Shock moment bodybuilder influencer climbs into plane’s ENGINE to flex muscles and do push-ups in hugely dangerous stunt

A BODYBUILDER has defended his actions after climbing into a moving plane engine to do push-ups for a viral video.

Preslie Ginoski, a fitness influencer, filmed himself jumping up into the engine at Sydney Airport.

Ginoski has attempted to defend his actions, revealing that he used to work at the airport[/caption]

He told viewers he was doing a “quick pump before flight” as he started doing press-ups before flexing his biceps.

The shirtless 23-year-old seemed unfazed by the moving propellers behind him as the commercial jet sat on the tarmac.

The dangerous stunt, filmed last year but posted to social media over the weekend, sparked huge backlash from viewers and the airport.

A spokeswoman for Sydney Airport told Daily Mail Australia: “Sydney Airport has zero tolerance for unsafe behaviour on the airfield, and we take all reports of potential safety breaches extremely seriously.”

However, the Sydney-based DJ has defended his actions saying he just wanted to entertain people.

“I just wanted people to get a laugh about it,” he said.

“Like it’s as if I’ve just got off the plane and I’m going to work out.”

He claimed the stunt had not taken place near other passengers or with a running aircraft.

“The plane was parked on a bay and wasn’t moving until the next day,” the influencer said, adding that he made sure it was safe.

Ginoski filmed the video in June last year while working at the airport.

He claimed that the wind had moved the propellers and that “it’s very common for people to sit inside a jet engine.”

“A lot of people have missed the fact that it was totally safe,” he said.

“Flight attendants and pilots always sit in the engines, it’s just because they’re taking photos that the turbines look stable.

“But it’s very common for people to sit inside the jet engine if it is cleared and safe to do so.”

Ginoski no longer works at the airport and decided to share the video on TikTok.

However, the clip which was viewed over two million times has since been removed after the platform said that it violated community guidelines.

Jet engines have a hugely powerful suction force that is used to draw large amounts of air into the engine to create thrust.

It is so powerful that when engine is running, the suction can pull in a human who is just a few meters in front of the wing.

After the video went viral, viewers were less than impressed with the stunt while others questioned airport security before knowing that he worked there.

One said on Facebook: “Stupid move it wouldn’t take much for that engine to turn him into mince meat.”

“The moment where starting the engine would also become quite famous on TikTok….” another wrote.

“How dumb can a person be to try a stunt that dangerous & how was he able to get that far?” a third added.

Another influencer has spoken out after she burnt the skin off her face while trying a sun bed ‘hack’.

Who is Barbie Hsu’s husband DJ Koo?

KOO Jun-Yup, AKA DJ Koo, is a South Korean musician who rocketed to fame in the 1990s.

He married Meteor Garden star Barbie Hsu in 2022, but she sadly passed away just three years later in 2025.

Koo’s rise to fame

Koo was born in Seoul, South Korea, on September 11, 1969.

He grew up alongside his older sister Koo Eun-Yeong.

While at school, Koo came in fourth at a dance competition which led to him being signed by SM Entertainment.

He became a backing dancer for Lee Soo-man, before staring his mandatory military service.

Koo then formed a band named Tak and Jun with singer Lee Tak in 1993 but the duo disbanded shortly after.

In 1996, he formed the dance music duo CLON alongside Kang Won-rae.

Their first album Are You Ready? sold 1.12 million copies in South Korea and kickstarted Koo’s incredible career.

In 1998, he was named Taiwan’s Sexiest Man and was awarded the title again a year later.

Clon released several albums during the 1990s, with their fourth effort New World selling over a million copies.

However, in 2000, Koo’s bandmate Kang was paralysed in a tragic motorcycle accident.

Although Koo was encouraged to go solo, he took a break from music to care for his friend until Kang could sit in a wheelchair by himself.

Becoming DJ Koo

Koo eventually did launch a solo career, becoming one of South Korea’s biggest stars.

However, he continued to work with Kang and even released a full-length album with him in 2005 entitled Victory.

The musician choreographed a wheelchair dance for Kang, which was nominated for Best Dance Performance at the 2005 Mnet Asian Music Awards.

In 2006, Koo performed at a club in Gangnam and declared that he would be known as DJ Koo in future.

He has since been part of a movement to popularise EDM in South Korea.

A long engagement

In 1997, Koo met Taiwanese superstar Barbie Hsu but lost contact with her until they met again a year later.

Although they fell in love immediately, their relationship lasted only a year due to opposition from Koo’s management.

K-Pop is infamous for its “dating bans”, which force stars to forgo romantic relationships.

Years later, on March 8, 2022, Koo announced on Instagram that he had married Barbie.

He said: “To have such a destiny with the woman I fell in love with more than 20 years ago – this is a love we both want to cherish and continue.

“When I heard about her divorce, I searched for her number from 20 years ago and contacted her.

“Fortunately, her number was still the same, so we were able to reconnect.

“We have lost too much time together, so I suggested that we get married and she said yes.

“We will be living together after registering our marriage.

“Since I got married late, I really hope for your support and blessings.

“Thank you all.”

The pair married in Seoul and had wedding ring tattoos inked on their ring fingers.

Sadly, Barbie passed away on February 2, 2025, in Japan.

Her sister, Dee Hsu, who had been one half of a pop duo alongside her sister, confirmed Barbie’s death on Taiwan’s TVBS News.

She said: “During the Lunar New Year, our family came to Japan for vacation.

“My dearest sister Barbie has unfortunately left us after getting pneumonia, triggered by influenza.”

CHARLIE Brookes’ daughter Kiki sobbed in the audience after the EastEnders legend’s emotional Dancing On Ice routine last night.

