David Hasselhoff‘s ex-wife Pamela Bach-Hasselhoff has died, Closer can confirm. She was 62 years old.
According to online records viewed by Closer, an autopsy is scheduled.
TMZ reported that the Baywatch actress died by suicide at her home. David, 72, spoke out in a statement shared with the outlet after news of her death.
“Our family is deeply saddened by the recent passing of Pamela Hasselhoff,” he said. “We are grateful for the outpouring of love and support during this difficult time but we kindly request privacy as we grieve and navigate through this challenging time.”
David and Pamela were married from 1989 to 2006. They welcomed two children together, daughters Taylor and Hayley Hasselhoff.
“I’ve always loved him and always will, and have love and compassion for him,” Pamela told The Associated Press about her ex-husband after finalizing their divorce. “It’s a very, very sad day, but a day to move on.”
