SQUID Game actress Lee Joo-shil has died at the age of 81.
The Netflix star was diagnosed with stomach cancer three months ago.
Lee played Park Mal Soon, the mum of Hwang Jun-ho, in the second season of Squif Game.
She died today at her family home in the South Korean city of Uijeongbu
Lee got her start in the industry as a stage actress, and became renowned in South Korea’s theatre scene.

A LOVE Island star has been involved in a terrifying collision with a double decker bus.
Shaughna Phillips has revealed how she was travelling with her one-year-old daughter when her car crashed into a London bus.
In an Instagram post, the mum said: “Was involved in a minor crash last night with a bus.
“Could have been so much worse, and with Lucia in the car which was the scariest part!
“A bit sore today but I’ll take that any day. Always wear your seatbelts.”
The 30-year-old TV personality appeared in season six of the revived show.
Entering the villa on day one, she was dumped from the island on day 33.
It comes nearly a year after the reality star witnessed a fatal accident.
She wrote on social media: “Have just seen that a man in his 30’s died at the scene of that crash. Have not stopped thinking about it all day, tomorrow really is not promised.”
“Sending so much love to the poor family and anyone who witnessed that this morning.”
THE humiliated former wife of shamed Rugby League star Joe Westerman has found love with a new man.
The England international, 34, was caught on camera performing a sex act behind a Greggs bakery – before being dumped by ex Lauren Boyd, also 34.
Westerman was also axed from Castleford Tigers’ line-up.
But Lauren has now rebuilt her life after the public betrayal, with the raunchy footage – believed to also involve a pal of hers – having gone viral in early 2023.
She is currently dating trucker Karl Holmes, who also plays rugby, reports MailOnline.
The HGV recovery driver has described his girlfriend as his “rock” in Facebook posts.
It comes after Westerman was revealed last month to have got engaged to lover estate agent Alison Hopkins after they began dating in late 2023.
Lauren and Karl went public with their romance in August 2023.
Commenting on a photo, Karl’s sister Dawn said: “A better year for you too Lauren Boyd as you have gone through hell as well…. fate has brought you together. So glad you found each other.”
Lauren was forced to furiously defend herself and deny she was the woman in the sex act clip at the time it emerged.
And, she hit back against trolls who said her 15-year-old daughter would have “seen much worse” than the X-rated clip.
The distraught mum-of-three fumed: “I don’t even have words to reply to your comment apart from I’m worried at what things you watch if you think there are worse things than this for a child to see on social media of her dad.”
In a statement she penned: “Can I make this VERY clear that this is NOT me.
“We have three children one of whom is almost 15 and she doesn’t need to see things like this all over social media!”
She previously told The Sun she had been sent the video before it was posted online.
“Truth is, he only told me because it was on social media,” she said.
“But I’m glad it was found because the thought of kissing him after that just makes me feel sick.”
The disgusted mum said: “I’ve relived that footage over and over again.
“It’s something I’ll never be able to get out of my mind, no matter how hard I try.”
But Westerman grovelled and sent text messages begging for his wife back: “Words will never ever explain how sorry I am.
“I can’t explain what happened cos I physically can’t remember.
“It’s disgusting and I now have to live with it forever.
“Losing you and the kids is heartbreaking Lauren, you deserve so much better.”
Another message read: “You always said alcohol would f*** me up.”
More followed, including: “I need you to know I can’t remember anything about that night. I look like a zombie.”
Westerman was also forced to issue a statement after his bombshell affair was exposed.
The 6ft 4ins Yorkshireman wrote an apology to family, friends, the club and to rugby league for his behaviour following a 15-hour booze fuelled bender.
It read: “Firstly, I would like to take this opportunity to wholeheartedly apologise to my family and friends for my actions.
“I’d also like to apologise to the supporters, sponsors, staff, and directors of Castleford Tigers as well as my teammates.
“I’d like to extend this apology to the game of rugby league, and I have realised that I need to work on my decision-making around alcohol.”
Westerman, who made his breakthrough in 2007 with Castleford, spent spells with Hull, Warrington, Toronto and Wakefield before returning to his first club in 2022.