Charlie and Eric skated to Adele’s hit Someone Like You in shimmering black outfits.

Judges Oti Mabuse and Jayne Torvill awarded the pair 8 points each, while Ashley Banjo and Christopher Dean gave 7.5.

The beautiful skate was hailed “Charlie’s breakthrough dance” after she managed to twists and turns on her own and a number of stunning lifts.

Writing on X, one viewer said: “All she needs to do now going forward is continue to push and believe in herself then she’ll improve even more and the marks will be higher!”

Charlie’s daughter was mesmerised and was spotted breaking down in floods of tears as another audiene member gave her a hug.

Charlie and her ex fiancé Tony – a nightclub owner – welcomed Kiki into the world in 2004.

The couple split two years after their daughter’s birth but always remained really close.

Last year, Charlie revealed that Tony even lived in a flat above her house and that they had spent Christmas Day together as a happy family – along with Charlie’s then-boyfriend Ben Hollington.

Charlie and Ben split in 2018, and before Christmas she went public with her new man.

Other celebs gracing the ice rink this week included Coronation Street’s Sam Aston, who is a frontrunner to win this series, footballer Anton Ferdinand, TV presenter Michaela Strachan and Olympian Sir Steve Redgrave.

Retired rower Steve, 62, was the latest celebrity to be voted off Dancing on Ice after receiving the lowest scores from the judges and the least votes from the public.

But during last night’s live show Holly Willoughby, 43, told the line-up that they could have to battle it out to stay in the competition from next weekend.

She said: “Listen, this is very important – I have an announcement to make.

“Next week things are going to change somewhat because the skate-off is back. That does change everything.”

After the skate-off was initially axed viewers insisted the end of the show felt “rushed”.

STAR QUITS

It was a dramatic weekend for Dancing On Ice, with professional skater Vanessa Bauer being forced to quit the show due to injury.

Vanessa, 28 – who was partnered with Love Island’s Chris Taylor – told fans: “I’m here today with rather upsetting news. I am unfortunately not going to be able to continue on Dancing on Ice with Chris.

“I unfortunately had a little accident backstage last week on Dancing on Ice just before the live show on Sunday.

“And I didn’t realise how bad it was then, but we did an MRI and it turned out that I have a completely torn ligament, grade three sprain injury and a major grade two sprain injury.”

Armagh maintain perfect start to Lidl NFL Division 1 with impressive win over Tyrone as Dublin upset by Kildare

ARMAGH joint-manager Joe Feeney was delighted to see his side shut up shop in the Ulster derby.

The Lidl NFL Division 1 champions maintained their winning start to the league with a 0-16 to 0-5 win over TYRONE.

The Orchard held the Red Hands scoreless after the break as they took control with an impressive display.

Feeney said: “We were a wee bit flat in the first half, but we were very composed at half-time.

“We were creating chances in the first half, but we just weren’t scoring them.

“We were a wee bit sloppy in our play but we were neat and tidier in the final third in the second half and we took our scores.”

Tyrone were 0-4 to 0-1 ahead after 17 minutes but Armagh finished the half strongly and the sides were tied at 0-5 each at the break.

Armagh took control and dominated the game after the restart, hitting 0-11 without reply.

Tyrone chief Darren McCann said his side can take a lot from the performance despite the fade-out.

He said: “It was a game of two halves where they took their chances but we’d a massive effort from our girls and we have a lot of positives that we can take.

“They had a ten-minute period when we were down to 14 players and they tagged on five or six points.

“Armagh put a serious press on in the second half and we found it difficult to get out.”

KILDARE came out on top in a Leinster derby when they beat DUBLIN by 1-8 to 0-8 at Manguard Park to secure their first win of the campaign.

Lilywhites captain Laoise Lenehan praised her side for the way they dealt with a Sky Blue onslaught to hold out for victory.

She said: “I was very happy with how we dug in as a team, especially when the pressure came on late in the game.

“We remained calm despite Dublin closing the gap to one. I felt it was a compliment to Kildare that Carla Rowe and Kate Sullivan had to come in.”

Forward Jodi Egan hopes Dublin can get back to winning ways next weekend when they take on Armagh.

She said: “I was impressed with Kildare’s defensive structure and their pace on the break.

“I am happy we have another chance against Armagh next week to get back to winning ways.

“I found the conditions tricky, we should have adapted better.”

The key score came on ten minutes when Alannah Prizeman got the only goal to help Kildare into a 1-5 to 0-7 interval lead.

Dublin, hoping to build on their opening win over Mayo, battled back after the restart but Kildare were not to be denied.

GOING GAL THE WAY

In Division 2, promotion favourites GALWAY and CORK went head to head in Tuam, and it was the home side who came out on top by 2-8 to 0-12.

Leanne Coen and Róisín Leonard got the goals for Galway, while Katie Quirke landed 0-9 for Cork in a battle between the sides who were relegated from the top flight last year.

Elsewhere in the second tier yesterday, there were victories for ROSCOMMON and MONAGHAN, while WESTMEATH and DONEGAL played out a draw.

Two goals from Aishling Hanly and one from Laura Mannion helped Roscommon to a 3-13 to 0-8 win over CLARE.

A late Emma Morrissey goal was not enough to save TIPPERARY as Éabha Sherry’s late point gave Monaghan a 0-10 to 1-6 win.

Donegal led Westmeath by 0-4 to 0-1 at the interval but a goal from Anna Jones got the Lakes County back in contention in a game which finished 1-6 to 0-9.

Today, Meath take on Mayo and Waterford host Kerry in Division 1.
