ALDI is getting ready for Spring with a new range of garden essentials.
Available in-store from Sunday 23 February is a selection of products for propagating, pruning, and tidying your outside space.

Prices start from just £1.49 but it’s the greenhouse that is the real bargain.
The Walk in Greenhouse is “easy to build” – just assemble the frame, secure it to the ground and attach the cover – no tools are required!
It also has “sufficient room for plant pots and trays” with six shelves inside.
The exact size is W143 x D73 x H195 cm, making it perfect for smaller gardens or anyone not wanting to take up much space with a traditional glass greenhouse.
As for how much it costs, you get change from £30 because it’s only £29.99!
Compared to other walk-in greenhouses on the market of similar make and model, B&Q is selling and Outsunny Polytunnel Greenhouse for £89.99 or the VonHaus Walk In Greenhouse for £69.99.
Whether you’re a seasoned gardener or a beginner, the walk-in greenhouse is ideal for propagating seeds, growing flowers, or kickstarting your supply of homegrown fruits and vegetables.
Robert Dyas’ Smart Garden Gro-Zone Max is a much smaller version for £59.99, whereas Wickes is selling an extremely similar Wickes Plastic Walk-In Grow House for £50.

Designed to hold young plants as they grow, the circular shape of the pot helps support the seedlings’ structure.

The Windowsill Greenhouse is only £2.99 and perfect for anyone with limited space[/caption]
A set is £4.99 and includes four propagation trays, four inserts each with 24 growing cells, and four transparent lids.
If you’re really short on space but want to grow something, then try the windowsill greenhouse.
For £2.99, the tray fits any windowsill and “provides a perfect environment to grow seedling before you plant them out into your garden”.
It has space to grow up to 20 plants at a time and can be reused next year.
For gardeners with a balcony, or homeowners looking to spruce up their windowsills, Aldi’s balcony planters are perfect.
At only £2.49 and available in two colours, the planter has an integrated water reservoir so water frequency can be reduced.
As we move into spring, it’s important to keep feeding local birds because they need food throughout the year, not just in winter but for all seasons when they have to breed, molt and prepare for colder weather.

As for where you should put your bird feeders, the RSPB says to aim for somewhere:
- Quiet – where birds won’t be disturbed.
- Safe – not too close to bushes where predators could hide in wait, but close enough to cover so that birds can easily dart to and from. Birds like to have a view all around them while feeding.
- Sheltered from harsh winds.
And wherever you place your feeder, make sure you can see it when you’re indoors so you can get the most pleasure from it!
But bear in mind, it can take a time for the birds to get used to a new feeder, so don’t be disappointed if not many birds visit at first.
