Family ‘concerned for wellbeing’ of missing man, 27, last seen 11 days ago as Gardai plea for public assistance

GARDAI have issued an urgent plea for the public’s help in a bid to find a missing man – who hasn’t been seen for nearly two weeks.

Luke Price was reported missing from his home in Mountkennet, Limerick City on January 14.

The 27-year-old was last seen at approximately 9pm on Tuesday evening, January 14.

The man has been described as approximately 6ft in height with a slim build.

And Luke has auburn hair and blue eyes.

He was last seen wearing a black coat, blue jeans and black boots.

Cops said that his family are “concerned for his well-being”.

They are appealing to anyone with information on Luke’s whereabouts to contact them.

A garda spokesperson said: “Anyone with information on Luke’s whereabouts is asked to contact Henry Street Garda Station on 061 212 400, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111, or any Garda station.”

Separately, Gardai has issued an urgent appeal in the search of Hanni Binti Hanif, who hasn’t contacted her family since last year.

The 25-year-old was reported missing in Cork City last Sunday – and her family are “concerned for wellbeing”.

Gardai are seeking the public’s help in locating the 25-year-old who was last in contact with her family in Malaysia in December 2024.

Her family have not heard from her since then and there has been no other forms of communication made by Hanni.

This has left her family deeply “concerned for her wellbeing”, and prompted Gardai to launch an investigation into her whereabouts.

Originally from Malaysia, Hanni is described as being around 5 feet 4 inches tall, with a medium build, black hair and brown eyes.

She is a student at Griffith College Cork, and her last known address is in Cork city.

And authorities are hoping someone in the public may have information that could help track her down.

URGENT INFO PLEA

Gardai are now asking anyone who has seen Hanni or knows where she may be to get in touch with Anglesea Street Garda Station in Cork city.

Alternatively, the Garda Confidential Line is also available – and individuals can contact any Garda station with relevant information.

Along with the appeal made by cops, the Malaysian Embassy in Dublin has issued an alert for the missing woman.

In a statement, the Embassy of Malaysia in Dublin said: “The Embassy of Malaysia in Dublin seeks the cooperation of Malaysians in Ireland who are acquainted with Miss Hanni Binti Hanif, whose last known address is in County Cork and who was previously a student at Griffith College Cork.

“Kindly contact the Embassy of Malaysia in Dublin at +353 (01) 6677280 or the Duty Officer at +353 (85) 1600096. Embassy of Malaysia, Dublin, Ireland.”

I found terrifying ‘are you thick’ note & deflated tyre after morning dog walk at popular park… I could have died

A DOG walker said her life was ‘put in danger’ after a stranger left a nasty note on her car and let down her tyre.

The woman had been visiting Baggeridge Country Park, Dudley when her motor was targeted on a residential street.

Rude note left on a car: "Are you f***ing thick?"
BPM
The driver was shocked to find an abusive note on her car windscreen[/caption]

“Are you f****** thick?” was scrawled in large capital letters on a napkin and her tire had been let down.

She’s parked her car on a street near the popular beauty spot for a brisk walk on the morning of Christmas Eve 2024.

Left shaken up by the incident, she told Birmingham Live: “I was shocked to find the note left on my windscreen and worst still, to find my tyre let down.

“It was really upsetting to think some had let my tyre down and deliberately tried to endanger my life and cause me to have an accident in the process. My wing mirror was pushed in too.

“This was also criminal damage. I know other people park on Fir Street to use Baggeridge too.”

Fir Street is a residential road within walking distance from the park.

It is not known if the woman had parked in an obstructive way, but according to the Highway Code, all road users are technically entitled to park outside houses.

The Highway Code, paragraph 207, asks that people DO NOT park their vehicle where it might cause an obstruction to other pedestrians or road users, and cites the example of not parking in front of another person’s driveway.

In essence, while there are certain rules and regulations under the Highway Code relating to parking on public highways, mostly it’s a matter of common decency and courtesy.

This comes after a couple who live in a van have discovered a way to avoid parking fines.

Ric and Keira discovered a “loophole in the system” when it comes to parking in supermarket car parks.

In a video on their YouTube channel, Touring With The Kids, the couple summarised the method and showed how seamless it has made their living.

Dad Ric described how frustrating it can be to try and use supermarket car parks as many typically have time restrictions.

But by downloading and quickly signing up to a popular app, the pair have managed to find the perfect “hack” to help find places to stay overnight.

The app, YourParkingSpace, lets you book time across many public car parks, including supermarkets.

It has over a million downloads from the Google Play Store and a rating of 4.2 from over 7000 reviews.

It has been a game changer for the family as they can now avoid fines and time restrictions for “next to nothing”.

For their overnight stay in the video, the couple said it cost them just £2.50 to stay in the car park.

YourParkingSpace allows booking at more than 700,000 spots across the UK, including supermarkets such as Asda, Sainsbury’s, and Tesco.

It works similarly to other parking apps like JustPark, with YourParkingSpace also allowing bookings on private driveways.

It will be his eighth appearance overall for the Reds but it is a first start for the exciting rookie, 20.

Academy hooker Danny Sheahan has been named on the bench and is set to make his senior debut as the basement boys host 11-placed Munster.

