Family ‘concerned for wellbeing’ of missing man, 27, last seen 11 days ago as Gardai plea for public assistance

GARDAI have issued an urgent plea for the public’s help in a bid to find a missing man – who hasn’t been seen for nearly two weeks.

Luke Price was reported missing from his home in Mountkennet, Limerick City on January 14.

The 27-year-old was last seen at approximately 9pm on Tuesday evening, January 14.

The man has been described as approximately 6ft in height with a slim build.

And Luke has auburn hair and blue eyes.

He was last seen wearing a black coat, blue jeans and black boots.

Cops said that his family are “concerned for his well-being”.

They are appealing to anyone with information on Luke’s whereabouts to contact them.

A garda spokesperson said: “Anyone with information on Luke’s whereabouts is asked to contact Henry Street Garda Station on 061 212 400, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111, or any Garda station.”

Separately, Gardai has issued an urgent appeal in the search of Hanni Binti Hanif, who hasn’t contacted her family since last year.

The 25-year-old was reported missing in Cork City last Sunday – and her family are “concerned for wellbeing”.

Gardai are seeking the public’s help in locating the 25-year-old who was last in contact with her family in Malaysia in December 2024.

Her family have not heard from her since then and there has been no other forms of communication made by Hanni.

This has left her family deeply “concerned for her wellbeing”, and prompted Gardai to launch an investigation into her whereabouts.

Originally from Malaysia, Hanni is described as being around 5 feet 4 inches tall, with a medium build, black hair and brown eyes.

She is a student at Griffith College Cork, and her last known address is in Cork city.

And authorities are hoping someone in the public may have information that could help track her down.

URGENT INFO PLEA

Gardai are now asking anyone who has seen Hanni or knows where she may be to get in touch with Anglesea Street Garda Station in Cork city.

Alternatively, the Garda Confidential Line is also available – and individuals can contact any Garda station with relevant information.

Along with the appeal made by cops, the Malaysian Embassy in Dublin has issued an alert for the missing woman.

In a statement, the Embassy of Malaysia in Dublin said: “The Embassy of Malaysia in Dublin seeks the cooperation of Malaysians in Ireland who are acquainted with Miss Hanni Binti Hanif, whose last known address is in County Cork and who was previously a student at Griffith College Cork.

“Kindly contact the Embassy of Malaysia in Dublin at +353 (01) 6677280 or the Duty Officer at +353 (85) 1600096. Embassy of Malaysia, Dublin, Ireland.”

I found terrifying ‘are you thick’ note & deflated tyre after morning dog walk at popular park… I could have died

A DOG walker said her life was ‘put in danger’ after a stranger left a nasty note on her car and let down her tyre.

The woman had been visiting Baggeridge Country Park, Dudley when her motor was targeted on a residential street.

“Are you f****** thick?” was scrawled in large capital letters on a napkin and her tire had been let down.

She’s parked her car on a street near the popular beauty spot for a brisk walk on the morning of Christmas Eve 2024.

Left shaken up by the incident, she told Birmingham Live: “I was shocked to find the note left on my windscreen and worst still, to find my tyre let down.

“It was really upsetting to think some had let my tyre down and deliberately tried to endanger my life and cause me to have an accident in the process. My wing mirror was pushed in too.

“This was also criminal damage. I know other people park on Fir Street to use Baggeridge too.”

Fir Street is a residential road within walking distance from the park.

It is not known if the woman had parked in an obstructive way, but according to the Highway Code, all road users are technically entitled to park outside houses.

The Highway Code, paragraph 207, asks that people DO NOT park their vehicle where it might cause an obstruction to other pedestrians or road users, and cites the example of not parking in front of another person’s driveway.

In essence, while there are certain rules and regulations under the Highway Code relating to parking on public highways, mostly it’s a matter of common decency and courtesy.

This comes after a couple who live in a van have discovered a way to avoid parking fines.

Ric and Keira discovered a “loophole in the system” when it comes to parking in supermarket car parks.

In a video on their YouTube channel, Touring With The Kids, the couple summarised the method and showed how seamless it has made their living.

Dad Ric described how frustrating it can be to try and use supermarket car parks as many typically have time restrictions.

But by downloading and quickly signing up to a popular app, the pair have managed to find the perfect “hack” to help find places to stay overnight.

The app, YourParkingSpace, lets you book time across many public car parks, including supermarkets.

It has over a million downloads from the Google Play Store and a rating of 4.2 from over 7000 reviews.

It has been a game changer for the family as they can now avoid fines and time restrictions for “next to nothing”.

For their overnight stay in the video, the couple said it cost them just £2.50 to stay in the car park.

YourParkingSpace allows booking at more than 700,000 spots across the UK, including supermarkets such as Asda, Sainsbury’s, and Tesco.

It works similarly to other parking apps like JustPark, with YourParkingSpace also allowing bookings on private driveways.

The airport stayed open for the day despite the 170kmh wind gusts but no planes took off or landed.

Over 200 flights were cancelled, with 109 arrivals and 119 departures axed.

Now, airline bosses have announced the status of flights scheduled for today.

It comes while thousands have been left without power as the clean up begins across Ireland.

In the capital, some flights have been delayed while others are expected to be running on time.

An 11.55am flight from Spanish capital Madrid is now expected to land in at 1.00pm.

And a flight from Prague to Dublin that was scheduled to arrive at 12.15pm also landed at 12.35pm.

Holidaygoers or those waiting for flights to land can check in on social media to see updates from Dublin Airport.

Meanwhile, the country’s other major airport in Cork is also seeing delays.
