Allow me to set the scene. You worked all day, picked up your kid from baseball practice, and dropped off that pile of return packages that’s been sitting next to the door for weeks. By the time you get home, you realize you have approximately 30 minutes to prepare a meal your picky eaters will actually eat before it’s time to begin the nightly homework and bedtime prep routine. But after all those errands, you didn’t have time to run to the grocery store and your pantry is looking a bit bare. What’s a mom to do?! Days like this are the reason we are so obsessed with meal plan delivery subscriptions like Home Chef.
If you’ve been hesitant to try a subscription service like Home Chef, allow us to win you over with some drool-worthy news that’s music to parents’ ears. Best-selling author, and Founder of Sweet July, Ayesha Curry, has teamed up with Home Chef for a four-week partnership that features four flavor-packed recipes from Curry’s own kitchen and cookbooks. And of course, the best part is that everything gets delivered directly to your door.
“I am so excited for people to experience all of these different flavors,” Curry told SheKnows. “I love that we were able to give people these flavor bombs in a very short amount of time, at the comfort of their home,” Curry says. And “flavor bomb” is the perfect way to describe Curry’s recipes.
Here’s a look at the recipes that are available to order through Home Chef:
- Week 1: Jerk-Style Chicken and Rice Bowl with mango salsa, Ultimate Fish Sandwich with Ayesha’s spicy dill aioli
- Week 2: Mezze-Style Flatbread with feta and olives, Sweet Sambal Yellowtail with coconut-lime rice
- Week 3: Hot Honey Fried Chicken Wrap with pickles and slaw, Apricot-Glazed Salmon with zucchini and corn
- Week 4: Pan-Seared Filet Mignon with brown butter-apple-sweet potato mash, Sweet Chili Shrimp with apple-jalapeño salad and cilantro rice

When speaking to Curry about the new partnership, Curry revealed the important role her heritage plays in the recipe-building process. “I have a big, robust Jamaican background. That’s how I grew up. That’s the only thing that I know and so everything kind of starts there,” Curry explained. “There is a huge Asian influence on Jamaican cooking, and I think you’ll see that throughout the recipes,” Curry continued. “There’s a lot of sweet mixed with heat, mixed with a little bit of bite, whether that’s from pickling something or from having a tangy sauce and that was really important for me.”
As a mom herself, Curry understands how crucial it is to have quick and easy recipes available to whip up on busy weeknights. “I have this professional culinary background, but at the end of the day, I’m just a mom who just wants to feed her kids and make sure that they’re actually going to eat what I’m giving them,” Curry says. “So one of the meals in the partnership is this apricot glazed salmon that’s made on a sheet pan with veggies. It has little tamari in there. It’s so good, but it’s quick and easy — 20 minute tops. We serve it with rice, or you can do it with potatoes. That meal is on rotation in my house at least twice a week.”

Ayesha Curry’s Home Chef recipe collaboration is available now, but only for a limited time. Head on over to Home Chef and pick out your flavor bomb recipes while they’re still available!
