Diddy Warns Kanye West to ‘Be Careful’ in Alleged Jail Phone Call

Sean “Diddy” Combs reportedly phoned Kanye West from jail and had a lot to say about unnamed parties “trying to end” them.

“You be careful out there, because they definitely trying to end us, you feel me?” Diddy, 55, told West, 47, in an alleged phone call shared by The Shade Room on Monday, March 17. “They can’t do it. They can’t do it and they ain’t gonna do it. I’m gonna beat this s— and get next to you. We gon’ raise our families and become the kings that we supposed to be.”

Diddy also advised West to “have some f—ing fun” and keep making music. “Chop up them samples, get back on your hit man vibe,” he told the “Power” rapper. “Have some fun, get back to smiling. F— these other motherf—ers. They are wasting your time, B.”

West has been outspoken about his support for Diddy in the past several weeks, most recently releasing a new song with the disgraced mogul. The track, titled “Lonely Roads Still Go to Sunshine,” also features West’s eldest child, daughter North, 11. (The “Gold Digger” artist shares North and Saint, 9, Chicago, 7, and Psalm, 5, with ex-wife Kim Kardashian.)

After announcing the song, West claimed that Kardashian, 44, told him North couldn’t be featured on the track because her name is trademarked. “I asked you at the time if I can trademark her name. You said yes. When she’s 18, it goes to her. So stop,” Kardashian reportedly said, according to since-deleted screenshots of text messages shared by West. “I sent paperwork over so she wouldn’t be in the Diddy song to protect her.”

Last month, West tweeted “FREE PUFF” and launched a new collaboration between his Yeezy fashion brand and Diddy’s Sean John clothing line.

During the alleged phone call, West told Diddy, “You gonna definitely beat this s—.” Diddy is currently in jail awaiting trial following his September 2024 arrest on federal charges of sex trafficking, racketeering conspiracy and transportation to engage in prostitution. He has pleaded not guilty to all charges and denied all the allegations against him.

“This s— is f—ing sad as a motherf—er,” Diddy told West of his incarceration before thanking him for reaching out to his children. “I just wanna thank you so much for just taking care of my kids, man. ‘Cause ain’t nobody reach out to them, ain’t nobody call. That meant so much that you reached out to them and took them under your wing while I’m in [jail], and I appreciate you.”

In response, West told Diddy that he looks up to him as a father. “I love you so much, man,” he said. “It’s like you raised me even when I didn’t know you, you know what I’m saying?”

Diddy is the father of seven children. He shares son Justin, 31, with ex Misa Hylton and son Christian, 26, and twin daughters D’Lila and Jessie, 18, with the late Kim Porter, who died in 2018 at age 47. He also adopted Porter’s son Quincy Brown, 33, during their relationship. Diddy and Sarah Chapman share daughter Chance, 18, while he shares daughter Love, 2, with Dana Tran.
