cars will usually be lined up before the start, so make sure to arrive early to inspect the desired car thoroughly.
  3. Have a back-up: Be ready for disappointment as your desired motor may be sold to someone else and select a few back-ups.
  4. Be realistic: Realise that there won’t be a “perfect” car at an auction and adjust expectations accordingly.
  5. Set a budget: It is easy to overspend in the heat of the moment during bidding. Ensure you have set a budget and do not go over it.

Key phrases to look out for:

  • ‘No major mechanical faults’ – suggests that there shouldn’t be any issues with the car’s drivetrain, gearbox, suspension, or engine.
  • ‘Specified faults’ – the auctioneer will read out specific faults.
  • ‘Sold as seen’ – the vehicle is sold with any problems it may have. The auction company will rarely entertain complaints regarding the mechanical or cosmetic condition of these vehicles after sale.
  • ‘Sold with a warranted mileage’ – The car is being offered based on the report, which confirms the mileage through an independent check.

He told his followers: “We think we’ve been scammed not only once but possibly twice.

“Once by a customer who scammed somebody with their ID to buy a car but the second time quite possibly by the car provider.”

Mike explained how his One Automotive group had advertised a white VW Golf Mk7 GTD for just over £10,000.

An interested driver rang up and promptly offer to buy it and arranged a collection service to pick up the vehicle at Mike’s Leamington Spa base.

Mike admitted that before letting the vehicle go they ran various checks on the buyer’s personal information to process the sale.

Everything appeared to be legitimate and the courier then arrived to pick up the vehicle.

But later, Mike was contacted by his bank who revealed the person charged for the vehicle had disputed the sale.

He explained: “He’s been scammed by somebody who has stolen his ID and stolen his card details and used that to buy a car from me and James at One Automotive.”

Mike finished by offering a warning to anyone selling their car.
He said: “If you’re going to sell a car make sure the customer is there in person with ID and with a drivers’ license.

“Check the address, check where they live, and check everything.”

‘Katie Price’s BBL doctor nearly KILLED me’ – Self-styled celeb ‘beauty consultant’ charging women £2k for ops exposed

A MUM has told how she allegedly nearly died after undergoing a Brazilian butt lift from a self-styled celebrity “beauty consultant”.

Ricky Sawyer specialises in liquid BBLs, charging £2,000 for the dangerous procedure – with clients including Katie Price.

A BBC investigation has spoken to more than 30 women who claim to have been left with serious complications, including sepsis and necrosis (tissue death).

BBLs involve injecting dermal filler into buttocks to lift them and make them appear bigger.

It comes after Brit mum Alice Webb died in October last year following a botched procedure at a clinic in Gloucester.

One of Sawyer’s patients, mum-of-two Joanne, from south Wales, spotted an advert on Instagram promising an “hour-glass figure” and booked an appointment.

She travelled seven hours to his Essex clinic for the treatment, persuaded by his celebrity endorsements in the hopes of achieving a “peachy bum”.

However, as soon as she arrived she began having second thoughts, the BBC reports.

The postcode she was given led her into an industrial estate before she found a small door into a block of flats.

“I should have turned and ran,” she told BBC programme Botched: The Brazilian Butt Lift Nightmare.

She had already paid a £600 deposit before counting out the rest of the £2,000 in cash as she waited to begin the procedure.

Joanne was injected with a litre (1.8 pints) of filler and the pain was unbearable.

She said: “I felt dizzy, sick and like shaky. My legs didn’t even move properly. And that was all within a minute of him starting.

“I remember looking round and he had white gloves on that were full of blood.”

She added that by the end she was in “so much pain” and her bum was “completely disfigured”.

Joanne says she messaged Sawyer multiple times in the aftermath and he advised her to take antibiotics.

However, just days later she was blue lighted – “dripping with sweat and screaming” – to hospital with her temperature soaring.

Sepsis was spreading so quickly, initially doctors thought they would need to cut out a large section of her bum.

Joanne claims after messaging Sawyer to say she was in hospital, he blocked her on Instagram.

Thousands of rocket parts dumped in space at growing risk of ‘catastrophic’ collision with planes, experts warn

SPACE debris raining down on Earth is increasingly at risk of causing “catastrophic” collisions with aircraft, a damning new report has revealed.

