Celebrity Hunted star reveals abusive relationship saying strangers would stop her in street and beg her to leave him

CELEBRITY Hunted star Chloe Veitch has revealed her abusive relationship with an ex, saying strangers would stop her in the street and beg her to leave him.

Chloe, 25, who competed on the Channel 4 show in 2018, spoke candidly about her experience, shedding light on the toxic dynamic she once found herself trapped in.

Ensuring to keep the person’s identity private, she told Harry Jowsey on his Boyfriend Material podcast, she said: “Towards the end of the relationship, it would be full-blown arguments.

“It got physical, like in front of people, to the point where people would run up to me in the street crying and say, like, ‘Why are you with this guy?’ And I’m like, ‘But I love him.'”

She admitted that she hadn’t anticipated she would find herself in such a situation, saying: “I never thought I would be that girl. But it didn’t just happen overnight. It was the small red flags that turn into that end result.”

Chloe hopes that sharing her story can serve as a warning to others who might find themselves in similar positions.

She continued: “So I think if there’s anyone that’s listening that can learn from this experience, this isn’t just a moment for me to gossip. This is genuine realisation of me, understanding like this isn’t acceptable at all, at any part.”

The Too Hot To Handle alum urged others to recognise warning signs in their own relationships, saying, “It doesn’t have to be he raises his hand for you to leave. You should be aware of the signs because you can see them.”

Chloe has also been grieving the sudden loss of her close friend, RuPaul’s Drag Race UK winner The Vivienne, real name James Lee Williams, who passed away aged 32.

The pair starred together on Celebrity Hunted in 2022 and remained close friends.

Chloe recently shared her heartbreak on Instagram, posting a screenshot of their final messages on WhatsApp.

In the exchange, James had invited her to visit, writing: “Come and stay for a few days when you can.”

Chloe replied: “Yeah, that sounds good. I’m not doing anything next weekend. I wanna come see you.”

James explained: “I’m not free until the 5th then have a week off. Just got home xxx.”

Chloe responded: “OK babe, I’ll come see you for a couple of nights after the 5th.”

Captioning the screenshot, Chloe wrote: “I’m gonna miss you so much, James.”

She also shared a touching photo of the pair, adding: “You were the light in everyone’s life,” alongside a clip of their time on Celebrity Hunted.

Chloe included a poignant quote in her tribute: “If you have the chance to make people happy, just do it. Sometimes people are struggling silently. Maybe your act of kindness can make their day.”

James’ publicist, Simon Jones, confirmed the tragic news last month, saying: “It is with immense sadness that we announce our beloved James Lee Williams – The Vivienne – passed away suddenly this weekend.

“James was an incredibly loved, warm-hearted, and amazing person. Their family is heartbroken by the loss of their son, brother, and uncle.

“They are so proud of the wonderful things James achieved in their life and career.”

HOW YOU CAN GET HELP:

Women's Aid has this advice for victims and their families:

  • Always keep your phone nearby.
  • Get in touch with charities for help, including the Women’s Aid live chat helpline and services such as SupportLine.
  • If you are in danger, call 999.
  • Familiarise yourself with the Silent Solution, reporting abuse without speaking down the phone, instead dialing “55”.
  • Always keep some money on you, including change for a pay phone or bus fare.
  • If you suspect your partner is about to attack you, try to go to a lower-risk area of the house – for example, where there is a way out and access to a telephone.
  • Avoid the kitchen and garage, where there are likely to be knives or other weapons. Avoid rooms where you might become trapped, such as the bathroom, or where you might be shut into a cupboard or other small space.

If you are a victim of domestic abuse, SupportLine is open Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 6pm to 8pm on 01708 765200. The charity’s email support service is open weekdays and weekends during the crisis – messageinfo@supportline.org.uk.

Women’s Aid provides a live chat service – available weekdays from 8am-6pm and weekends 10am-6pm.

You can also call the freephone 24-hour National Domestic Abuse Helpline on 0808 2000 247.

Derby, Luton and Swansea are willing to offer more but he is after a club with a play-off   chance.

O’Brien signed for Forest from Huddersfield following their promotion to the Premier League in 2022.

He has since made just 17 appearances for them and has been farmed out on three separate loans.

The Essex-born ace first headed to the US for a stint with D.C. United in 2023.

He then played 25 times for Middlesbrough during a return to the Championship last season.

After featuring for Forest in pre-season, O’Brien returned to America for a spell with Los Angeles FC last July.

The deal included an option to buy, which was not taken up by the MLS side.

In total he played 18 times for LAFC before returning to Forest.

With Nuno Espirito Santo‘s side flying high in the Premier League, O’Brien is still not part of their plans.

So he is likely to head out on loan again before tomorrow’s transfer deadline.

Bohemians’ Adam McDonnell gives blunt insight into squad’s mindset after being ‘soft’ last season

ADAM McDONNELL insists Bohemians boss Alan Reynolds held no inquest into the Gypsies’ eighth-place finish last season.

The midfielder simply states that it was not needed.

Games to be shown live on Virgin Media Play and Virgin Media Two: Shelbourne vs Derry City on Friday, February 14th, Bohemian FC vs Shamrock Rovers on Sunday, February 16th, Galway United vs St Patrick’s Athletic on Friday, February 21st, Shelbourne vs Shamrock Rovers on Friday, February 28th, Waterford vs Cork City on Monday, March 3rd. He said: “I don’t think that we need the staff to tell us last year wasn’t good enough. All the players know that.

“We were soft in both boxes — not just defenders and attackers but midfielders included, not chipping in with the goals.

“Since Rennie came in last April, from box-to-box we’re one of the best teams in the league if you were watching it.

“But it doesn’t mean anything if you’re losing or not winning your games.

“After every game last year it just felt like we were battering teams up to the 35th minute and they’d get their first chance and it was like, ‘Here we go again’.

“Trying to change that in that moment is hard. That’s why we’ve been in early pre-season and we’ve been working on it.

“We know we were playing well but we weren’t finishing off games.

“We were letting opponents get a chance. It’s hard then to get back.

“We have to be a lot better than last year. We can’t let it happen again.”

It is why the hard work was done — and done early this pre-season — with Bohemians back in training since December 1.

Crucially, a lot of their close-season business was completed by then with Colm Whelan, who has been injured in pre-season, John Mountney and Niall Morahan signed in November.

As well as that, the players who are returning from absences — captain Keith Buckley, Rob Cornwall and goalkeeper James Talbot — are as good as new signings.

McDonnell added: “They were big losses in the dressing room, experience and vocal. And JT coming back fit too . . . he’s flying in pre-season.

“It’s like three signings. It’s good to have them back.”

DUBLIN’S FINEST

McDonnell knows the time for talking will soon be over and it will be about proving it out on the pitch.

The first target is to ensure Bohemians are not the fourth-best Dublin team in the Premier Division.

Shelbourne, Shamrock Rovers and St Patrick’s Athletic were last season’s top three so if the Gypsies achieve that goal, they will likely be title contenders.

McDonnell said: “We saw last season what we could have been, the fine margins, what we could be better at.

“The club shouldn’t have finished where they have the last two years.

“It hasn’t been good enough on the pitch. This year is about stopping the excuses and doing it properly.”

And McDonnell admitted that they could not ask for a better start than a big Dublin derby with Shamrock Rovers at the Aviva Stadium.

The clash will likely set a League of Ireland attendance record, with 20,000 tickets sold two weeks from the big kick-off.

McDonnell said: “It’s a big day to make a statement. It’s the first league game, it won’t make or break the season.

“But it’s about going out, enjoying it and not being crowded out by it.”
