I’m scared my fixation with female celebrities has turned me lesbian

A young Black couple watches TV together on a couch in their living room.
Portrait of young Black couple watching Tv together in cozy home and holding remote control

DEAR DEIDRE: I’M scared my fixation on female celebrities has turned me lesbian.

Either that, or I’m having some sort of premature midlife crisis. My head is all over the place, and I’m worried if I don’t sort myself out, I’ll wreck my happy relationship.

I’m 28 and my boyfriend is 30. We’ve been living together for three years and have been talking about marriage and kids.

He’s wonderful and – until a few months ago – I’d have said he was perfect, my soul mate.

But recently, I’ve been questioning everything I thought I knew.

It started when I developed a crush on a famous female TV presenter. I can’t stop thinking about how beautiful she is.

Whenever she comes on screen, I feel my heart pounding, and I blush. I even dream about her.

I never had this type of crush, even when I was a teenager.

Then I started noticing other famous women – actresses, models, presenters – and fantasising about them too.

I haven’t told my boyfriend about this but he has noticed something is up, as I’m so distracted and I’ve gone off sex.

The last thing I want is to hurt him or spoil our relationship. I love him.

But part of me thinks that I might be gay and, if so, if this is something I need to explore before I settle down?

A friend of a friend is a lesbian and I think she might be interested in me.

Although I’d never cheat on my boyfriend, I’m concerned I might start to fancy her.

This is really stressing me out.

Could I suddenly be gay or bisexual?

I'm worried what my narcissistic daughter-in-law will do now she's pregnant

DEIDRE'S STORIES

Ian turns up at the restaurant

DEIDRE SAYS: Sexuality isn’t set in stone. Rather, it’s on a continuum.

The beautiful celebrities you fantasise about may have awakened feelings within you that you’ve suppressed.

Then again, this might not be about sex at all. You could simply be having a wobble about settling down.

Perhaps your fixation on these women is a form of unconscious self-sabotage, showing you you’re not quite ready.

Whatever the reason, it’s important to try to talk to your boyfriend about your feelings.

Make it clear you love him but are struggling. My support pack, Looking After Your Relationship should help.

Bisexual Questions would also be useful for you to read. It contains helpful organisations to talk to.

Love Island fan favourite couple spark split fears as villa girl admits she still fancies bombshell ex on date

A POPULAR Love Island couple face split fears – as a villa girl admits to still fancying her bombshell ex.

In scenes airing on the ITV2 dating show tonight, viewers will see an islander face a blast from the past.

Grace and Omar sparked romance rumours after series 11 ended[/caption]

Series 11’s Omar Nyame is All Stars’ latest shock bombshell to land in the villa.

During his previous stint, he briefly coupled up with Grace Jackson and clashed with Joey Essex, who she was initially coupled with.

Omar’s entrance could throw a spanner in the works for Grace and Luca Bish – with the blonde bombshell seemingly confessing she still fancies her villa ex.

Catherine received the following text: “Catherine and Grace, you have been picked to go on a date. Please get ready to leave the Villa. #BabesWhoBrunch #GetYourFlirtOn.”

Omar was already waiting for the girls at a picturesque spot for brunch.

As he and Grace caught up with their shared history, Omar said: The last time I saw you there was something there, I dunno what to call it…”

Grace added: “I got out of the Villa and we saw each other in social settings… we didn’t really start anything… I think we always fancied each other..”

Omar agreed, as he replied: “I feel like the feeling’s still the same when I first met you, the attraction is still there.”

Following series 11, Grace and Omar sparked a romance mystery as they danced the night away at a showbiz party.

Onlookers said the pair looked like an item and were “all over each other” – despite Grace dating Reuben Collins at the time.

A string of videos emerged from the GRM Gala showing the blonde bombshell grinding with Stormzy’s mate inside the venue.

In one clip circulating on TikTok, they were seen very close in the middle of the packed dance floor, while another shows them filming a TikTok video together on the terrace.

A third clip obtained by The Sun shows Omar and Grace standing alone together with his arm around the stunning Manchester beauty, as she dances next to him.

Meanwhile, a source said: “He stayed by her side all night, whereever she went and it was the sweetest thing to watch.

“Fans were chatting to them and saying you look great together and Grace couldn’t stop smiling, she looked so happy.”

The pair snogged in the telly villa when Grace was partnered with Joey Essex.

Love Island All Stars 2025 official line-up

Love Island All Stars is back on TV for season 2.