A sharp rise in the number of rocket launches has fuelled uncontrolled reentries of space debris – chunks of metal and machinery.

Controlled reentries of space debris are carefully monitored by space companies and agencies, with a landing destination in mind – usually the ocean.

But uncontrolled landings, where experts are unsure of where space debris will land, are becoming more common.

There are more than 2300 rocket bodies currently swinging round in Earth’s orbit, which will eventually fall back down to Earth, the report published in Nature warned.

“Uncontrolled reentries of space objects create a collision risk with aircraft in flight,” experts from the University of British Columbia, Canada wrote.

“While the probability of a strike is low, the consequences could be catastrophic.”

The risk of an aircraft being affected by uncontrolled space debris reaches as high as 26% in areas of busy airspace, the report cautioned.

These include parts of the northeastern United States, northern Europe, or around major cities in the Asia-Pacific region.

The collision risk for any space debris reentry increases with air traffic density, the report continued.

Experts warned that airspace authorities like the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) will increasingly have to consider the risk of falling space debris, as Earth enters a new space-faring era.

The FAA was forced to create a Debris Response Area and slow aircraft near SpaceX’s Starbase facility in Texas, after its Starship rocket exploded during a test launch on 16 January.

A number of aircraft were kept grounded where space debris was actively falling.

While flights over the Gulf of Mexico were made to alter course to avoid the falling wreckage.

Leftovers from the 400ft rocket body were seen spraying across the sky, with debris mostly falling in the Atlantic, near the Turks and Caicos islands.

Rocket parts and disused satellites are designed to burn up during their reentry into Earth’s atmosphere, or plunge into the oceans.

But there were reports of Starship debris being found on land in the area.

Too many close calls

By Millie Turner, Senior Technology & Science Reporter

At the current rate, it’s only a matter of time before we have our first casualty from man-made space objects.

No one has yet died from falling space debris, though there have been plenty of instances of infrastructure damage and even injuries.

In 2002, six-year-old boy Wu Jie became the first person to be directly injured by falling space junk, after 20 metal rocket chunks showered on his village in China.

Fast forward to January 2025, and we have a 500kg metal ring falling on a village in Kenya.

The choppy irregularity of space launches pre-SpaceX meant Nasa could afford to rely on the chance of expended metal falling into the ocean or in an uninhabited area – if it hadn’t already burnt up.

But that won’t work for much longer.

In 2022, four airspaces in Europe were closed, and 11 monitored, when a 20tonne Long March 5B rocket body fell back down to Earth.

It was predicted to reenter Earth’s atmosphere over southern Europe, but eventually reentered over the Pacific Ocean.

The report said the location “was a result of chance rather than design”.

It added: “The rocket body was abandoned in orbit and left to return to Earth in an uncontrollable manner.”

Although warnings have been issued previously, it was the first time airspace had been fully closed due to space junk hurtling towards Earth.

Nearly 650 flights were delayed as a result, which experts say could cost the airline industry a lot of money if repeated.

A half-tonne metal ring crash landed on a village in Kenya in late December, still glowing red and hot from its fiery descent.

In April last year, an object thought to be from the massive EP-9 equipment pallet jettisoned from the ISS crashed two floors into a Florida man’s home.

Homeowner Alejandro Otero claimed the cylindrical object nearly hit his son, and later sued Nasa for more than $80,000 in compensation.

Then in June, Nasa admitted that a separate hunk of space debris that fell on a walking trail in North Carolina belonged to a SpaceX capsule.

While there have been no civilian fatalities from falling space debris, experts have suggested this could soon change with the growing number of commercial space launches.

“This is a real serious danger,” former Nasa administrator Sean O’Keefe told The Sun in an interview last year.

“The frequency in which we’ve seen [space] debris crash in Australia and Siberia over the years – fortunately, it’s places that are either not populated or are very remote.

“We’re not gonna get lucky like that every time.”

What is space debris?

Space debris is an umbrella term for any bit of junk, disused equipment and otherwise, that is currently stuck in Earth's orbit.

And it has spiralled into a big problem since the dawn of the space age in the 1950s.

There are nearly 30,000 objects bigger than a softball hurtling a few hundred miles above Earth, ten times faster than a bullet.

It poses huge risks to satellites and the International Space Station (ISS), where crew occasionally have to maneuver out of the way of objects hurtling towards them.