As well as O’Connor, Shane Daly, Billy Burns Ethan Coughlan, Tom Ahern and captain Jack O’Donoghue come into the team following the two-point Champions Cup defeat to the Saints.

‘It’s good he’s not dancing around’ – Luke Littler responds to darts rival’s new walk-on song

LUKE LITTLER admitted he “fell asleep” before setting up another blockbuster clash with Michael van Gerwen.

The 18-year-old ground out a 6-4 win over Dimitri Van den Bergh in his Dutch Masters opener – after the Belgian had shaken up his walk-on routine.

The Belgian was unable to stop the world champion winning 6-4[/caption]

However, the teen sensation needed to hit three 180s in the last two legs to get over the line after a mid-match slump.

On going up a gear, he admitted: “I had to. Dimitri was behind me all the way.

“But two-nil up, fell asleep and I had to find other gears.

“The World Series is a massive thing. You go to all these different countries. But I would say it’s match practice for the Premier League.”

Van den Bergh surprisingly dumped his classic Happy walk-on song and dance for the occasion.

It was replaced by Play Hard by David Guetta.

When asked about it, Littler replied: “I don’t really know. I think it’s good for us players that he’s not there dancing around!

“So we get to walk-on quicker. He can take his time. It’s a good song.”

Littler now faces Van Gerwen in the quarters, a repeat of their World Final clash at the Ally Pally three weeks ago.

He added: “Obviously I’d like to get another win and progress to the semi-final.

“I think Michael might be thinking he wants revenge, especially in his backyard.

“It would be a good thing to beat him in his backyard.

“Like I said, win that game and guarantee myself a place in the semi-final.”

Luke Littler prize money breakdown

Here is all the prize money Luke Littler has won so far after being crowned 2025 PDC World Darts Championship winner:

World Championship 2025 – £500,000

World Championship 2024 – £200,000

Grand Slam of Darts 2024 – £150,000

European Tour – £91,000

European Championship – £7,500

(Unranked) Premier League Darts – £315,000

TOTAL: £1.43 million

MVG will go into his rematch with Littler sporting a broken toe.

The three-time world champion suffered a freak injury while on holiday with his family in Thailand.

Asked if the injury would hamper him in the tournament, he replied: “[It’s] annoying, but you can’t do anything about it.

“It happened last week on holiday. Accidents can happen. I enjoyed my holiday. I definitely had a nice rest.”

Moment Marco Silva snaps at reporter over question ahead of Fulham’s clash against Man Utd

MARCO SILVA was in no mood to discuss the dire form of Manchester United ahead of Fulham’s Sunday night clash with the Red Devils.

The Fulham boss shut down questions regarding United’s poor form and insisted that he was asked about his team rather than their opponents ahead of the Premier League bout.

Silva was asked about Ruben Amorim’s comments regarding his side being the ‘worst Man Utd side in history’[/caption]

Silva didn’t want to be pulled into questions that he felt could disrespect his opponents before their visit to Craven Cottage tomorrow.

After being asked about Ruben Amorim’s criticism of his team as being the “worst team in Man Utd history”, Silva snapped.

He said: “As I said before, we are here to talk about Fulham vs Manchester United.

“If you want comments about Man Utd and if you want comments about what people are saying then you have to ask different people and a different manager, not me”.

Silva refused to engage in any open criticism of Man Utd despite a second attempt from the reporter to compare Fulham’s form with United in recent weeks.

He added: “We are going really, really well. It’s not because of the position of Man Utd. Sorry.

“Talk about ourselves. You want to talk about ourselves. You mention the position of Man Utd and I was a little bit confused”.

When Silva was probed one more time to comment about Fulham sitting above Man Utd in the table, he immediately cut off the reporter and refused to discuss his opponents any further.

“No, sorry. Sorry to interrupt you. We are in a very good position because we are doing really well.

“Nothing related to the position of Manchester United. We are doing really well and we are in the position we are because we have been strong enough and we have been competitive enough.

“And if you are there it doesn’t matter what is the team that is below us or above us. We are there because we deserve to be in a different position.

“But it’s about ourselves not about the position of the team we are going to play against. I repeat again, I have massive respect for them.”

Fulham are currently three places and seven points ahead of Ruben Amorim‘s Man Utd side in the Premier League table.

While their form has seen them lose just once in their last 11 games in all competitions – a stark comparison to Man Utd who have lost five of their last nine games across all comps.

Amorim was left fuming after his side fell to a 3-1 defeat the hands of Brighton last weekend, labelling his team as “the worst team maybe in the history of Manchester United.”

While he was also involved in a furious outburst in the dressing room, ultimately damaging the TV used to display tactics ahead of games during his emotional reaction.

Asked what led to the outburst after united’s 2-1 win over Rangers, he explained: “I didn’t think, that’s why. I’m a young guy and sometimes I make a mistake.

“That’s why I don’t [usually] speak after the game. This game, I needed to talk and maybe it was a mistake.

“Then I get more nervous and go to the [press] conference really nervous and say things you should not say.

“I don’t promise I will not do it again. I don’t know, but I’ll try to improve”.
