SIGNING up Ronnie Vint’s ex Harriett Blackmore to All Stars should have been a series highlight for Love Island – but it fell flat.

The brunette bombshell confidently arrived during a kissing challenge – and, as expected, turned Ronnie’s head instantly.

It ended his two-week romance with Towie’s Elma Pazar on the spot as he confessed he was “in love” with his ex and wanted to win her back.

It sound like the makings of an entertaining love triangle, but instead threatens to kill off the show – and that’s because fans are convinced Ron and Harriett plotted this storyline.

Just weeks before entering the villa for a second time, Ron had sent roses to Harriett for Christmas – signing off the card “love you”.

If she wasn’t on board with the fake break up, surely Harriett would be furious that her ex was in Love Island while trying to get back with her?

Instead, the pair struggled to even pretend they weren’t totally fixated on each other.

Harriett weakly claimed she wouldn’t be kissing him all series as he tenderly caressed her legs on the day bed.

But just one episode later, the pair pucker up in a first look at tonight’s show.

It’s after Harriett was pied by Ron Hall who she picked, apparently, to keep Ronnie on his toes.

Ronnie and Harriett have done such a bad job at pretending they weren’t planning to reunite all along that it’s pointed out what’s wrong with the format.

Yes, All Stars is bound to have a mix of exes in the villa prepared to offer some frosty atmospheres or exciting second chances.

But Love Island should ban serious couples like Harriett and Ronnie – who left the last series together – from being on the show.

Fans don’t want to feel like they’re being hoodwinked.

They want to see true love blossom – just like what happened between winners Tom Clare and Molly Smith on last year’s All Stars.

It’s Elma I feel sorry for in all this.

You could tell she really liked Ronnie and went against her instincts to give it a go with the self-nicknamed ‘Turbo Ronnie’.

From the off they had natural chemistry with their fun sense of humour – but it was all in vain.

Despite being on a dating show, Ronnie’s head was still firmly with his ex who just happened to arrive two weeks later.

Now Elma – someone who fans are rooting for to find love – has been left single and at risk of being dumped.

Meanwhile Ronnie and Harriett are preparing to cash in on future opportunities as a couple with brand deals and photo shoots.

From a show that has genuinely produced some true love stories – it was a predictably disappointing move.

David was seen spotted enjoying a run in Brentwood, California.

He wore a Adidas grey t-shirt and a pair of matching gym shorts with blue and grey trainers.

The movie star was seen working up a sweat during an early morning jog, before slowing down for a stroll.

David played the a 12-year-old Josh in the hit movie Big, which was released back in 1988.

After a wish turns a young Josh into a 30-year-old man (Tom Hanks), he heads to New York City and gets a job at MacMillen Toy Company.

A chance encounter with the owner (Robert Loggia) of the company leads to a promotion testing new toys.

Soon a fellow employee, Susan Lawrence (Elizabeth Perkins), takes a romantic interest in Josh.

However, the pressure of living as an adult begins to overwhelm him, and he longs to return to his simple, former life as a boy.

David previously opened up about his fond memories of working with Hollywood icon Tom.

“He’s not pretentious,” David told PEOPLE of Castaway star Tom.

“There’s no pretension about him at all. He would come to work in a backpack and take the subway.

“He was a big kid. He was super playful, [and] very fun.

“There was no treating me as a kid. He just treated himself as a kid.”

He added that Tom fully immersed himself in the role and took on the “quirky things about being a kid”.

David also landed the role of David Jacobs in the 1992 musical film Newsies, alongside Christian Bale.

While he also bagged the leading role opposite Jessica Alba in the film Honey.

Fans will also recognise David from TV series Zoe, Duncan, Jack and Jane, plus he also featured on series Seinfeld as Lomez Jr.

David, who married wife Karen Riotoc in 2014, will be back for their fifth series of Tastemade’s From Scratch, which returns to screen in April.

They will be visiting Kansas City, Denmark and Sweden to make meals from scratch while learning about “the planet’s complex and interconnected food supply”.

ALDI Ireland fans are rushing to buy a new “roadside hero” in the middle aisle – and it costs just €4.99.

Meanwhile, an Irish driving instructor has revealed a major hack to speed up your test waiting time.