In 2016, a fleck of paint managed to chip a window in the ISS because it was moving at such high speeds in Earth’s orbit.

The problem is, it’s not just a space issue – but Earth’s too.

Objects in space undergo a process called orbital decay, which means they orbit closer to Earth as time goes on.

Debris left in orbits below 600km normally fall back to Earth within several years.

While most space debris burns up on reentry to Earth’s atmosphere – there are some bits that don’t.

This is particularly the case with larger objects, like the EP-9 pallet.

A report by US watchdog, the Federal Aviation Authority, published last year warned that space debris that survived the fiery reentry could kill or injure someone on Earth every two years by 2035.

Bianca Censori backlash over her sheer dress is ridiculous and misogynistic – I wonder if all the criticism is jealousy?

WHEN Bianca Censori dropped her fur coat to reveal a completely see-through mesh dress at the Grammy Awards on Sunday night, she sparked a global barrage of abuse.

Many onlookers claimed to be horrified by the flesh-flashing display and the model was swiftly kicked out of the A-list event – along with her proud husband Kanye West.

Proud Kanye posted pictures of himself and Bianca on X[/caption]

But others are hailing Bianca, 30, as a feminist icon for daring to bare all.

Here, outspoken campaigner Patsy Stevenson passionately defends Bianca’s right to wear what she wants.

Patsy hit the headlines when she was pinned to the ground during a clash with cops at a vigil for Sarah Everard in 2021 – but was later awarded damages by the Met police who faced criticism for their heavy-handed approach.

PATSY SAYS: I wish people would stop criticising women for their outfit choices.

This is a glamorous red carpet event and Bianca Censori looks absolutely gorgeous.

The backlash against her is ridiculous.

Bianca has a fantastic figure and should be allowed to wear whatever the hell she wants.

None of us should ever have the right to comment on any woman’s clothes or body.

I think that Bianca looks great but this outcry has become a judgement on her character too.

I expect she had gone through a thousand different outfits before deciding on this one, because she wanted to look her best on the red carpet.

And if she feels happy and comfortable in this one, then what an applaudable level of confidence she is showing.

I wonder if one reason for all the criticism is jealousy?

Because it is interesting to me how Bianca is being singled out for this criticism even though there were plenty of other women at the same event who also had a lot of flesh on display.

Paris Hilton also wore a sheer dress, and J-Lo’s dress was plunging at the back and front, yet they’re not facing anything like the same level of criticism.

The attitude of both men and women seems to be – how dare a woman wear such revealing outfits?

It is a form of misogyny when men think they can decide what a woman should and should not wear – but there is also a lack of women sticking up for other women here.

It is 100 per cent unfair.

And it feels to me like there is also some snobbery at play here because Bianca Censori is not considered an artist in the same way as someone like Lady Gaga who is allowed to wear all kinds of outrageous outfits and they are considered art?

The level of respect for so-called artists is higher.

Models don’t garner the same level of respect, which is a horrible stigma when of course they can be just as creative.

They often get a lot of backlash and are hounded for what they wear when in fact they have simply been put in an outfit by a designer.

But the human body can be a creative piece of art in itself, and the outfit becomes part of that expression.

There are long standing systemic issues in our society of people critiquing every aspect of women’s bodies – if a woman has large breasts and is showing cleavage that often becomes an issue that people want to comment on.

Large breasts are seen as more controversial somehow than small ones.

People tend not to comment as much on flatter chests.

Bianca Censori and Kanye West's relationship

Bianca Censori was born on January 5, 1995, in Melbourne, Australia

Before her current full-time job, the 30-year-old started a jewellery company called Nylons after leaving high school.

After working as a student architect for three years, she completed a master’s degree between 2019 and 2020 ahead of moving to Los Angeles.

In a radio interview, a childhood friend of Bianca’s claimed that Kanye slid into her DMs on Instagram, reportedly saying: “Come and work for me.”

The designer then moved to LA to join his company, Yeezy, as “head of architecture” – and has stayed in this role since November 2020.

WEDDING BELLS

In October 2023, The Daily Mail reported Kanye and Bianca wed on December 20, 2022.

The couple tied the knot under a “confidential marriage license” in the state of California.

The two wed in Palo Alto, California, according to the document.

