The discount supermarket dropped the new fitness items in the middle aisle just yesterday.

Some fitness brands cost a fortune for you to keep in shape, but luckily for Lidl fans, the new range is at affordable prices.

Gym bunnies will love the Ladies’ Performance Underwear Leggings just €8.99.

Available in a dusky pink or black, they vary in sizes small to extra-large.

Style with the matching Ladies’ Performance Top, also available in the two colours.

The seamless top is a bargain at €9.99 and ranges in sizes small to extra-large.

The retailer has also dropped Men’s Performance Underwear Bottoms for €8.99.

Available in sizes M-XXL, choose from a black or grey.

There’s also a matching Men’s Performance Top just €9.99.

Lidl bosses have also released the Ladies’ Premium Sports Leggings costing €9.99.

The sleek leggings are “quick-drying and moisture-wicking”.

Boasting a “shaping effect”, the leggings range in sizes small to large.

Shoppers can choose from a classic black, purple or bright pink.

Don’t forget to pick up a pair of Premium Hiking Socks, reduced from €5.99 to €3.99.

A must-have for all workouts is the Bluetooth On-Ear Headphones, only €14.99.

The black headphones have up to 12 hours of music playback and a Bluetooth range of 10m.

And phone calls are “easy” thanks to the headset function and integrated microphone.

‘ROBOT’ DUPE

Meanwhile, Lidl fans have been rushing to buy new “robot” dupe with 5 modes that will keep house clean.

The new robotic vacuum will be available in all stores nationwide for €129.99 from 10 February.

The handy technology is a little cleaning robot that moves around your home by itself, picking up dirt and dust along the way.

It is designed to vacuum up all hair, crumbs and dust on the ground in just one go.

The combination brush is designed to withstand and clean thoroughly for hard floors and short-pile carpets.

For pet owners, the robot is trained to avoid dogs and cats and to avoid frightening them during their cleaning process.

THE HISTORY OF LIDL IN IRELAND

LIDL first opened in Germany in 1973.

Back then, it employed just three people, stocking 500 product lines.

The first Irish store, located just off Molesworth Street in Dublin, was opened in 1999.

This was Lidl’s first entry into the Irish grocery market.

Then, Lidl opened more stores in 2000, in Limerick, Letterkenny, Mullingar, Athlone, Cavan, Ballinasloe and Portlaoise.

Now, the retailer has over 180 stores and three distribution centres, employing over 6,000 people.

They work with a network of more than 260 Irish suppliers from the communities they operate in.