Here we take you through the line-up of all the Islanders who are in the villa so far.

Bombshells

Each series brings with it a string of hot single bombshells making their epic entrance into the villa.

Here’s who has joined the villa so far:

She left the villa with Reuben after he entered as a late bombshell.

In All Stars, Grace “stole” Luca Bish after her own bombshell arrival on Day 8.

They have seemed happy together, but could this all be about to change?

‘Ten of us in 3-bed’ – 4 generations of Galway family under same roof after Eowyn chaos as Taoiseach in new storm alert

FOUR generations of one family are back living under the same roof to share a generator amid continuing Storm Eowyn blackouts.

Weary mum Shauna Murphy and her two children, 10-year-old Fionn and eight-year-old Cara Dowd, have fled their power-outage plagued home in Liscuib, Ballymacward, Ballinasloe, Co Galway.

With a week in the dark, Shauna and her children moved down the road to the family farmhouse where they are joined by her sister and her partner and three children, along with Shauna’s father and 91-year-old grandfather Johnny Murphy.

The three-bedroom home, built in 1932, is now being powered by a generator thanks to sister Bronagh Murphy who  gave birth to a baby girl just before the storm hit.

Shauna said: “We have had to move down with my sister who was able to get a generator because she has a newborn baby.

“So there’s actually ten of us at the moment living in a three-bedroom house and that’s including my 91-year-old granddad, so there’s actually four generations together living in the one house.”

This comes as Micheal Martin today defended the Government’s response to Storm Eowyn but warned: We will have similar storms in the future.

The Taoiseach revealed the Department of Social Protection will provide temporary hotel accommodation for vulnerable people left without water and electricity for the past week.

Tens of thousands of people have been without the vital services after the massive storm created havoc, especially in the West of Ireland.

ESB crews along with European repair crews from Europe are working all out to repair the grid and line damage.

The National Emergency Co-ordination Group (NECG) met again today to discuss repair efforts over the coming days.

They said power has been restored to 694,000 customers, but some 74,000 homes, farms, schools and businesses remain without supply.

Telecommunications and water supplies have also been significantly affected.

Chair of the NECG Keith Leonard said: “It’s been an incredibly challenging week – both for those suffering prolonged disruption in the storm’s aftermath, and for the thousands of staff and volunteers involved in the intensive restoration and relief efforts.

“Nearly 700,000 people have now had their power restored, and the vast majority of people affected by water outages have had their supply restored.

“This has required an unprecedented level of work and commitment from our infrastructure crews – work that will continue over the bank holiday weekend and beyond until everyone affected is reconnected.”

Speaking in Cork, Martin promised that while Ireland can expect more storms like last weekend’s because of climate change, the Government will accelerate investment in the grid, “to future proof it and make it more resilient”.

VULNERABLE PEOPLE

The Fianna Fail leader said: “In the short, term for those still without power I have asked the Minister for Social Protection and the Department of Social Welfare to again have sustained and proactive engagement with those in the communities in terms of aid payments.

“This is particularly in terms of vulnerable people and, where possible, to organise their accommodation in hotels and so forth.

“They have been without power for a long time now and repairs may not take place until the next couple of days.

“The humanitarian response must take that into account.”

He also stressed: “There will be a need for really substantial investment in our electricity grid into the future.

“If you look at the table over the past 10 years or so, the number and severity of storms of this kind is growing.

Climate change is now having an impact to a significant degree on our country and we have to step change our resilience in terms of that. We will have similar storms to this in the years to come.

“The numbers are quite stark if you contrast it to 10 years ago in terms of the number of storms and the severity of storms in 2023, 2024 and now 2025.

‘ANGER AND FRUSTATION’

“I can fully understand the anger and frustration. Any of us who were without power for such an extended period would be very anxious and very worried.

“We are very, very dependent on technology and electricity in the modern world. We are doing everything we possible can.”

Martin added: “The West and Northwest took a terrible hit from Storm Éowyn. In a way, nationally, the country was very fortunate in that it did not come straight through the country. It veered northwest and the severity is the reason for the prolonged outage and the impact on the grid.

“We certainly have to evaluate the severity of this storm into the future.”

The Taoiseach was speaking as he turned the sod to formally mark GE HealthCare’s €132 million investment to expand its site in Carrigtwohill, Co Cork.

A new state-of-the-art facility on the grounds of the existing site will enable 25 million more patient doses per year of contrast media by the end of 2027.