The wedding came just one month after Kanye and Kim Kardashian finalized their divorce.

But distinguishing between breast sizes at all is absolutely ridiculous – they’re just body parts so it really is silly that people should be so obsessed with them like this.

It’s just as silly as policing every aspect of an outfit.

Why does it matter? Your outfit does not affect your decision making.

Bianca and Kanye have been together a long time and she has worn other outfits like this in the past, this is not a new thing for her.

If this is something that Bianca has chosen to wear, then great.

If it turns out that she had not made a conscious decision to wear this outfit then people have a right to be concerned.

But we’re basing that assumption off history.

We know that Kanye has a history of controlling behaviour, his ex wife Kim said on Keeping Up With The Kardashians that he would comment on her outfits, and it’s a conversation that needs to be had if Bianca is uncomfortable – but we do not know that.

It is a form of misogyny when men think they can decide what a woman should and should not wear[/caption]

If there is a level of coercive control then I hope she seeks help, but that has not been confirmed or denied by either of them.

I hope she has made this decision for herself, and that she feels happy and comfortable.

None of us know what went on behind the scenes.

But if the intention was to cause a stir then it’s Bianca – one and the critics – nil.

Bianca Censori’s naked red carpet stunt is all part of Kanye’s ‘weird, twisted game’... he parades her like a blow-up doll

By Polly Hudson

BIANCA Censori is an intelligent woman.

She has both a bachelor’s and master’s degrees in architecture, and was once a respected member of her profession.

Enter Kanye West.

Now she is reduced to being paraded around like some kind of blow up sex doll, risking being charged with indecent exposure.

What’s most concerning is that Bianca’s outfits have become increasingly risqué and revealing over time, exposing more and more of her body.

Surely being entirely naked is the climax of this warped performance piece, so where will Kanye go from here?

How will he top it for next time?

Demand that Bianca have some of her internal organs removed, and then make her display them on the red carpet, dripping with blood?

Although there were obviously more attention-grabbing aspects of her look on the Grammy’s red carpet last night, it was the expression on her face that was the most chilling.

Of course no-one really knows what the dynamic is between this couple, but all signs seem to point to Bianca being exploited, objectified, and coerced.

As she stood there, fully nude in front of the world, gasps of shock and bursts of laughter clearly audible from all around her, it felt like witnessing abuse – humiliation on a global stage.

The kind of situation where years from now, no-one will be able to understand why this was allowed to happen.

The cold disdain Kanye looked at her with, as she tried so desperately to please him, was extremely disturbing – especially as a lip reader has since revealed he told her to “drop her coat” and “make a scene”, suggesting rather than a pre-arranged stunt he ordered her to do it on the spot, and she instantly complied.

It worked for Britney – can somebody please start a Free Bianca movement?

Her family are said to be worried – duh – but they’re on the other side of the world, in Australia, and this is a grown woman of 30. It’s not like they can order her to come home and ground her when she gets there.

Kanye has tonnes of previous when it comes to controlling the outfits of the women he’s involved.

His ex-wife Kim Kardashian revealed on an episode of Keeping Up With The Kardashians that he told her she had “the worst style” when they started dating.

“Our whole trade-off was that if I got rid of my clothes, he’d fill up my closet. But now I’m freaking out. Like, I could literally cry,” she said.

He masterminded every aspect of her appearance, flying all the way to Paris for 24 hours in 2018 so he could re-style her after seeing paparazzi photos of her in an outfit he didn’t like.

Even after they broke up, he didn’t stop.

Distraught Kim explained on her reality show that when she started dressing herself post split, Kanye called her and told her that her career was over after seeing one of the looks she put together on her own.

Kim has stopped discussing her erratic ex, because they share four children.

But the woman he dated for two months after they broke up, Julia Fox, has written about him in her book Down The Drain, and pulls no punches.

She details how she felt like “a prop” and a “show monkey” being used for “a publicity stunt”, which certainly sounds familiar.

She also wrote that it felt like a ‘weird, twisted game’ that left her feeling ‘used’ and ‘dirty’.

Julia now says, “I regret that relationship so much. I hate it! It was only a few weeks but enough to last me a lifetime. I was in probably the most uncomfortable position in my life and that’s saying a lot.”

