A GANGSTER who made almost £2million has been ordered to pay back just £125,000 – and can use designer trainers and watches as part of the wealth handover.
Paul ‘The Captain’ Fleming faced a proceeds of crime hearing in Edinburgh.James ‘The Don’ White headed up the mob formerly run by the Gillespie brothers
But the 40-year-old has been allowed to even used flash gear he bought from his ill-gotten gains to help him pay back the total he now owes through Proceeds of Crime laws.
The hood yesterday agreed to hand over a haul of luxury goods he splashed out on before he was nicked.
During a brief hearing at the High Court in Edinburgh Fleming was present as a judge was told that a settlement in the proceedings was agreed.
Defence counsel Allan Macleod, for Fleming, told judge Lord Cubie it was agreed that the benefit from general criminal conduct in his case was £1,841,903 and the available amount for a confiscation order was £125,970.
Mr Macleod said that almost £50,000 of the assets identified was money that was already held by the authorities.
He said the remainder was made up of “high value” goods, including trainers and three designer watches.
He told the court: “There is an agreement these goods are to be surrendered to the Police Service of Scotland.”
He said Fleming has signed a mandate authorising the release of the trainers, by brands such as Jimmy Choo, and watches to police.
Mr Macleod told the court that he understood the police would sell the items and if the sale achieved more or less than the estimated value then there would be an application to vary the terms of the settlement.
“It could be more valuable or less valuable,” the defence counsel told the court.
Lord Cubie made a confiscation order against Fleming for £125,970.96.
Fleming is serving a nine-year jail sentence for his role in a serious organised crime group involved in trafficking drugs and guns.
White is currently serving a nine year and 10 month prison sentence.
Fleming was extradited from Spain after fighting his return by attempting to claim asylum in the European country before pleading guilty to directing others involved in serious and organised crime to commit offences on his return to Scotland.
He was involved, over a four year period, in arranging the importation of banned firearms and ammunition, the bringing in, supply and sale of cocaine and cannabis and hiding and transferring “dirty money” from crime throughout the UK and Europe.
Kingpin Barry Gillespie disappeared in Brazil before James ‘The Don’ White took controlGlasgow hood James Gillespie hasn’t been seen since 2019.
A fake solar panel firm was used as a front to bring narcotics into the country and some of the cash from illegal activities was laundered through the purchase of designer watches.
Sineidin Corrins, Deputy Procurator Fiscal for Specialist Casework at the Crown Office and Procurator Fiscal Service (COPFS), said: “Proceeds of Crime orders are a vital tool to disrupt crime in Scotland and one of the many ways we can target those who try to profit from illegal activity.
“We will not stop at prosecution. The Crown has the power to extend orders to seize money and assets Paul Fleming acquires in the future to pay back the full amount he made from his crimes.
“The money recovered is reinvested into our communities through the Cashback for Communities programme.”

