Inside Michelle Keegan’s stunning surprise baby shower as she prepares to give birth to her first child
MICHELLE Keegan was treated to a beautifully arranged surprise baby shower as she prepares to welcome her first child into the world.
Her friends gathered to celebrate the special occasion, with Michelle, 37, sharing a tiny glimpse of her day over on Instagram.
Michelle Keegan and Mark Wright are due to become parents[/caption]One stunning photo from the event shows a sophisticated table setting, featuring a long wooden table adorned with delicate white candles and vintage napkins.
Her pals received small gift boxes wrapped with twine, and dainty floral arrangements of baby’s breath placed in clear glass vases.
Champagne flutes were at the ready to toast Michelle, who had kept her pregnancy quiet until recently.
The star soaked in the love and excitement from her closest friends, telling her fans: “Cutessst surprise brunch with my northern lot.”
The Manchester actress lives in Essex with husband Mark Wright.
She also gave fans a glimpse of her pre-baby prep last week.
Michelle’s snaps have been taken throughout January and give a sweet insight into how she is getting ready for the arrival of her baby.
The actress’s photo dump begins with a shot of her, all wrapped up in a cosy coat and woolly hat while sitting in the car.
She has also shared a picture of her mum-to-be beauty products, including a ‘bump mask’, and one of a therapist’s table ahead of a pregnancy massage.
Michelle posted a photo of herself enjoying a quiet night at home in front of the telly and a selfie taken while she was wearing a face mask.
The Fool Me Once star finished her Instagram haul with a shot of the sunrise coming up over hers and Mark’s £3.5million Essex mansion, along with a video of herself walking alongside her hubby.
Michelle shared the post to her grid with the caption: “A self-care January…”
BABY JOY
Michelle and Mark announced their happy baby news after nine years of marriage with a stunning photoshoot in Mallorca.
In a snap showing off her baby bump for the very first time, she exposed her tummy as she donned an all-white outfit.
Posing on a beach, she carefully placed her hand on the bump as she gazed lovingly at hubby Mark.
A pal told The Sun: “Michelle and Mark went on a winter sun break in early November and chose to take the photograph there.
“It was taken on an empty beach by a friend when they knew no one would spot them.
“Majorca is like a second home to them so it felt special for them to take that photograph there.
“The lighting and the setting was just perfect, it was a beautiful moment.”
Friends also told The Sun how Fool You Once actress Michelle and Heart DJ Mark were “thrilled” about their baby news.
One said: “Michelle and Mark kept their pregnancy quiet for a long time because they wanted to enjoy every second.
“Starting a family has been something they have wanted to do for a long time.”
Since making the announcement, Michelle has been busy filming the final series of Sky’s Brassic.
The cast have been out in plunging temperatures and snow to shoot the last ever instalment of the hugely popular comedy show.
The Sun revealed earlier this month that Brassic is coming to an end after six years.
Michelle has played the part of Erin since the beginning and will no doubt be sad to say goodbye when they finally wrap.

Who is Robert Brown and what happened to his ex-wife Joanna?
ROBERT Brown killed his ex-wife Joanna Simpson in a crime that rocked Britain.
His horrifying killing will be explored in Channel 5’s A Killer Makes a Call, which airs on February 4, 2025.
Making a monster
Brown is thought to have been born in either 1964 and 1965 and was raised in Edinburgh.
His father worked in shipyards while his mother worked at the Bank of Scotland.
While growing up in Scotland, Brown became a three-time UK trail-running champion.
He grew up to become a pilot, having wanted to fly planes since he was a child.
Brown piloted long-haul flights between San Francisco, Los Angeles and Hong Kong while working for British Airways.
Marrying Joanna Simpson
Brown met Joanna Simpson after she divorced her first husband.
Her parents immediately took a dislike to Brown when they met him on the Isle of Man, having reportedly found him “rude” and “arrogant”.
Joanna and Brown moved in together in September 1998 and got engaged on Christmas Day that year.
They tied the knot in Ascot on February 13, 1999, despite Joanna’s parents protesting the match.