Last January Kanye attended a Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremony and was directly asked  by a reporter, “if Bianca has her free will. Some people are saying that you’re controlling her.”

West snatched the journalist’s phone, ranting “Why do you feel like it’s okay? I’m a human being… Ask me about my wife, talking about if she’s got free will? Are you crazy? Are you insane?… I’m a legend, do you understand that?… Was that a dumbass, disrespectful question to come ask a grown-ass superhero?”

And what does the woman at the centre of this storm think? How does she respond to allegations that she is being manipulated and dominated?

Hard to say.

I have never heard Bianca Censori say a single word. Have you?

Sadly in this case, it’s hard not to conclude that her silence speaks volumes.

Doctors Warn Your Dental Habits Could Be Increasing Your Stroke Risk—What to Know

Heart-healthy living includes getting regular exercise, managing stress, limiting alcohol and red meat, practicing good sleep hygiene, and controlling blood pressure and cholesterol levels. But one practice that’s equally as important yet often overlooked is dental care. New research suggests that certain oral hygiene habits can boost your cardiovascular health, specifically when it comes to stroke risk.

RELATED: This Common Sleep Habit Could Raise Heart Attack and Stroke Risk by 26%, New Study Finds.

Research found that oral hygiene can impact your cardiovascular health.

Much research has been conducted on oral hygiene and cardiovascular health.

Colgate explains it well: "As the Cleveland Clinic reports, research has shown that, if the oral bacteria responsible for gum disease find a way into the bloodstream, they may cause C-reactive protein levels to rise. This elevation can indicate inflammation in the blood vessels and, ultimately, signal an increase in that person's risk of stroke and heart disease."

A new preliminary study presented at the American Stroke Association’s International Stroke Conference indicates that adults can lower their risk of stroke with good oral hygiene. As for which habit (flossing, brushing, or visiting the dentist) has a more significant impact on cardiovascular health, the study’s author analyzed the oral hygiene behaviors of more than 6,000 adults.

"A recent global health report revealed that oral diseases—such as untreated tooth decay and gum disease—affected 3.5 billion people in 2022, making them the most widespread health conditions," said study lead author Souvik Sen, MD, in a press release. "We aimed to determine which oral hygiene behavior—dental flossing, brushing or regular dentist visits—has the greatest impact on stroke prevention."

Daily flossing was linked to lower risks of stroke and irregular heartbeat.

Not flossing can contribute to built-up bacteria and inflammation in and around the gums, increasing your stroke risk, per the study’s findings.

An at-home oral hygiene assessment found that 4,092 of the participants had no stroke prevalence, and 4,050 had no history of AFib (an irregular heartbeat). The common denominator? They all regularly flossed.

Participants were monitored over the course of 25 years, during which time flossing was linked with a 22 percent lower risk of ischemic stroke (when blood flow is cut off to the brain), 44 percent lower risk of cardioembolic stroke (when a blood clot forms in the heart), and 12 percent lower risk of AFib.

"Oral health behaviors are linked to inflammation and artery hardening. Flossing may reduce stroke risk by lowering oral infections and inflammation and encouraging other healthy habits," explained Sen. "Many people have expressed that dental care is costly. Flossing is a healthy habit that is easy to adopt, affordable and accessible everywhere."

However, a 2016 CDC survey found that over one-third of Americans never floss.

"When you're brushing, you're only getting certain surfaces of the tooth," Dee Dee Meevasin, DMD, owner of Dee for Dentist, previously shared with Best Life. "Flossing gets into those crevices where a brush cannot reach—under the gums and between the teeth—to mechanically remove bacteria."

RELATED: 6 Side Effects of Grinding Your Teeth at Night, Dentists Say.

The takeaway:

Routine flossing not only boosts dental health (preventing cavities and gum disease), but your cardiovascular health, too.

Looking towards the future, American Heart Association EPI and Stroke Council member Daniel T. Lackland, DrPH, said he would like to see researchers dive into the correlation between specific dental health practices and other risk factors, including diet, physical activity, nicotine consumption, sleep, blood pressure, body mass, and more. Lackland was not involved in the study.

‘He’s absolutely FUMING’ say Love Island fans as they spot secret feud in the villa – did you see it?

LOVE Island fans are convinced there is a secret feud between Omar Nyame Curtis Pritchard after last night’s heart rate challenge.

