TWO former Scotland stars had a moment to forget live on air during tonight’s coverage of the big game in Greece.
James McFadden and Steven Thompson were on duty for BBC Scotland for the Nations League play-off showdown in Piraeus as Scott McTominay‘s first half penalty strike gave the Tartan Army a well-earned lead.

Steve Clarke‘s men just need to hold onto that one-goal advantage in the return leg at Hampden on Sunday to stay in League A.
It was a nervy second half as the Scots battened down the hatches to ensure they didn’t concede a goal at the other end.
And former Scotland pair McFadden and Thompson were full of praise for the Tartan Army at full-time for pulling off another heroic away performance.
But they didn’t wax lyrical over the players right away.
That’s because the duo had no idea they were actually live when the cameras initially switched to them on the touchline from the studio.
Presenter Jonathan Sutherland introduced the pair after already analysing the game with Steven Naismith and Lyndon Dykes in the studio.
McFadden and Thompson both stood at the side of the pitch looking completely unaware for several seconds before eventually addressing the camera.
McFadden initially had his back turned to the camera before Thompson looked around and repeatedly asked: “Are we good to go?!”
During the awkward encounter, Everton icon McFadden bizarrely hit out with the name of a former Scottish referee after seemingly spotting him in the crowd.
He jumped in saying: “Bobby Madden!”
Thompson quickly replied: “I saw him.”
It didn’t take long for viewers to take to social media to address the moment.
One fan laughed: “BOBBY MADDEN!’, ‘Isaw him’, superb broadcasting here!”
Another pointed out: “There’s Bobby Madden! Aye I saw him.”
Others had a pop at the Beeb’s coverage of the game in general.
Someone said: “Get the games back on YouTube, BBC Scotland having a nightmare.”
Another wrote: “BBC Scotland bragging about getting Scotland games back live……and then…..amateur hour!”
A third claimed: “BBC Scotland coverage like student TV. Amateur hour.”