KANYE West’s first paid screening for wife Bianca Censori’s film was chaotic as fans were made to wait hours before she made a bizarre appearance as a performance artist.
Kanye, 47, and Bianca, 30, reportedly both reached out to divorce attorneys earlier this month amid rumors of a split.
The U.S. SunMany onlookers believed that the woman taking part was a Bianca Censori lookalike amid divorce rumors[/caption]
The U.S. SunKanye West’s wife appeared in the movie wearing a red wig in some scenes[/caption]
BackGridKanye West stepped out in Los Angeles for Bianca Censori’s movie premiere[/caption]
But they appeared to still be together at their second art event at a warehouse in Los Angeles on Sunday evening.
The U.S. Sun can confirm Kanye was selling $100 tickets for the screening of Bianca’s first feature-length film, which was produced by the rapper and shot in Japan.
It came after an earlier premiere saw hundreds of people line up outside the venue on Saturday night.
But the first paid event was a different story, as Kanye advertised three different screenings at 6 pm, 8 pm, and 10 pm, and nothing went to plan.
Sources said the doors didn’t open until 8 pm and the film didn’t start until after 10 pm.
It was hours before the venue was even half full, and the VIP area was still being constructed with workers banging and walking around with ladders.
Only around 250 people appeared to have attended the event in total.
One onlooker said: “It was so unorganized and none of us knew what was going on, or whether the movie would ever play.
‘EMPTY VIP’
“The first half was deafeningly loud and the ground was shaking in the venue, it was almost unbearable.
“There was no clapping when it finished and it wasn’t that impressive, even though the imagery was great.
“Everyone was then ushered to the side of the venue for Bianca’s performance piece, but it was so dark most people didn’t think it was even her.
“She was dressed as a nun, or a nurse, nobody was sure, but she had a white bandage around her head, a long white dress with a high stiff collar, and white heels.
“Bianca was sitting on the side of a vintage bed only blinking for about 10 minutes before Kanye whispered to a security guard who went over to her.
“He then whispered in her ear and she stood up and slowly began making the bed.”
Bianca then stood by the bed for a long time and some fans were seen leaving the venue early, the source added.
She was then ushered backstage and the film began again on a large screen, as many of the guests headed out.
Another guest said, “The idea was great but the event planning was not, it was a bit of a mess.”
Bianca is seen in several different scenes of the film, including one segment where she cuts her hair.
She also appears almost naked in another clip wearing a tiny thong as she slowly writhes around on the floor.
Bianca is not believed to have spoken to any fans at the event and kept very low key, while Kanye did agree to sign some autographs.
The U.S. SunThe Yeezy architect also stripped off in the film and wore only a thong in one scene[/caption]

He even drew a swastika on the back of a vinyl record for one supporter following his Nazi rants on X.
The VIP area at the event was only a small free bar with around 20 people mingling around.
An eyewitness said Kanye was seen standing by alone and eating takeout.
He had been seen floating through the crowd on the odd occasion dressed in a custom-made jacket that had the word ‘Security’ written on the back.
The U.S. Sun understands Kanye and Bianca arrived in a dark SUV which was backed into the VIP area and she spent the majority of the time in the car out of sight.
At the premiere on Saturday, Biancawas completely covered up in a black robe and shroud covering her body and face.
Kanye later boasted about the project on Instagram, deleting everything from his page apart from the poster, which sees Bianca lying naked on the floor with her back to the camera.
He wrote alongside it: “I’M SO PROUD OF MY WIFE FOR STARRING IN HER FIRST FEATURE FILM SHOT IN JAPAN DIRECTED BY VANESSA BEECROFT PRODUCED BY ME.”
He also called for his “idol” Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs to be freed from jail as he awaits trial for sex trafficking.
Bianca is also facing her own scandal, as she’s been accused of bizarre behavior while working for Yeezy as Head of Architecture, according to a bombshell report.
Journalist Louis Pisano spoke to a former Yeezy senior designer who spoke about the “toxic” workplace in his Substack,DISCOURSTED.
In early 2023, she took on a more “authoritative” role at Yeezy, and allegedly began acting “cutthroat.”
“She turned into a demon,” the staffer told Pisano.
“She wanted to cut lunch breaks for all the seamstresses, even though we had to travel two hours to get to work every morning.
“Bianca was always doing weird stuff, like coming into our trailer and asking what we thought about Jews.”
Kanye’s rep denied claims the pair had split and claimed they had plans for Valentine’s Day.

