My five-month-old baby is so chunky people tell me to sign him up for the NFL – he’s almost 2 stone already

A MOTHER has revealed that her five-month-old baby is so big, people are already telling her to sign him up for the NFL.

Elias was born in August last year at 9:57am and weighed 9lbs 10oz.

But now, the content creator, who has openly shared her motherhood journey online – from her gender reveal to moments before she gave birth – confirmed that her son is five months old and weighs almost two stone already.

Posting on social media, the brunette beauty shared a clip holding up her son, as she mimed along to a trending TikTok audio.

She held up her beautiful baby and mimed: “I like ‘em big, I like ‘em chunky.”

The mother then confirmed: “My 5 month old baby that weighs 23lbs [1.6 stone].”

Eleihla then tagged a variety of American football teams alongside the clip, including Las Vegas Raiders, Los Angeles Rams, Seattle Seahawks and Kansas City Chiefs.

She questioned: “Anyone calling dibs?”

The TikTok clip, which was posted under the username @eleihlagomez, has clearly left many open-mouthed, as it has quickly gone viral and racked up 2.6 million views.

Many social media users eagerly flocked to the comments, to compliment the ‘cute’ baby.

One person said: “Omg how cute! Aww!”

Another added: “He’s soooo adorable.”

A third commented: “Cutest kid evvvvvvvver!”

Meanwhile, others joked about his size and claimed that not only was he prepared for a job, but he was ready to play professional sport too.

One user joked: “Get that kid a football helmet, he is ready!!”

One month:

  • Weight: 7.5 to 12 pounds (3.4 to 5.4 kg)
  • Length: 20 to 23 inches (50 to 58 cm)

Three months:

  • Weight: 11 to 15 pounds (5 to 7 kg)
  • Length: 23 to 25 inches (58 to 63 cm)

Six months:

  • Weight: 13 to 20 pounds (6 to 9 kg)
  • Length: 25 to 28 inches (63 to 71 cm)

Nine months:

  • Weight: 16 to 24 pounds (7 to 11 kg)
  • Length: 27 to 30 inches (69 to 76 cm)

12 months:

  • Weight: 17 to 27 pounds (8 to 12 kg)
  • Length: 28 to 32 inches (71 to 81 cm)

These values represent averages and individual babies may vary. Always consult with a paediatrician for personalised information regarding a baby’s growth and development.

A second chimed in: “Someone make some calls to the NFL.”

Someone else penned: “Ma’am he is ready for a job.”

Whilst another laughed: “More like five months left till graduation.”

At the same time, others were concerned about Eleihla’s back as a result of the weight of her son, as one shared: “I just know your back hurts.”

More on parenting

Speaking of all things parenting, the experts at Babycentre have recently revealed the once popular baby names that are now at risk of going extinct.

Whilst Amelie fell 12 places since last year and now ranks at 94, Lucy is now ranked at 95, falling down 11 positions.

Meanwhile, Nova and Lilly have both left the top 100 altogether.

For the boys, Jason has suffered a dramatic fall – slipping entirely out of the top 100 after years of being a classic mainstay.

Jaxton also fell to 64 on the list and Austin now ranks at just 91.

Are Unique Baby Names Worth The Hassle?

YOU may think having a unique name helps you to stand out, but is it all it's cracked up to be?

Fabulous’ Deputy Editor Josie Griffiths reveals the turmoil she faced with her own name while growing up.

When I was a child, all I wanted was one of those personalised keyrings with my name on it.

But no joy, the closest I could find was Rosie, Joseph (not great for a little girl) and Joanne.

Josie is short for Josephine, which is a French name, and I managed to reach my 20s without ever meeting anyone who shared it.

When I try to introduce myself to people, I get all sorts of random things – like Tracey and Stacey – which can be pretty annoying.

Although I have come into contact with a couple of Josies over the last year – there seems to be a few of us around my age – it’s still a much rarer name than most of my friends have.

On the whole I don’t mind it, at least it’s not rude or crazily spelt.

And it means I can get away with ‘doing a Cheryl’ and just referring to myself as Josie.

I’m getting married this year and some friends are shocked that I’m changing my surname, as it’s not seen as very cool or feminist to do so these days, but I explain to them that I’m not that attached to Griffiths as I’d always just say ‘hi it’s Josie’ when ringing a mate up.

I think it’s nice to be unique and I’ll definitely try and replicate this when naming my own kids.

It’s the rude names you’ve got to watch out for, so after nine years as a lifestyle journalist I’ll definitely be avoiding those.

