‘Depraved’ Irish sex tourist arrested abroad after allegedly caught ‘red-handed’ in hotel with girl, 15, he offered €37

A SUSPECTED Irish sex tourist has been arrested in Colombia after allegedly being caught in a hotel room with a young girl who said he had offered her €37 for sex.

Cops released footage of the moment they nicked the Dubliner, in his 40s, and escorted him to a police van in handcuffs.

Officers said they nabbed the suspect “red-handed” at the unnamed hotel in a neighbourhood of Colombia’s second-largest city, Medellin.

He is thought not to have started to engage in sexual intercourse with the 15-year-old minor when he was caught.

The 34-year-old hotel manager was also arrested in the police swoop.

Both men were remanded to a local jail following a court appearance.

William Castano Ramos, head of Valle de Aburra’s Metropolitan Police which made the arrests, said: “An Irish citizen has been captured for the sexual exploitation of a minor under the age of 18 in the centre of Medellin.

“A minor aged 15 was found inside one of the rooms at a hotel with a foreigner during checks at the establishment.

“The teenager said this man had offered her 160,000 Colombian pesos (€37) in exchange for a sexual encounter with her.

“As well as the arrest of this man from Dublin in Ireland, we also handed over the hotel administrator to the courts for promoting prostitution.”

The alleged paedophile is said to have handed the girl half the cash he’d promised before he was lifted.

Medellin mayor Federico Gutierrez called the suspect a “depraved person” in an explosive attack on social media on Friday, hours after the arrest is believed to have taken place.

Mr Gutierrez said: “We do not stop the fight against sexual exploitation of children and adolescents in Medellin. Zero tolerance.

“Thanks to a citizen complaint and the timely and coordinated work between police and public prosecutors, it was possible to identify a foreign citizen who entered a hotel in the centre of the city in the company of a minor.

“This person was arrested for the crime of demanding the sexual exploitation of a minor under the age of 18 and the hotel manager for the crime of promoting prostitution.

“The Irish national, from Dublin, had arrived in Colombia and had arranged to have a sexual encounter with the 15-year-old for a payment of Pesos Colombian 160,000. He had already paid her half of that.”

CLEAR MESSAGE

Mr Gutierrez warned other men against planning to practise sex tourism in Medellin.

He said “The message is very clear — those who come to exploit our children and women are not only not welcome but we will pursue them until they are caught. These depraved people will continue to fall.”

Last April, Gutierrez banned adverts offering sexual services and forced bars in the area to shut at 1am.

He acted after a 36-year-old American man was discovered in a hotel with two girls aged 12 and 13. The suspect left the country before he could be formally arrested.

DEPORTATION ROW

Colombia’s president Gustavo Petro took to X to say his government would ask the US to “extradite the Medellin hotel paedophile”.

Petro’s daughter also got involved in her dad’s row with Donald Trump by urging him to deport Americans caught sexually abusing children.

Andrea Petro, 33, waded into the diplomatic war after her father caved into the US President’s tariff threat following Colombia’s initial refusal to accept flights with deported migrants on them.

Last April, an alleged British paedo was arrested in Colombia alongside a Venezuelan woman accused of pimping out her 14-year-old daughter to foreigners in a case cops called “perverse”.

However, as Chris and Robin kicked off their performance to the Pokemon theme tune they suffered a fall.

The 34-year-old appeared to misstep sending both him and Robin crashing to the ice.

Determined to continue with the routine, the pair picked themselves back up and carried on like pros.

After the performance, Chris insisted to hosts Holly Willoughby and Stephen Mulhern it was a mistake and nothing to do with his new partner.

Meanwhile, confirming her exit from Dancing On Ice, Vanessa Bauer told fans: “I’m here today with rather upsetting news.

“I am unfortunately not going to be able to continue on Dancing on Ice with Chris.

“That’s really upsetting for me. I have trained Chris since October last year and it is always such an amazing achievement for myself to see someone else progress so much in a skill they’ve never done before.

“So it’s been really rewarding for me to watch this whole journey for Chris [and] the way he’s got better week since October and also since the live shows started.”

She then went on to explain what had happened and how she was having to put her health first.

Vanessa said: “I unfortunately had a little accident backstage last week on Dancing on Ice just before the live show on Sunday.

“And I didn’t realise how bad it was then, but we did an MRI and it turned out that I have a completely torn ligament, grade three sprain injury and a major grade two sprain injury.”

Dancing On Ice continues on ITV1 and ITVX.

Charlotte Tilbury, 51, shares her exact method for a youthful face with foundation & it WON’T crease in your fine lines

WHEN it comes to skin foundation, you never want it to look cakey and dry.

Thankfully beauty mogul Charlotte Tilbury has revealed exactly how to avoid the issue and also how to prevent it building up in fine lines.

You can avoid cakey foundation by properly moisturising skin[/caption]

On her website, the make-up artist, 51, stated: “Caked-on complexion makeup is never a good look.

