Hon. Eric Edem Agbana, Member of Parliament for Ketu North, has lauded the Finance Minister for presenting what he describes as an excellent budget that addresses key economic challenges.
He noted that the budget provides hope and prioritizes fiscal discipline, which he believes is crucial in tackling the nation’s financial burdens.
According to him, reckless spending in recent years led to significant economic difficulties, a situation that the current administration is working to correct.
He criticized the previous government for focusing on branding budgets with attractive names rather than implementing policies that directly improved the lives of Ghanaians.
Reflecting on past economic management, he pointed out that even members of the former ruling party grew dissatisfied, with some demanding the removal of their Finance Minister.
Agbana also dismissed concerns raised by critics, arguing that the opposition now seeks to interfere in governance despite having failed to manage the economy effectively during their tenure.
He emphasized that the current government is committed to prudent economic management and remains on the right path toward economic recovery.