Watching my girlfriend have sex with other men turns me on like nothing else

A shocked businessman walks in on a couple in bed.

DEAR DEIDRE: WATCHING my girlfriend have sex with other men turns me on like nothing else.

But even though being cuckolded makes me happy, I’m worried my fetish isn’t normal and might stop me having a healthy relationship.

I’m 31 and my girlfriend is 25. We’ve been together for 18 months.

A few months ago, I caught her cheating with a male friend. I was supposed to be on a lads’ night out, but came home early.

I let myself into her flat, hoping we could spend the night together, and found her in bed with this guy.

It was a nasty shock but, instead of being angry or upset, I realised I was excited.

She was deeply apologetic and begged me to forgive her, saying it was a mistake.

Weeks later, I confessed it had actually turned me on. I said if she wanted to see other men she could – as long as I could watch.

She was surprised but agreed, saying she wasn’t sure she was ready to be monogamous, but didn’t want to break up.

The first time she brought a guy home, she was nervous, but when she saw how turned on I was she soon let go and enjoyed herself.

Afterwards, we had the best sex of our relationship.

Since then, she’s brought several men back for sex.

However, I’ve started feeling anxious about what we’re doing. I don’t think it’s normal and I’m worried we’ll end up splitting.

I’m also concerned I might never be able to go back to a traditional relationship.

Should I be worried, or is it ok to have – and indulge – my cuckolding fetish?

MORE FROM DEAR DEIDRE

DEAR DEIDRE

My sex drive is high so I sleep with other men but now my man wants the same

DEIDRE'S STORIES

Ian turns up at the restaurant

DEIDRE SAYS: A cuckolding fetish is surprisingly common.

Many men tell me they fantasise about watching their partners have sex with other men, and some, like you, act out their fantasies.

My support pack, Fetish Worries, should help you understand more about why this turns you on so much.

There are, of course, risks involved, so you’re right to think carefully about what you’re doing.

Jealousy can be an issue, or insecurity. Safe sex is vital.

And if one of you wants to stop and the other doesn’t, this could be a problem.

So far, both you and your girlfriend are enjoying doing this. But perhaps you need to talk about your fears and discuss where to go from here.

It’s important to keep communicating and to respect each other’s boundaries.

Fortnite update v33.30 brings OG Chapter 1 Season 2 – and Godzilla is gone from Battle Royale

Fortnite Chapter 1 Season 2 characters and locations.

FORTNITE deployed its latest update v33.30 this morning, January 31, 2025, kicking off OG Chapter 1 Season 2.

The patch and new season bring a new OG Pass, skins, map changes and more, as well as tweaks to other Fortnite modes.

Godzilla will no longer appear in Battle Royale matches, as the latest patch also marks the beginning of the end of Chapter 6 Season 1 Demon Hunters.

Here’s everything you need to know about the new nostalgia-infused OG Season 2, and other changes and new content across Fortnite’s other modes.

Fortnite OG Pass rewards – OG Chapter 1 Season 2

As we already last week from the season’s teasers, the new OG Pass is bringing remixed versions of iconic Chapter 1 Season 2 skins.

New variants of the Black Knight, Cuddle Team Leader, and Sparkle Specialist are now available as OG Pass rewards.

The Sparkle Diva outfit is unlocked upon purchasing the new OG Pass, and you will get it instantly if you have an active Fortnite Crew subscription.

Another version, the Dancefloor Diva is waiting at level 15 of the OG Pass.

The other skins you can grab by levelling up are Cuddle Team Specialist, Polar Team Specialist, and remixed versions of Cuddle Team Leader, at levels 23 and 28, respectively.

The remixed Black Knight skins are Knight Conqueror unlocked at level 36, and Golden Conqueror, which you get if you level up out OG Pass to maximum.

Of course, the list of unlockable rewards includes plenty of cosmetics that go together with each outfit, plus each skin includes a Lego Fortnite minifigure version.

The OG Pass costs 1,000 V-Bucks to purchase, which is exactly $8.99 / £6.99 in real money, based on current prices.

Of course, the revamped Fortnite Crew subscription now includes all season passes, so if and while you’re subscribed, you get the OG Pass at no additional cost.

OG Chapter 1 Season 2 map changes and POIs

Of course, it wouldn’t be a nostalgic OG season if it didn’t add some iconic points of interest from Fortnite’s original Season 2.

As expected, update v33.30 brings back Tilted Towers, Junk Junction, Haunted Hills, Snobby Shores, and Shifty Shafts POIs.