Joanna reportedly phoned her parents from her honeymoon in Cape Town and said that the marriage had been a mistake.
Two months later, Brown discovered that she was pregnant and gave birth to her first child in December 1999.
Joanna had another baby in May 2001.
Brown’s evil crime
In January 2007, Joanna went to a solicitor after Brown accused her of having an affair.
Eventually, the couple split and Joanna was encouraged by the outcome Radmacher v Granatino case which saw prenups being seen as enforceable in the UK.
Her parents had encouraged her to sign a prenup with Brown.
However, Joanna was killed by Brown on October 31, 2010.
Brown buried his Joanna in Windsor Great Park, after dropping his children off at his pregnant girlfriend’s house.
The killer phoned the police about a “serious domestic incident” and was arrested on suspicion of being involved in Joanna’s death.
He accompanied police when they recovered Joanna’s body from the woodland area in Windsor Great Park.
Brown was diagnosed by the defence psychiatrist as having an adjustment disorder, which involves a “maladaptive response” to a stressor.
He was eventually found guilty of manslaughter, but not guilty of murder.
The killer became eligible for parole halfway through his sentence but was met with a widespread campaign against his release.
Labour MP Jess Phillips was one of the most prominent people leading the charge to keep Brown behind bars.
Eventually, it was stated that Brown would not be automatically released and he was unable to overturn the decision.
A Killer Makes a Call
Brown’s terrifying crime will be examined in the Channel 5 documentary A Killer Makes a Call.
The hour-and-a-half episode will feature exclusive interviews with people who helped bring Brown to justice.
Viewers can watch the episode when it airs on February 4, 2025, at 10pm.
Wrexham reveal plans for new 5,500-capacity Kop stand with incredible pictures showing off unique design
WREXHAM have revealed plans for their new Kop stand.
Plans have been in place for several years to give the STōK Cae Ras stadium a revamp.
Wrexham’s new Kop has been designed by Populous[/caption] It pays homage to the city’s terracotta history[/caption] It will have a capacity of 5,500 with potential to be increased[/caption] There is a hospitality section and player facilities[/caption] It will feature two dragons as seen on the club crest[/caption] The Kop could be ready before summer 2026[/caption]The old Kop was knocked down in January 2023 and replaced with a temporary structure, but a new stand is finally on the way after a couple of setbacks including planning permission being denied by the council on environmental grounds.
Designed by world-renowned firm Populous, who worked on Wembley and the Tottenham Hotspur stadium, the new stand will embody Wrexham – the city and the club.
It will have a 5,500 capacity with potential to increase further, and includes safe standing.
There will also be accessible seating, hospitality and include player and official facilities, so fans will be able to welcome their team onto the pitch through a player tunnel in the stand.
It will also be built in compliance with Uefa Category 4 stadium requirements, which means it will be able to host European Under-19 Championship matches in 2026, with the tournament hosted by Wales.
Wrexham state the design of the stand will amplify noise created by supporters and it will be high enough for fans to see it from the city centre.
The exterior pays tribute to the city’s “Terracottapolis” nickname, with the brickwork reminiscent of the red brick used in the local are.
It will also feature two dragons carved into the brick, representing the two dragons on the Wrexham crest.

Michael Williamson, Wrexham CEO, said: “The new Kop Stand marks a special moment in the history of the STōK Cae Ras, allowing us to restore the traditional four-sided enclosure of the stadium, providing new and improved facilities and experiences for our fans and visitors to the stadium alike.
“The distinctive design of the new Kop Stand embodies the history and heritage of Wrexham – rooted in the local community creating a timeless, authentic piece of civic architecture that complements other landmarks.
“It will provide an iconic landmark standing at the gateway to the city giving it a true sense of place.
“The stand reflects the key role the football club can play in the rejuvenation and redevelopment of the city through its role in the Wrexham Gateway Project.
“The upgrading of facilities to meet UEFA Category 4 specifications are central to our wider vision of bringing international sport back to Wrexham and the benefit this will bring to the local community of hosting these events in North Wales.”
