The latest season of Love Is Blind continued to have more explosive moments off camera than on.
During the season 8 reunion, which started streaming on Netflix Sunday, March 9, fans received updates from all five couples, with Taylor and Daniel happily married and the other four duos — Ben and Sara, Virginia and Devin, Lauren and Dave, and Monica and Joey — all taking swipes at each other.
Mason, Meg, Alex and Madison were also all in attendance. After dating “a couple times” in the past year, Mason and Meg revealed they were better off as friends. Alex and Madison are on less friendly terms, accusing each other of being different on and off camera.
There was also a random countdown of the most memorable moments in LiB history — the correct winner would’ve been Jessica’s dog drinking the wine out of her cup, but we digress — and a major Perfect Match spoiler with season 6 star AD Smith and Love Is Blind UK’s Ollie Sutherland announcing their engagement, let Us break down the biggest takeaways by couple:

Taylor and Daniel

The only successful relationship from the season, Taylor and Daniel are still going strong, recently buying their first home in Minneapolis. And if the twosome gushing about their romance wasn’t enough to make fans believe in their love story, Daniel showed off his insane (and giant) new tattoo of Taylor’s eyes on his chest.
Virginia and Devin
Ben and Sara 2.0, anyone? While it seemed like a shock to some when Virginia said no to Devin at the altar, it turns out that they were arguing over politics and values behind the scenes too. After saying that she didn’t feel comfortable sharing Devin’s views, Virginia made hers clear. “I 100 percent support the LGBTQ community. I also believe that women should have the decision to choose if they want to have an abortion or not,” she said. “I also believe that different religions should be valued.”

Devin, who stated he is a Christian, didn’t really respond, but argued that couples “didn’t need to agree on everything” to get married. If that wasn’t enough, Virginia accused Devin of hiding the $1,000 wedding check that his mother gave him and claimed she found a note from an ex-girlfriend in his hotel room ahead of their big day. While he didn’t have a good explanation for the check, Devin claimed that the “ex-girlfriend” in question was one of his “best friends” who is now in a relationship with someone in his wedding party.
Sealing the deal that these two weren’t a match, Virginia and Devin argued over who “ghosted” who and left Us with more questions than answers.
Ben and Sara

Ben continued to play the amnesia game during his hot seat moment with Sara, telling his ex and the crowd that he didn’t “remember” his church’s views on the LGBTQ+ community. He eventually admitted that he likely didn’t pay attention to any mention of the LGBTQ+ community at his parish because it didn’t directly affect him.
When the topic shifted to the headline-making TikTok allegations against Ben, Sara reiterated that she wanted to trust him at the time, but no longer does. “Knowing now what I know about Ben, a TikTok like that makes sense,” she said.
Love Is Blind’s Virginia Says She Found Note From Devin’s Ex Before Wedding
According to Sara, the twosome tried to date and lived together for a week or so after their failed wedding. Ben even allegedly agreed to temporarily move to Nashville with Sara. After she left for Music City (with Ben supposedly set to join her at a later date), Sara claimed Ben removed her from Find My Friends and ended things with “three very scripted apologies.” Ben argued that the duo had a conversation that he perceived as a breakup before Sara left, but she insisted that the plans for him to move in with her were still in place.
When the twosome did finally talk again weeks later, Ben reached out to try to get on good terms with Sara — because he was advised by a former cast member to get on the same page with his ex ahead of the reunion. While Ben didn’t want to name names, Sara quickly revealed it was season 6 star Jimmy Presnell who told Ben to script responses with Sara. (It’s hard not to laugh thinking about Ben taking advice from Jimmy — another missed opportunity for the cameras!)
Sara concluded that she felt “love-bombed” by Ben, who didn’t really do much besides try to awkwardly smile his way through the rest of the segment. (If he did prepare a script, he should’ve considered a different writer!)
Monica and Joey

Monica came out swinging in a way viewers likely didn’t expect, accusing Joey sliding into costar Madison’s DMs. While Joey said he reached out to several cast members and tried to downplay the message, Madison eventually revealed that he had complimented her new pink hair and told her that he wished they talked more at the group hangout that was featured on the show. (Not a crime, but also not a message you should be sending days before your wedding!)
Despite dating in the pods, Madison made it clear that she had no interest in Joey, and Monica accused her ex of gaslighting her as Joey denied ever telling Monica that Madison was a potential threat to their romance.

Watching the show back was also clearly difficult for Monica. “It was embarrassing,” she said. “[I’m thinking to myself], ‘This man is not interested in you romantically … how could you not see?’” Joey tried to argue that Madison’s sister’s lack of acceptance was why he pulled away, Nick Lachey had a good point — it happens! — arguing that Monica’s sister might have picked up on Joey’s skepticism and didn’t want her sister to get hurt.
Lauren and Dave

Justice for Lauren was served when Dave admitted that Lauren’s former fling was reaching out for the wrong reasons. While he “absolutely” regrets listening to “the other guy,” Lauren wasn’t buying it. “I just don’t fully believe it. You had my phone number for the last year,” she said. “You made no effort to show that in any capacity.”
After (correctly) declaring that she had a lot more “emotional maturity” than Dave, Lauren clarified that she doesn’t agree with the social media comments about Dave being a “narcissist or manipulator.” She concluded that he “tried his best with the information he had.”
While we still didn’t get much clarification about his sister — and his refusal to meet Lauren — Dave claimed that she had watched the show and “struggled” with “seeing how hurt Lauren was and how hard it was for her to go through that.”