IT’S every holidaymakers nightmare – stepping off the plane at your holiday destination only to find your luggage hasn’t made it with you.
Yet it happens to millions of us every year.
Nobody wants to arrive on holiday without any luggageGettyMake sure to keep essentials in your carry-on for emergenciesGetty
If you’re keen to avoid becoming part of that figure, there are 8 essential tips to help prevent it from happening, Chipolo says.
Get rid of old labels and stickers
It’s easy to avoid this job, but it’s always safer to remove old airline tags and stickers from your case.
Bags are scanned at multiple points along their journey so it can be easy to confuse scanners with old flight info.
Always remove old labels and tagsGetty
Take emergency essentials in your carry-on
If the worst does happen and you’re left empty handed at the baggage carousel, this will help you cope with the first few days of your trip.
Make sure to pack things like your wallet, toothbrush, medicine, phone chargers and a spare pair of pants in your carry-on.
A Bluetooth tracker can help locate your luggageGetty
Invest in a recognisable luggage tag
Let’s face it – a lot of bags look the same, so it can be hard to identify them from a distance.
Invest in a tough, brightly-coloured luggage tag to make it easier to spot yours out of a line-up.
You can even purchase personalised luggage tags online if you like to mix style with practicality.
Keep your contact info inside your case
Don’t overlook the chance of your luggage tag being ripped off during transit – it’s common for cases to get chucked around on their journeys and even the toughest labels can be torn off.
For this reason, it’s a good idea to keep your contact details inside your bag too, so if a good Samaritan does find it and look inside, they’ll know how to reach you.
Purchase a smart luggage tag
Popping a smart tracker inside your case is an easy to way to locate your luggage in a flash.
iPhone users can connect a Bluetooth tracker to their phone’s ‘Find My’ app, they’ll just need to purchase an Apple Airtag or Chipolo’s Spot finder.
The ‘Find My’ app even has a Notify When Found feature, where other iPhone users can help you locate your lost luggage.
Android users don’t have access to the ‘Find My’ app, so they’ll need to rely on a Bluetooth GPS tracker, which has a more limited range.
Get rid of all loose straps from your luggage
Remove all straps that aren’t absolutely necessary for carrying your luggage.
This will make sure your bag doesn’t get hooked on anything while journeying through baggage handling.
Make sure your luggage is easily identifiableGetty
Snap a quick pic of your luggage
Although this won’t prevent your luggage from going missing, this two-second hack is a great way to help identify your bag if it does.
If you have to reach out to the lost property department you’ll be able to easily show them what your luggage looks like, so they’re more able to find it.
Check-in early
Getting to check-in nice and early is the best way to make sure the airline staff can process your luggage in a calm and organised manner.
If you rock up late, you’ll cause them to rush, and this could mean your luggage gets sent to the wrong location – or worse still, it might be too late to get your luggage onboard at all.

MILLIONS of copies of Pokémon games have been flogged across Britain – so chances are, you’ve got one at home.
And if you’re keen to cash in, some of the classics are worth hundreds (and even thousands) of pounds.
News Group Newspapers LtdThe Game Boy Colour is one of the best-loved Nintendo consoles, and home to several Pokémon classics[/caption]
NintendoThe Pokémon Puzzle Challenge game is now a collectible worth paying hundreds for[/caption]
Pokémon launched as a pair of games in Japan in 1996, and quickly became a global sensation.
It wasn’t until October 1999 that Pokémon Red and Blue landed on the original Nintendo Game Boy.
And since then, dozens of Pokémon games have been released across several Nintendo consoles.
One prize pick for collectors is Pokémon Puzzle Challenge, which was a Game Boy Colour title.
Video game collectibles tracker PriceCharting lists the estimated worth of a sealed copy as £442.59.
And a professionally-graded copy that is sealed is valued even higher at £486.86.
Even if you couldn’t resist and opened the box up to play, you could still fetch £258.90 for a complete-in-box copy.
Sadly the estimated value of a loose cartridge is far lower at £29.81.
But the game’s box is said to be even more valuable at £105.66.
And the game’s manual could also fetch a tidy £20.30 if that’s all you’ve still got.
EASY SELL?
Of course if you do decide to sell your copy of Pokémon Puzzle Challenge, you might get different results.
These estimates are based on previous sales of the game online – and don’t guarantee any values.
So you could get much lower offers than the ones listed here.
On the other hand, collectors might be willing to pay even more for your prized Pokémon cartridge.

It’s also worth noting that these prices reflect how much has already been paid for games.
But they don’t take into account the future value of your games, which might rise as they become rarer – or fall if people lose interest.
So consider carefully before selling your old classics, as they could be worth even more one day.