Omar, 26, has hit it off with Catherine Agbaje in the All Stars villa and received a special dance from her during the racy task.

Curtis Heart Rate challenge was the most hotly-anticipated, with the All Stars and viewers being sent into a frenzy.

Recreating his most iconic Love Island moment, Curtis channelled his inner King Julien from Madagascar after his 2019 Heart Rate challenge performance.

Curtis raised all of the girls heart rates the most apart from two.

But it was Omar’s reaction when it was revealed that Catherine’s heart rate had been raised the most by Curtis.

Some fans were quick to point out Omar’s fuming expression and were quick to speculate there was more to it.

One said: “No wonder Curtis was the one that raised her heart rate the most, babe was scared for her life. Meanwhile Omar was secretly fuming.”

A second commented: “Omar’s FACE when it was announced that Catherine’s heart rate was raised by Curtis? Note that Catherine also SLAPPED Curtis’s hands onto her bum.”

A third added: “Omar looked pretty p***** off that Catherine’s heart rate was raised the most by Curtis. Maybe they don’t get on.”

The Love Island heart rate challenge is a firm favourite among fans and sees the Islanders put on a sexy show to get their co-stars hot under the collar.

Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu transformed into a cheeky devil and recreated her iconic crawl across the terrace from series eight in 2022.

She made her way towards bombshell Sammy Root – who is currently coupled up with Elma Pazar – and moved in for a snog after giving him a lap dance.

It no doubt felt like deja-vu for Elma, after Ekin-Su previously took Ronnie Vint on a date while they were coupled up.

Ekin-Su then threw Curtis on the floor and the pair proceeded to get raunchy in front of the other Islanders.

‘Ralph made it to Netflix’ – Peter O’Mahony’s wife Jessica reveals son’s adorable reaction to being in Six Nations doc

PETER O’MAHONY’S wife Jessica joked “Ralph has made it to Netflix” after posting a video of her son reacting to his cameo in the Six Nations documentary.

The second season of the doc focused on the 2024 Championship, which Ireland won for back-to-back titles.

Peter O’Mahony captained Ireland to that honour, having succeeded Johnny Sexton as skipper following his retirement after the Rugby World Cup.

The Netflix doc showed a number of clips of Ireland players and fans celebrating, including O’Mahony and his young son Ralph.

Jessica shared a precious video of Ralph watching his celebrations with his dad, commenting: “Ralph made it to Netflix”.

Ireland began the defence of their Six Nations title in style with a 27-22 win over England at the Aviva Stadium.

O’Mahony started the game on the bench, with Caelan Doris filling in as captain.

Simon Easterby – who is filling in as interim head coach during Andy Farrell‘s secondment with the Lions – will be hoping to build on that result when they face Scotland.

They are in danger of being without Mack Hansen and Finlay Bealham, both of whom picked up injuries against Steve Borthwick‘s men.

Yet even before learning of those fitness doubts, Easterby warned that Ireland will have to improve on their performance against their neighbours.

He said: “It was tough and physical and what you expect from an Ireland-England game.

“The first half, it was the first round of the Six Nations…it’s always going to be a bit of an arm wrestle so we had to find a way.

“I thought we played well in the first half, we didn’t quite get our accuracy right which is why they were leading.

“But we cleaned it up in the second half. The guys coming off the bench benefited from the work done by the guys who started, it was a tough attritional game.

“We know we need to be better next weekend. It sets us up for next week but it will be incredibly tough.”

It was a sentiment echoed by Jamison Gibson-Park, who was man of the match at the weekend and who believes Scotland are capable of causing an upset.

The Tartan Army have not beaten Ireland since 2017 when they inflicted defeat on the side then-coached by Joe Schmidt.

The scrum-half said: “That’s the case for a lot of teams now. We’ve kind of been near enough to the top of the rankings for a while.

“I know myself that if I’m coming up against a quality side you want to put your best performance out there. Next week will be no different.”

Scotland view themselves as potential champions and the Leinster star agreed: “One hundred per cent. They’re a classy side.

“They’re playing good footie and they’re stacked full of really good individuals, so it will be a tough challenge. I know it’s been a long time since they won but there’s no reason they can’t.

“But what a place to go and what an opportunity for us to go there and have a crack at them.”