Learner drivers are facing long waits while the number of no-shows for scheduled tests has been rising each month for the past year.

An analysis by road safety campaigners Parc revealed that Kildare and Dublin have the longest wait times in the country, with some waits of up to 30 weeks.

But there’s a major hack on how to get a test date quicker that some drivers may not be aware about.

Lyle, known on TikTok as @Lyletheinstructor, is a hugely popular instructor with over 70,000 followers on the platform.

And he revealed a major hack to speed up test waiting time.

Lyle revealed that novice drivers can get an app on their phone called DriveNow Test Cancellations to alert them if a space comes up.

He said: “You can use it for free and select a test centre, and you can go into the app and see all the available cancellation dates.

“And then you can book it from that through the RSA website.”

Lyle then revealed that if you pay a subscription fee in the app, you will get unlimited notifications when an available date is free near you.

What’s more, novice drivers would also be able to book it through the app.

Lyle added: “You can also pay for the app and you can get unlimited notifications for cancellations that are live, and you will be able to book it straight away.

“And we know that cancellations often go very, very fast.

“If you don’t want to wait very long and if you want to grab a cancellation while they’re there, it might be a good idea to use the DriveNow app.”

The app is available through Apple’s app store, and for android users it can be downloaded through the play store.

You can use it for free, and it’s €4.99 per week for those willing to pay the subscription.

Reflecting on the odd video, Holmes shockingly told GB News: “I know for a fact the FA Cup is often used as a receptacle for urine.

“Players have told me. More than one player over the years has told me that.”

Holmes failed to elaborate on the disturbing claims, including who told him and when it’s believed to have happened.

Meanwhile, fans have torn into Sabalenka for her behaviour on Saturday.

The world No1 was chasing a third straight Australian Open when she fell to defeat to surprise package, Keys.

The American became a major winner for the first time with a 6-3 2-6 7-5 victory in Melbourne, in her first Grand Slam final since her 2017 US Open loss.

BRITAIN’S slowest-selling used cars in 2024 have been revealed, with one Hyndai model often taking over 100 days to get snapped up on dealership forecourts.

Newly released data from Auto Trader found that both BMW and Lexus are slow burners on the second-hand car market.

The wooden spoon award was scooped by the Hyundai Ioniq 6, which took an average of 125 days to sell last year.

The luxury Lexus RX comes in second place, taking 114 days to be picked up by a buyer.

In January so far, the slowest-selling car is the Honda CR-V, which takes 62 days to sell.

However, the used car market thrived in 2025, with second-hand motors selling at the fastest pace since records began in 2019.

On the other side of the table, Mercedes-Benz GLB Class took an average of just 16 days to sell last year.

The German marque also secured the second-place spot with its A-Class SUV, which takes 16 days and 12 hours on average to be sold.

EVs are also the overwhelming favourite model type, taking a median of just 29 days to sell, compared to 30 and 31 days for petrol and diesel vehicles, respectively.

Vehicles aged between three and five years old were sold at an even greater pace, with EVs flying off forecourts in just 23 days.

“We’ve entered January with real momentum, following a very positive market performance last year,’ Richard Walker, data and insight director at AutoTrader, explained. 

“Cars sold at a rapid pace, demand was very robust, and prices were stable. 

“But 2024 really was the year of the used EV, especially for those ‘middle-aged’ models which have become more accessible than ever, helping demand rocket over the last 12 months or so. 

“It shows that when the price is right, car buyers are more than happy to make the switch to electric.”

This comes as Dacia recently revealed that their budget-friendly Sandero model was the best-selling car across Europe in 2024 – despite once being the subject of a famous running joke on Top Gear.

The little model can be picked up brand new for under £15,000 – which is “good news” for penny-pinching drivers in the UK.

According to recently revealed stats, Dacia sold 309,392 units of the Sandero, making it Europe’s best-selling vehicle across all channels, even outselling the Tesla Model Y – which remains the world’s best-seller.

It also makes it the best-selling vehicle in the European retail market since 2017.

The Sandero is perhaps best known for the fame it found during the height of Top Gear’s popularity.

It was frequently mentioned during “the news” – a segment where presenters Clarkson, Hammond and May rounded up the latest events in the car industry.

Any word of the model being renewed was announced by May with a trademark cry of “good news”.