OG Chapter 1 Season 2 weapons and gear

Update v33.30 is adding classic Chapter 1 Season 2 weapons and gear to the loot pool in OG mode.

Here are all the iconic items that will be added gradually throughout the new season:

  • Small Shield Potion
  • Multi-Surface Damage Trap
  • Boogie Bomb
  • Suppressed Pistol
  • Cozy Campfire
  • Chug Jug – can be used while moving
  • Minigun
  • Crossbow
  • Impulse Grenade

The Small Shield Potion and the Multi-Surface Damage Trap area already live in the game.

Godzilla is gone from Battle Royale matches

The latest update didn’t only bring changes to OG mode, and in Battle Royale mode, the Titan Takedown event is over.

This means that Godzilla is gone from Fortnite, and you will no longer get the chance to fight or become the kaiju during Battle Royale matches.

The change also marks the beginning of the end for Chapter 6 Season 1: Demon Hunters, which will be running until February 21, 2025.

Valentine’s Day content in Lego Brick Life

Fortnite is gearing up for Valentine’s Day already, and after update v33.30, you will find a flower shop in Lego Fortnite Brick Life’s city.

NPCs in Fortnite’s minifigure life-sim mode will also start giving you Valentine’s Day-related quests.

There will be themed daily activities, starting every day at 5pm Brick Bay Time, and will include Vampire Experiment, Litter Boxing, and A Race with Drift.

I can’t get over my ex-girlfriend’s comments about my penis size

Man adjusting his plaid pajama pants.
Cropped adult man peeking genital inside his sleeping pants

DEAR DEIDRE: AN ex-girlfriend told me my penis was so small she needed a magnifying glass to find it.

Her hurtful words have stayed with me, and now I’m struggling with my confidence in bed.

I’m a 27-year-old single guy.

I was with my ex, 25, for a year. She always made me feel I wasn’t good enough for her.

Our sex life was problematic, and the more I worried I wasn’t satisfying her, the worse it got. Sometimes, I struggled to get an erection.

We argued a lot and she was often mean – putting me down and insulting my appearance, like saying I needed to work out more.

But when she mocked the size of my penis, it cut deep.

We split a few months ago. Since then, I’ve been on dating sites, then chickened out of arranging dates.

I have no problem attracting women – people say I’m good-looking and a nice guy – but I’m anxious about having another relationship.

My ex’s words keep ringing in my ears and I’m worried a new girlfriend will laugh at my penis or that I won’t be able to perform.

I feel so insecure and don’t know how to overcome this.

DEIDRE'S STORIES

Ian turns up at the restaurant

DEIDRE SAYS: Being teased about your sexual prowess can have a lasting impact on confidence.

However, being a good lover has little to do with the size of your penis – which I would wager is perfectly normal.

Your cruel ex simply picked on the thing most likely to hurt a man.

Good sex is about good communication, listening and being considerate.

And most women reach orgasm through stimulation of the clitoris – manually or orally – rather than through intercourse alone.

Mikel Arteta issues worrying transfer update with Arsenal desperately scrambling after failed Ollie Watkins bid

MIKEL ARTETA says he cannot promise fans that Arsenal will sign a striker before the January deadline.

But the Gunners boss has assured them the club are “actively” working on bringing someone in, suggesting that age does NOT matter following their failed Ollie Watkins bid.

GIRONA, SPAIN - JANUARY 29: Mikel Arteta, Manager of Arsenal, looks on prior to the UEFA Champions League 2024/25 League Phase MD8 match between Girona FC and Arsenal FC at Montilivi Stadium on January 29, 2025 in Girona, Spain. (Photo by Alex Caparros - UEFA/UEFA via Getty Images)

The Gunners had a £60m bid for Ollie Watkins rejected

Aston Villa rejected an offer of around £60m for Watkins, 29, from Arsenal earlier this week, and are now unlikely to sell with the impending £64m departure of Jhon Duran, 21, to Saudi’s Al Nassr.

Arteta is desperate to bring in a forward before Monday’s deadline to bolster a squad that has suffered big injuries in attacking areas to the likes of Gabriel Jesus and Bukayo Saka.

But the Spaniard admitted: “We are trying everything that we can, but I don’t want to give any reassurance or not. It doesn’t depend only on us.

“We have the intention, the purpose and the ambition to try to help the team and support the squad to be better and to finish the season really, really strong. We are actively trying to do that.