But it’s not just the names falling in popularity that are particularly noteworthy.

A new trend has been spotted as almost half of the top 100 girls names followed a trend, with 46 out of 100 ending in an “a”.

And although Lily has become popular among parents-to-be, the double L spelling, Lilly, has seen a drastic drop after positioning in the mid-90s in 2023.

Other popular names for girls include Grace, which climbed up to sixth place, Sophia took seventh, followed by Freya and Ivy.

Margot and Gabriella also debuted on the list, marking the trend of classic names for girls.

For boys, a new trend is short and long versions of names, for example, Theodore, Theo and Teddy.

Noah just missed out on the top spot this year, and Oliver now ranks fifth, as Arthur and George takes sixth and seventh place.

American-inspired are also an upcoming trend for new parents, with names like Hunter, Hudson, Mason, Harrison and Logan becoming firm favourites.

‘Genuine concern’ over Guinness shortage at Cheltenham Festival – but chances of running dry a longshot

THERE is ‘genuine concern’ over a Guinness shortage at Cheltenham Festival – but the chances of running dry are a longshot.

More than 265,000 pints – enough to fill three Olympic swimming pools – were guzzled down by punters over four days last year.

Cheltenham Festival and Guinness go hand in hand – but fears have been raised about supply amid reports of pubs rationing amounts or even running out completely[/caption]

But amid reports of rationing in pubs and some running out completely, fears have been building that racing’s greatest festival could be severely impacted too.

Luckily, Sun Racing understands certain key events, such as Cheltenham, are ring-fenced by suppliers to ensure there is always enough available.

So it doesn’t look like the Guinness Village will be running out of Guinness this year.

Still, punters can expect a pint to set them back £7.80 – a 30p increase on 2024 prices – amid an explosion in popularity for the Irish stout, driven by influencers on social media.

A spokesperson for the Licensed Vintners Association told the Racing Post: “The surge in Guinness’ popularity has been phenomenal, but it’s placing immense pressure on breweries, distributors, and pubs.

“With the Cheltenham Festival just weeks after the January race meet, there’s genuine concern that availability could be severely impacted, especially if consumption trends continue.”

Cheltenham Festival, which represents the pinnacle of the jumps racing season, kicks off on Tuesday, March 11.

Bosses have brought in a number of changes sought to benefit punters this year, including allowing racegoers carrying a pint to roam the grounds more freely.

A new ‘meal deal’ has been introduced and the car parks will be improved after there was ‘absolute bedlam’ when a load of motors got stuck in the mud last year.

Wynne Evans’ Strictly co-stars snub him after crude sexual comment to Janette Manrara

STRICTLY Come Dancing stars are distancing themselves from Wynne Evans after his inappropriate joke about Janette Manrara.

The GoCompare opera singer found himself in another storm at the start of the Strictly 2025 tour when he was caught making a crude comment about the It Takes Two presenter.

Wynne Evans, 52, was recorded making a gesture to EastEnders’ Jamie Borthwick, suggesting a threesome with presenter Janette and using the term “spit roast” during a photocall.

While he has since apologised for the comment, professionals on the show have rallied around long-time Strictly star Janette and have started unfollowing him on social media.

Neil Jones, Karen Hauer and Johannes Radebe have all notably unfollowed him on Instagram, despite following him during the series.

Johannes, who is not on the Strictly tour this year due to his prior obligations to stage show Kinky Boots, still follows every single other celeb from the 2024 series.

Notably, other stars – including his pro partner Katya Jones, Janette and Janette’s husband Aljaz Skorjanec – continue to follow the star.

When the incident was made public, Wynne told The Mail on Sunday: “My language was inappropriate and unacceptable, for which I sincerely apologise.”

He later dropped out of one of the performances due to an ankle injury, and later was seen singing on stage – despite being unable to dance.

On Sunday night, he performed at the Glasgow Hydro Arena, telling the audience that he had “not had the best day”.

BBC and Strictly Live producers said: “We have made it clear to Wynne we do not tolerate such behaviour on tour.”

They are since believed to have accepted his apology and plan to move on from it.

Janette’s spokeswoman said she had been “unaware of this comment” at the time.

Despite the incident, Katya has continued to stand by Wynne and support him, sharing a photo declaring him “tour fam” in a picture from a night at the pub.

The black-and-white photograph shows Wynne holding his hand over Jamie Borthwick’s eyes, while Tasha cuddles up to him.

THE top 40 outdoor pursuits Brits want to try in 2025 include foraging, stargazing, and wild swimming.

