Happy Gilmore 2 just released its trailer, and fans could not be more excited. Reviving an iconic film in a seemingly excellent fashion, the project could be just what the comedy genre needed. While there are several aspects that fans are looking forward to when it comes to the film, cameos certainly bring a lot of anticipation.
The trailer announced the presence of several familiar faces, including Julie Bowen and Ben Stiller. While they were expected to come back by fans, there was one face that fans were not expecting to feature in an Adam Sandler film. While there was no acknowledgment of it, many viewers noticed that Paige Spiranac was in the background of the trailer.

After the title card rolls around, Gilmore ends up at a virtual golf course, being assisted by a certain familiar blonde. While it can be expected that the film will feature her in a small cameo, Spiranac’s short appearance could be very beneficial for the film.

Paige Spiranac is quite a well-known figure in the world of golf. Being a former professional golfer and now working as a golf instructor, she has a very big presence on social media. Possessing a following of four million on her Instagram, her fans are quite loyal and would certainly want to watch a movie featuring her.

Since the entire premise of the Happy Gilmore films surrounds golf, Spiranac being a part of the film could seriously affect the sequel’s viewership in the best way possible. Some might argue that a sequel as anticipated as Happy Gilmore 2 does not need to rely on such tricks to gain success.
However, this would not be the first time the series did something like this. Most notably, the 1996 movie featured The Price is Right’s Bob Barker, who beat Sandler’s character to a pulp. This decision ended up getting the project a lot of attention, including winning the MTV Movie Award for Best Fight.
Keeping this in mind, Spiranac’s addition to the film could certainly help its numbers, if not through notoriety, then through her fans.
Happy Gilmore 2 will be released on Netflix on 25 July 2025.