“I’m very confident with the work that the club is doing, and exploring every single opportunity that we believe can have an impact on the team.

“If that’s the certainly the case and we can agree on something, we will, and if not, we won’t. I’m not going to talk about any individuals.”

Arsenal’s pursuit of Watkins has taken some by surprise given the player’s age and profile, with Arteta in the past opting to strengthen his squad with young talents with potential.

But Arteta explained: “We don’t really look at the market in those terms.

CASINO SPECIAL – BEST CASINO BONUSES FROM £10 DEPOSITS

“We look at what we have in this squad and what we are lacking and what can really impact.

“And bring something that potentially can make us much better, regardless of the age or sometimes the background that they have.

“It’s a real belief that that player can be really good for us over time.”

Jesus is fighting to be back in 2025 after undergoing surgery on an ACL rupture, while Saka is targeting a March comeback following a hamstring operation.

On if another injury or a negative result against Manchester City on Sunday could change their approach, Arteta added: “Hopefully not.

“But obviously if something happens that obviously is not planned, it would put the squad in a much dangerous position.

“It might do, you know, but [signing someone because of a defeat] no. That would mean that we haven’t planned anything and we’re just reacting to something last second, which is not good.”

There are also concerns over the fitness of No.1 David Raya, who missed the 2-1 Champions League victory at Girona on Wednesday night with a muscular issue.

Loanee Neto would be forced to step in to face City after only making his debut in Spain.

Arteta said: “We are still uncertain. We have another session so we have to wait and see.”

Arsenal ratings vs Girona as Neto has a shocker on debut but is rescued by wonderkid

NETO endured a nightmare Arsenal debut against Girona but had 17-year-old Ethan Nwaneri to thank for sparing his blushes.

SunSport’s Henry Tomlinson has provided his ratings for the Arsenal team…

Neto – 4

He made his long-awaited debut, having joined Arsenal on loan from Bournemouth last summer.

The goalkeeper got away with an early mistake and was caught out by former Spurs star Arnaut Danjuma.

Thomas Partey 45′ – 6

Too aggressive from the right-back spot and was beaten for pace by Danjuma as Girona opened the scoring.

Partey struggled with the winger for much of the game which gave the hosts an edge.

Managed to win a penalty to give Arsenal a route back into the game after a needless challenge but was hooked at half-time.

Jakub Kiwior – 6

The defender put in a decent shift at the back and was able to keep Abel Ruiz quiet for much of the match.

Gabriel Magalhaes – 6

Like Kiwior, Gabriel was fairly solid against Girona and dealt with most of the danger from the hosts.

Riccardo Calafiori 69′ – 6

Thought he scored the opener but was a good foot offside.

Continued to be positive up the wing and helped the Gunners up the pitch.

Mikel Merino – 6

Merino was fine against Girona. It was not a performance that will grab headlines but did what he needed to do in midfield.

Jorginho 80′ – 7

It’s been a while, but the Italian was back on the scoresheet after converting from the spot in the 38th minute.

The midfielder was composed on the ball and helped recycle the ball and control possession.

Martin Odegaard – 6

It was a quiet night for the Gunners captain as he helped the team maintain the ball but lacked that creative spark.

Raheem Sterling – 4

Struggled to make a big impact in the first half and was the weakest of all of the Gunners’ frontline.

To make matters worse, he was booked for diving in the 70th minute.

And just as he though it couldn’t get even worse, he missed a penalty late on.

Leandro Trossard 69′ – 6

Should have given Arsenal the lead early on but was unable to deflect the ball goalwards.

Continued to prob and rattled the crossbar before the break with a powerful effort.

Ethan Nwaneri 85′ – 8

The youngster showed why he is one of the most promising players at the club with a wonder strike in the first half.

He wrapped a curling effort into the top corner before half-time on his first Champions League start.

His goal saw him become the second youngest English goalscorer in the history of thre Champions League.

SUBS

Jurrien Timber 45′ – 6

Added some energy down the left-hand side after replacing Partey at half-time.

Kai Havertz 69′ – 6

Got involved in the attack but struggled to find a clear scoring chance,

Myles Lewis-Skelly 69′ – 6

Another comfortable outing for the impressive youngster.

Declan Rice 80′ – 6

Came on in the final stages to help solidify the defence for the Gunners and put in some dangerous corners.

He did pick up a booking late on.

Gabriel Martinelli 85′ – N/A

Replaced Nwaneri late on and looked dangerous on the wing for the final minutes.
