Upon returning from honeymoon, they live together, during which time they meet at commitment ceremonies and choose whether or not they will continue their relationship.
It’s ninth season finished at the end of last year and much to viewers delight the show was full of the usual drama, tears and laughter.
Another fan favourite, Love is Blind UK hosted by Matt Willis and Emma Willis premiered on Netflix last year as a three-week event.
Singles fed up with the dating landscape got engaged without setting eyes on each other, before moving in together and planning their wedding.
Fans were hooked on finding out if the emotional bond they formed in the pods were strong enough to prove love, in the modern world, could still be blind?
On 21 August 2024, it was announced that the UK version was renewed for a second season although its return to our screens is still under wraps.
However, a brand new reality show is also on the horizon and bosses want the public to apply!
The new addition will be produced by CPL Productions Ltd, the BAFTA Award winning production company behind both dating shows.
They ask the question: “Do you want to the play the worlds biggest exciting game of Hide and Seek in order to win £100k?”
The show is described as a new psychological competitive adventure series.
It will involve players tracking down and hunting their rivals in an ultimate game of cat and mouse in the wild.
But please note they will only be accepting applicants who are aged 18 and over and the closing date for applications is 31st May 2025.
Meanwhile, Married At First Sight star Adam Nightingale and Amy Kenyon have continued to fuel romance rumours during a luxury cruise together.
In recent months, the pair hinted that they were more than just friends after growing close after the show.
They headed off on a no expense spared cruise – just weeks after Adam told The Sun that he has chemistry with Amy.
Adam, who tied the knot with Polly Sellman on the E4 show, looked smitten as he holidayed alongside Amy.
They have been documenting their travels – with clips of them boarding a Virgin Voyage cruise ship and enjoying some fine dining.
But the pair have insisted that they are “just friends”, despite the affectionate display.
Amy cleared up any confusion, writing on Instagram: “Just because I’ve been asked this 400 times. We are friends.
“We’d have no reason to deny if we were in a relationship. Sorry to disappoint you.”

Belfast boxing card cancelled as John Cooney remains in intensive care after Celtic super-featherweight title bout
PROMOTERS have cancelled a scheduled boxing card that was set to take place in Belfast this weekend.
The ‘Beginning 2.0’ fight card was cancelled after Galway fighter John Cooney sustained a severe brain injury during the first defence of his Celtic super-featherweight boxing title last Saturday.
The ‘Beginning 2.0’ fight card was cancelled in a mark of respect to the injured fighter[/caption]Cooney is fighting for his life in intensive care after doctors discovered a brain injury after his latest fight.
And now in a mark of respect, and after conversations with the British Boxing Board of Control, promoters have called off their scheduled card that was set for Saturday night.
Jay Byrne and Shane O’Leary released a statement on social media on Tuesday as they confirmed the cancellation of the card before sending their prayers and well wishes to Cooney and his family.
It read: “Following conversations with BBBofC this morning. The Beginning 2.0,” scheduled for this Saturday in Belfast, has been cancelled.
“John Cooney, who participated in a professional boxing event in Belfast last Saturday, is fighting for his life in I.C.U, and it does not sit right with anyone involved to continue with this week’s promotion.
“At times like these, life is far more important than anything else.
“All tickets will be refunded in full, and we apologise for any inconvenience caused to people.
“At this time, please keep John and his family in your prayers.
Yours sincerely,
Jay Byrne & Shane O’Leary.”
Cooney was beaten by Welshman Nathan Howells at Belfast’s Ulster Hall with a stoppage in the ninth round.
But after being treated by medics at the fight, he was quickly stretchered to the Royal Victoria Hospital for further tests.
And it was there that doctors discovered Cooney had suffered a bleed on his brain.
He was immediately rushed into surgery for an operation.
And Cooney is now in intensive care, with his uncle Christopher claiming the star is “fighting for his life.”
A further statement from his management team at MDH Promotions read: “Following John Cooney’s epic title fight at the Ulster Hall on Saturday evening.
“John was assessed by the onsite medical team of the British Boxing Board of Control and swiftly taken to Belfast’s Royal Victoria Hospital for further treatment.
“On arrival at the RVH it was discovered that John had an intracranial haemorrhage and underwent immediate surgery to relieve the pressure on his brain.
“John is currently in the intensive care unit and in the hospital’s capable hands of the ICU team.
“John’s fiancée Emaleen and his parents Hughie & Tina would like to thank everyone for their private messages of support, and would ask that they keep John in their thoughts and prayers at this time as he faces his toughest battle.”

Google Maps U-turns on ‘dumb’ change that’s left drivers frustrated – update app now to fix it
GOOGLE has U-turned on a “awful” layout change that made it hard to see where users were driving on Maps.
Android smartphones can connect a car’s infotainment system screen to display useful apps like Google Maps to get around.
Google is currently rolling out the update to devices, 9to5Google reported, but not all drivers have it yet[/caption] Users were not happy with the on-screen shake-up[/caption]But after a recent update, the map and blue location arrow was centred to the display, and not to the app as a whole.
Fortunately, this didn’t happen when using turn-by-turn navigation after a destination had been plugged in.
However, Google appears to have rowed back the change just days later.
Following the update, a driver’s location will be centred to match the app rather than the display.
While it’s a minor visual tweak, it certainly helps people using Maps on smaller displays.
Screenshots and comments on Reddit showed that the smaller your screen, the worse the view was.
“I absolutely despise that box,” one user wrote.
“Even when you click the map to view the map larger, it’s the same goddamn size [because] that black box is in the freaking way. I hate it [with] a passion.”
Another added: “It’s awful unless you have a 12″ display.”
Some users even threatened to switch to rival maps app Waze as a result.
Google is currently rolling out the update to devices, 9to5Google reported, but not all drivers have it yet.
However, complaints remain about how big the search box – even after Google’s newest update.
Users say the box is unnecessarily large, and while it minimises in one tap, users add that it rarely offers helpful destination suggestions.
“There are many, many complaints about it and I have heard extremely few defenses of it as desirable — none that I can recall,” said another Reddit user.
“99% of the time that I’m getting in my car I do not even need active navigation, and of that other 1%, the chances that it has correctly determined the destination in its suggestions is smaller still.”
A fourth person added: “Install Waze. Problem solved.”
To see whether you can install the updated version of Google Maps on your Android phone, follow these steps:
- Open the Google Play Store app.
- At the top right, tap the profile icon.
- Tap Manage apps and device.
- Here you can see ‘Updates available’, and tap See details.
- You won’t see anything unless there is an update available.
- Next to the app that you want to update, tap Update.
- To update all your apps at the same time, tap Update all.
