Savannah Kane the hero as Bohemians advance to All-Island Cup quarter-finals at expense of Linfield

SAVANNAH KANE scored late to send BOHEMIANS into the last eight of the All-Island Cup at the expense of LINFIELD yesterday.

The Gypsies needed to win to advance from Group A.

And they did just that thanks to Kane’s 91st-minute winner at Dalymount Park.

Lisa Murphy handed Bohs a first-half lead before Zoe McGlynn levelled it for the Blues after 18 minutes.

And with the Belfast side needing to win to get through, the hosts profited late on with Kane sealing a 2-1 victory.

SHELBOURNE topped Group A with a 5-0 win over SLIGO ROVERS at the Showgrounds.

Noelle Murray was the star of the show as she scored a whopping four goals for Eoin Wearen’s Reds side.

American Mackenzie Anthony was also on the mark for Shels.

WEXFORD secured top spot in Group B with a 2-0 victory over DLR WAVES as Orlaith Conlon and Della Doherty scored.

LISBURN LADIES bowed out on goal difference despite defeating SHAMROCK ROVERS 2-0 at Tallaght Stadium — with Gracie Conway and Anastasija Stanyte on target.

In Group C, GALWAY UNITED saw off CORK CITY 2-0 to seal top spot at Eamonn Deacy Park.

Isabella Beletic and Amanda Smith netted for the holders.

They will be joined in the last eight by PEAMOUNT UNITED, who drew 0-0 with CLIFTONVILLE at Solitude.

GLENTORAN went through as Group D winners, drawing 2-2 with TREATY UNITED at the Markets Field.

ATHLONE TOWN eased past WATERFORD 4-0 in Lissywollen, with both teams already out of the competition.

Galway will face Shamrock Rovers in the last eight, with Wexford hosting Peamount United.

Shels will tackle Treaty United at Tolka Park, while Glentoran welcome Bohs to Belfast.
