Tatiana Maslany’s She-Hulk was one of the most-anticipated shows of 2022. Revolving around Jennifer Walters, the show follows her court-battles representing superhuman cases, while dealing with her own challenges as the She-Hulk.

Now, most Marvel series have been underwhelming for the past few years. Similarly, when the show aired, it seemed to be following the same disastrous recipe Marvel has been cooking with for some time according to the majority of fans.
Some, though, maintained that She-Hulk seemed to be a better show among the unfortunate series of disastrous shows MCU has been producing. In any case, the debate is heating up the fan circles again after an intriguing poll divided the fandom in two factions.
Tatiana Maslany’s fans wage war as She-Hulk gets voted to be the worst MCU project in years
Tatiana Maslany’s She-Hulk seemed to be intriguing enough to catch people’s attention initially. However, upon airing, it was review-bombed similar to the bunch of other projects Marvel and Disney have produced in recent years.

The ones that somehow braved the challenge and finished the show, though, seemingly had a different opinion. Most people, especially, commended Maslany’s acting in the series, as they claimed she managed to shine through even through the obvious flaws the show had.
In fact, according to them, Maslany’s “She-Hulk was one of the better D+ shows” of the franchise in a while. The debate recently reared its head again when a YouTube poll by DyliciousTakes went viral following the massively divisive results from the voters.
In the poll, people were asked “Which MCU Property’s WORSE??!!” among Thor: Love and Thunder, The Eternals, She-Hulk, and Secret Invasion. Interestingly, She-Hulk received the most votes to be titled as the worst MCU project among the options.
What seems to have disappointed Tatiana Maslany’s fans is that people have voted it to rank lower than Secret Invasion, which is notorious for being an absolute snoozefest with 53% Rotten Tomatoes rating. It would be safe to say, fans didn’t take it too kindly and inevitably took to the r/marvelstudios subreddit to express their opinions.
I’m convinced most these people didn’t actually finish She-Hulk

In any case, even with a 79% Rotten Tomatoes rating, She-Hulk failed to manage the viewership that was expected. In fact, Tatiana Maslany claimed that they might have blown their entire budget as well without making a proper profit as per Deadline. As such, any hopes for a revival have seemingly also concluded with the first season.
Secret Invasion failed to make waves even with legendary actors powering the series up
Secret Invasion, on the other hand, was marketed largely as Nick Fury’s story. As the mysterious and magnetic S.H.I.E.L.D. director has intrigued fans for decades, the 2023 show was expected to unravel some of the mysteries surrounding him.
However, when the show aired, their hopes were extinguished faster than you could find a fire extinguisher for the dumpster fire Secret Invasion turned out to be.

To add insult to the injury, the series had legendary actors like Samuel L. Jackson (Nick Fury), Emilia Clarke (G’iah), Olivia Colman, Martin Freeman and more. Unfortunately, even their combined efforts weren’t enough to save that drowning ship. Regardless, as that had been the case with most of Marvel’s Disney+ series in recent years, it didn’t exactly surprise fans.
The only prominent exceptions to this constant barrage of mid MCU projects were probably, Tom Hiddleston’s Loki, and Iman Vellani’s Ms. Marvel. Interestingly, a report by The Hollywood Reporter suggests that her character will soon have big roles to play in the MCU as the franchise speeds up toward Avengers: Secret Wars.
The 2027 release might also end up reuniting Loki and Thor with an unprecedented plot twist at last. As such, fans’ excitement about the future of the MCU seems to be growing stronger with each day. However, whether Tatiana Maslany’s She-Hulk would be a part of that future, is still a question that seems to haunt the fans.
She-Hulk, Secret Invasion, Loki, and Ms. Marvel are all streaming on Disney+.
