And now she and fiance Adam, 29, have welcomed their first baby into the world.

Collard announced the happy news on Instagram, writing: “Leo Ernie Collard, our boy.”

He shared a host of snaps showing the new parents getting to grips with their bundle of joy.

ITV host Woods worked the entire Euro 2024 campaign managing to keep the joyful news of her pregnancy a secret.

The ex-talkSPORT host went public with the news between the Euros and Olympics in the summer.

The TV presenter and award-winning journalist shared a picture of an ultrasound on Instagram, complete with her French bulldog peeking over the top.

Since then, Woods has shared regular baby bump updates with her legion of fans on social media.

However, fans had been kept in the dark as to her due date, with Woods and Collard playing their cards close to their chest.

So today’s news came as a wonderful surprise.

It has been a big 12 months for Laura, having also announced she and partner Adam got engaged in September having first started dating in 2023.

The former Love Island hunk got down on one knee on a beach in Cornwall to pop the question.

Laura told her Instagram followers about the news in a post that said: “And just like that…💍💫 You make me happy @adamcollard 🤍

“Thank you @carbisbayestate – the place we fell in love and now the place we got engaged, you made it so special 🥹 What a summer x”

The glamorous TNT Sports presenter hasn’t been shy in showing off her stunning engagement ring.

Woods is the lead presenter on TNT Sports for their Champions League coverage and continued her boxing work for the network throughout her pregnancy.

Adam rose to fame after appearing on Love Island – TWICE. He also took part in Celebs Go Dating.

On the show he enjoyed a whirlwind fling with Kate Moss‘ sister Lottie Moss.

Prior to that, Adam’s first public romance was on Love Island where he was coupled up with influencer and Strictly star Zara McDermott.

He claims to have had 25 girlfriends.

But just weeks after splitting with Lottie, who now refuses to talk to him, he fell for Woods.

Speaking exclusively to The Sun about his romance with Laura, Adam said: “The first time we met – I’ll hold my hands up – I did DM her first and got a reply but then nothing ever happened.

“Then she called us out for basically leaving her on read.

“It’s hard to meet people, isn’t it? I’m from Newcastle and eventually we met up, and then went on a very undercover date, and obviously what comes out in the press, comes out in the press, but it’s not always the full story.”

Just earlier this year, Adam opened up about a secret battle with addiction and depression.

While 2024 was filled with his engagement and news of expecting his first child, he called it “the hardest year of my life”.

He admitted to having a painkiller and sleeping pill addiction and struggling with his mental health.

How Laura Woods tamed Love Island bad boy Adam Collard

HE was one of Love Island's most notorious bad boys - but one woman seems to have changed all that.

Personal trainer Adam Collard, 28, has been dating Euro 2024 presenter Laura Woods, 36, since 2023.

The former loverat has called her “The One,” spent Christmas with her – the first time he’s done so with a girlfriend since he was 21 – and kept their relationship relatively out of the limelight, seemingly on Laura’s wishes.

It’s a far cry from the man who admits himself he’s been “ruthless” in the past, claims to have had 25 girlfriends, and spent many years partying and juggling flings with girls including Zara McDermott and Lottie Moss.

Relationship expert Jo Hemmings says: “He’s now 28, he’s a professional with a job, and I think he just went off the whole idea of ever realistically meeting somebody on a TV show.

“He’s now met somebody who is also a professional, and is only on TV as a byproduct of what she does in sport.

“He’s got himself in a comfortable place. Financially, he’s older, he’s more mature, he’s more settled.

“He once played into this roguish character that people saw him as, and became a parody of himself. But look who’s laughing now.

“He’s got a fabulous girlfriend, they’re in a long term relationship, he’s well off, he’s still in the public eye, and he’s getting on with his life in the way that I think he always wanted.”

Death in Paradise’s Don Gilet recalls forgotten role on BBC drama years before becoming new detective

DEATH in Paradise’s latest star Don Gilet has opened up on his origins with the BBC drama after signing up to play the leading role.

The former EastEnders actor made his debut in the show during the Christmas special but now he is back as the full-time leading detective, DI Mervin Wilson.

But before Don bagged the leading role, he had headed to Saint Marie in a forgotten role alongside lead show star Kris Marshall.

Speaking about his previous show cameo, he admitted he thought he’d never play the main man of the show.

Don said: “It was a long time ago now, but I certainly remember enjoying it!

“I remember thinking I’m here just playing the
villain.

“I’ll never have to play that character who speaks for seven pages nonstop.

“Cut to now, and I’m now playing the character who speaks for seven pages nonstop…”

Ahead of his first day in the role, Don admitted he was both “excited and terrified” to be returning full-time.

The actor said: “I’m sure it won’t be a surprise to say that it was both exciting and terrifying in equal measure.

“I liken it to one of those scary rides at a theme park. I’m going on it, and I know it’s going to be scary, but I’m going to do it.

“You’re daring yourself. Then you sit in the seat going, “What have I just let myself in for?!”

“But it was exciting because I knew I was embarking on this new journey.”

But despite filming in the sunny climates of Guadeloupe, Don admitted he was all about work and less about play when it came to his stint on the island.

Don said: “I did get recommendations for some nice restaurants as well as places to go and visit from the cast.

“They wanted to take me out, but I really wanted to knuckle down while we were filming so I could look back and say that I put all my energy into this role.

“We’ve spent so much time together and there’s such a beautiful, warm bond between us.”

Most memorable Death in Paradise episodes

By Conor O’Brien

  • Arriving in Paradise: The show’s very first episode, introducing Ben Miller as the straight-laced DI Richard Poole. This episode also introduces Poole’s team and the fictional island location location of Saint Marie.
  • Amongst Us: The eighth episode of series one sees Richard uncover a major secret about Aidan (Adrian Dunbar), who has been dating Catherine (Elizabeth Bourgine). Far from his Line of Duty character Ted Hastings, Aidan is revealed to be a murderer.
  • Death of a Detective: The first episode of series three marks a major turning point for Death in Paradise. DI Poole is killed off – with his murder being the first case for replacement DI Humphrey Goodman (Kris Marshall). This mirrors two years earlier, when Poole solved his predecessor’s murder.
  • Stab in the Dark: This instalment, the first episode of series four, proved memorable for two reasons. It marked the introduction of Florence Cassell (Josephine Jobert) who became a long-running character. Meanwhile, Don Gilet guest-starred as the killer – almost a decade before becoming the show’s latest DI.
  • Swimming in Murder: Similarly to above, this episode marks the first appearance of JP Hooper (Tobi Bakare), who starred for seven series.
  • Man Overboard (Part One and Two): This two-parter in series six had a lot of different elements involved. Some of the team travelled to London, DI Goodman exited the show – while newcomer DI Jack Mooney (Ardal O’Hanlon) made his first appearance.
  • Switcharoo: Airing as the fifth episode of series nine, this was the first intalment following DI Mooney’s departure. In his place came DI Neville Parker (Ralf Little) – who became the show’s longest-serving DI.
  • Sins of the Detective: The latter half of a two-parter in series 12, which saw Neville in the frame for murdering smarmy criminologist David Cartwright. Although the team eventually uncover the actual murder, it comes with a big shock.
  • A Murder in the Skies: The finale of series 13 marked Neville’s exit from Saint Marie. The unlucky-in-love detective got a happy ending by sailing into the sunset with love interest Florence Cassell – who’d returned a few episodes earlier.