“Fortunately, there are many ways to fix cakey-looking makeup without having to restart your application process from scratch.

“Usually, cakey-looking makeup is caused by using the wrong product for your skin type, dry skin that hasn’t been properly moisturised or prepped, not applying your makeup products in the correct order or applying too much product.

“To avoid this, always apply your makeup products in the correct order to clean and hydrated skin and leave a minute or two between each application to allow your skin to properly absorb the benefits of each product.

“Additionally, never skip on primer.

“Charlotte’s primers will help you achieve a smooth-looking base to avoid that cakey foundation finish. Finally, when it comes to applying your foundation, blend in small amounts of the product at a time to avoid that unflattering, over-applied look.”

The make-up pro shared a number of tips for fixing a cakey make-up look at home.

Charlotte advised using a make-up brush to blend out your product from the centre, outwards.

She explained that this “ gently manipulates your foundation to erase any harsh lines. Just magic!”

Her second tip is to spritz using a face mist.

She wrote that you can use an oil-free and lightweight setting spray to refresh the skin and melt away “powdery patches”.

Thirdly, you can “loosen” foundation if it’s already on and looking cakey by exposing your skin to steam in the room, e.g. by putting a hot shower on in the bathroom.

She added: “Alternatively, boil a small pot of water, wafting the steam towards your face to loosen any signs of cakiness.”

Firm foundation

Finally, she advised that you ensure you are wearing the right foundation for your skin type.

She explained: “If you’re using the wrong formula for your skin type or desired look, you may experience an unflattering finish.

“Be sure to discover your skin type for better beauty results and then, discover Charlotte’s wardrobe of foundations to find the best one for you.

“If your skin is dry, you’ll want to avoid powders that will highlight any dry patches.

“And if the foundation feels too heavy on your face, switch to a more lightweight option.”

‘Aura’ – Fans convinced Gabriel told Haaland ‘go fetch my boot’ as heated rivalry hits new peak in Arsenal vs Man City

FANS reckoned Gabriel told Erling Haaland to “fetch my boot” as their rivalry hit new levels.

The pair famously clashed at the Etihad earlier in the season when Haaland threw the ball at Gabriel’s head following John Stones’ dramatic equaliser.

The Norwegian striker then told Mikel Arteta to “stay humble” in the aftermath of the controversial 2-2 draw.

Neither Gabriel nor Haaland was backing down in the latest instalment of this bitter feud as Arsenal ran riot with a thumping 5-1 victory over Manchester City.

And it was the Arsenal man who had viewers in stitches with his antics late on at the Emirates.

Following their latest tussle, the Brazilian defender ended up on the deck missing his right boot.

As Haaland walked off, he grabbed the City striker’s shorts and then pointed at his point.

While it seems he was simply pointing out that Haaland had knocked his boot off in the challenge, plenty of Arsenal supporters were convinced he was ordering Haaland to go and get it for him.

One said: “Gabriel telling Haaland to go fetch his boot is all the ‘stay humble’ aura we need.”

Another wrote: “Oi little bro, go fetch my boot like a good boy.”

A third added: “Gabriel told him to grab his boot for him on live TV in front of the world.”

A fourth commented: “Gabriel telling Haaland to go pick his boot has to be the funniest thing ever. Stay humble eh.”

A fifth replied: “He’s fully rattled.”

And a final user quipped: “Gabriel asking Haaland to pass him in his boot after mugging him off. I’m afraid there’s simply no other option but for Haaland to retire now.”

Gabriel was relishing his chance to have another go at Haaland.

And he did not have to wait long to get his first pop in.

With less than two minutes on the clock, Arsenal capitalised on a defensive error and Martin Odegaard slotted home.

Gabriel screamed in Haaland’s face in the centre circle – Martin Keown vs Ruud van Nistelrooy style – as he ran past to join in the team celebrations.

Haaland got in the next blow by rising above Gabriel’s centre-back partner William Saliba to thunder in a powerful header for the equaliser.

But as Arsenal took control of the game, Myles Lewis-Skelly joined in the digs at Haaland by brilliantly copying his trademark ‘meditating’ celebration when he made it 3-1.

Then when Ethan Nwaneri curled home a beauty with the final kick of the game to wrap up the 5-1 thumping, Gabriel sarcastically and pointedly clapped right in front of Haaland.

The City star refused to bite despite his frustrations and calmly smirked and pointed to the golden Premier League badge on his sleeve – reminding his foe of their respective recent silverware.

Gabriel, meanwhile, got into an animated argument with Matheus Nunes as the tempers continued to sizzle away after the full-time whistle once again.

Haaland’s dad even got involved in his son’s battle, sharing a post from Arsenal of the Gunners stars enjoying Lewis-Skelly’s celebration captioned “this team” by writing: “‘This Team’ that wins everything. Ehhhhh, not.”

But in the end, it was the centre-back who enjoyed the last laugh with an emphatic demolition job of the crumbling, catastrophic champions.
