A GOLF marshal stumbled to the ground in worrying scenes after being hit by a Shane Lowry drive.
The Irish golfer was teeing it up at Pebble Beach this weekend in the AT&T Pro-Am.
He was in the final pairing alongside compatriot and close pal Rory McIlroy in California after both men hit holes-in-one this week.
But things took a nasty turn on the par-four 15th hole during the final round on Sunday.
Ryder Cup hero Lowry, 37, sliced his wayward tee shot with the driver.
As it curved out to the right, the ball cannoned directly off the head of an unsuspecting marshal standing in the rough.
The course attendant immediately clutched their head and doubled over.
They then fell to the turf in clear agony after the horror hit.
Commentator Andrew Coltart criticised Lowry for seemingly failing to warn the marshal.
Coltart said on Sky Sports: “Oh dear.

“Didn’t hear him shout ‘fore’. We need to be hearing players shout ‘fore’.”
Reports on social media suggested the volunteer was not badly hurt and was “doing fine”.
It was also claimed Pebble Beach gave him a free weekend stay at the resort with three free rounds of golf for him and three friends as a classy gesture of goodwill.
Lowry salvaged a par and added birdies on the 16th and 18th to shoot a four-under-par 68 and finish the famous tournament at the iconic course on -19.
McIlroy, however, held off his mate’s challenge to win by two strokes.
It was the first Pebble Beach title for the world No3, 35, who celebrated by Facetiming his wife Erica and daughter Poppy, four – who was more interested in her bubble bath.
Justin Rose finished T3 with Lucas Glover on an impressive weekend in the PGA Tour event for the Europeans.
Scottie Scheffler was six shots adrift on -15 in T9 as he kickstarted his 2025 season following hand surgery from a freak Christmas injury.
BURNLEY have announced their latest signing with an iconic clip from TV show Friends.
The Clarets have become masters of transfer announcements in recent years and the media team has produced a stroke of genius.
Burnley announced the addition of former Tottenham star Marcus Edwards from Sporting Lisbon.
The winger has joined on loan until the end of the season and the Championship side took advantage of the fact they were signing a player from abroad.
Burnley pinched an iconic clip from the last episode of Friends where Ross listens to a voicemail on his answering machine from Rachel – only instead of Jennifer Anniston’s voice it played lines from club chiefs including chairman Alan Pace.
It begins with bad news for Ross listening in, whose lines sync perfectly with the comments from the Burnley bosses.
The video ends with Ross asking: “Did you get off the plane?” to the potential signing.
He then turns around to see newboy Edwards standing in his apartment rather than Rachel, with the winger saying: “I got off the plane” before saluting Ross.
Audience applause is heard in the background as Edwards says: “Up the Clarets.”
After putting pen to paper, the 26-year-old said: “It feels amazing. Burnley is like a Premier League club. I’m really happy to be here.

“I know Scott from my time at Spurs. I know what he’s like. He’s ambitious, he’s driven. We had a good relationship back then so when I knew he wanted me to come that was enough for me.
“From knowing what he’s like and how he is and the fact that Burnley is such a big club in general. It made sense.
“The main thing now is to get promoted back to the Premier League. I’m coming here to try and get myself into the team. I hope we can make it over the line this season and I hope Burnley fans will enjoy watching me play too.”
Fans loved the announcement with one saying: “Nah they’ve gone and done it again”
Another added: “Absolutely incredible. Bravo ”
And a third wrote: “This media team deserves the player announcement’odor .”
ALI REGHBA has joined Slovenia’s most successful club, NK Maribor.
The 25-year-old Dubliner moves to Maribor – who lie second in the table – on a two-and-a-half-year contract.
The ex-Ireland youth international had caught the eye for Rabotnicki in Macedonia, scoring seven times and providing five assists in 11 games before the mid-season break.
Slovenia will be the fourth country in which the forward has plied his trade.
After impressing for Bohemians, he was snapped up by Leicester City in July 2019 where he lined out for their Under-21 side.
Three years ago, he joined CR Belouizdad in Algeria, his father’s home country, before linking up with Rabotnicki a year ago.
Maribor have won a record 14 titles and Reghba said: “Moving to Maribor is an exciting chapter in my life, I’m very happy to be here.
“When I heard about Maribor’s interest, I had no doubts. I know that I’m coming to a club with a rich history, but also a club that competes for big things and fights for trophies.
“It’s an important step in my career and I’m excited about the new challenge.”
Reghba had been expected to join Serbian side TSC Backa Topola but opted for Maribor after watching them in action against Domžale on Saturday.
He added: “This has only reinforced the realisation that I will be part of a team that plays attacking football, with possession and dominance on the field.
“As a direct player who likes to create chances, I think I could fit in successfully. I try to find situations where I can be a threat to the opponents’ goal and help my team in that way.
“I like to give the fans what they want – goals and assists. I believe that I can become an important part of the team and contribute my share.
“During my career, I have learned about different leagues, from Irish, English, Algerian and Macedonian. In doing so, I have also learned how to adapt quickly to new environments.
“I hope that I will be able to do this in the shortest possible time in Maribor and that we will be extremely successful together.”