A poll of 2,000 adults revealed 64 per cent are motivated by a desire to reconnect with nature.

As such, natural world-inspired pursuits feature prominently in the list, with the likes of rockhounding – collecting rocks, minerals, and fossils, nature journaling, and wildlife photography all featuring.

Other popular wildlife-inspired pursuits for the year ahead include fishing, horseback riding, and swimming in natural pools.

Along with hiking, cycling, zip-lining, and archery, and running or trail running, cross-country road trips, beachcombing, and outdoor yoga.

Kristian Cholmondley, managing director of Jeep UK, makers of the Avenger Electric, which commissioned the research, said: “It’s clear Brits are increasingly seeking ways to reconnect with nature, which speaks to our fundamental need to escape the digital world and embrace the physical world around us.

“The research highlights how much people value outdoor activities that not only offer the opportunity to experience freedom and adventure, but also to improve mental health and wellbeing.”

The study also found 77 per cent of adults are ‘likely’ to try one or more outdoor pursuits during the coming months – and they’d be willing to travel an average of 39 miles to do so.

It emerged 81 per cent are ‘particularly’ interested in outdoor pursuits which are nature orientated.

With other motivations for getting out and about including to relax (50 per cent), to boost or maintain mental health (43 per cent), and to get fitter or maintain fitness (38 per cent).

But enjoying the great outdoors comes with some challenges – including lack of time (37 per cent), the cost of travel (28 per cent), and lack of confidence (28 per cent).

Despite this, those polled manage to spend an average of five hours and 15 minutes outside for leisure each week.

Carried out through OnePoll, the research also identified the biggest priorities among motorists should they invest in a car designed for rural roads, with price (45 per cent) coming top.

Other ‘musts’ include reliability (44 per cent), comfort for long drives (23 per cent), and safety features (23 per cent).

Jeep UK’s Kristian Cholmondley added: “The focus on reliability, comfort, and safety speaks to the kinds of experiences people are looking to have in the wild.

“Whether it’s a weekend getaway or a spontaneous outdoor adventure, the need for accessible, dependable transportation is at an all-time high.”

Love Island’s Luca dropped clue to secret feud with Scott Thomas BEFORE squaring up to each other – did you spot it?

LOVE Island star Luca Bish dropped a clue about his secret feud with Scott Thomas before they squared up to each other.

A furious Scott, 36, was seen squaring up to his villa friend, 25, as a fiery row erupted.

It all kicked off during a game of truth or dare, as the Islanders enjoyed a Las Vegas themed evening.

It started when Scott said he had a truth he wanted to as Grace – who Luca is coupled up with – but said he “didn’t want to say” it aloud.

The row then escalated further and the other Islanders were forced to step in, and the group tried to continue playing after the first row, but things took a turn for the worst when Luca was dared to kiss who is in here for fame.

But viewers have noticed that Luca had called Scott “vanilla” repeatedly before their feud, hinting that something wasn’t quite right between them.

While Scott had said that Luca reminded him of his younger self, Luca called Scott vanilla during a challenge in what appeared to be a dig at the star.

After witnessing the tense feud on the show during the sash challenge, one social media user wrote: “Luca has actually been digging at Scott this whole series tbh. How has no one else seen that?

“I would’ve cracked too if I was Scott. Luca had it coming.”

A second person penned: “Because Luca kept provoking Scott, you could see Luca boiling and ready to go for Scott at any moment.”

Someone else wrote: “Not sure why people are surprised that Scott finally reacted after how Luca has been.”

And someone else echoed: “Luca has called Scott vanilla repeatedly.”

In the scenes that played out, Luca kissed Scott on the cheek and said he thinks he wants to get far in the villa, adding “that’s why you’re with Tina and you’re not feeling it now”.

Tina looked horrified and asked for someone to explain – as she learnt the truth she walked away crying.

Furious, Scott squared up to Luca for the second time and asked: “This guy, who are you bro? Wow?”

The row came after Scott confided in the boys about how he was really feeling about Tina – who he is coupled up with.

And Scott’s brother Ryan Thomas has shared his thoughts on the feud too.

“I’m sorry Luca,” Ryan could be heard saying as he sat on the sofa watching Love Island on Sunday night.

“That’s a snakey move, that. That is a snakey move to do that publicly. I am so upset with him,” he fumed.

In the next slide, Ryan said: “This is horrible, you know.”

He then later added: “I’ll be honest, wasn’t very fair that from Luca.

“To do it publicly around a table like that, in front of all them people.”
