Three Arrested and Residence Red-Tagged in Shasta Lake Drug Bust

SHASTA COUNTY, Calif. — A coordinated law enforcement operation resulted in the arrest of three individuals and the red-tagging of a residence in Shasta Lake on Thursday.

The Shasta County Sheriff’s Office, in collaboration with the Shasta Interagency Narcotics Task Force, the AB109 team, and South County Station members, executed a search warrant at a property located in the 1900 block of Grand Coulee Blvd.

Authorities arrived at the scene around 10:38 a.m. and discovered nine people on the premises. Among them was 50-year-old Victor Ramirez, who was reportedly caught attempting to destroy evidence. Deputies promptly detained Ramirez.

During the search, law enforcement uncovered evidence of narcotics intended for sale, indicating the property was being used as a base for drug operations. Consequently, Victor Ramirez, along with 65-year-old Tanja Grigalba, was arrested on multiple charges, including possession of methamphetamine for sale, maintaining a residence for narcotics sales, and possession of narcotics with prior convictions under California’s Proposition 36 regulations.

Additionally, 56-year-old Raymond Grigalba was taken into custody on an outstanding work release warrant. He is also noted as part of the Shasta County Chronic Offender Program.

Following the arrests, City of Shasta Lake Code Enforcement officials assessed the property and cited several city code violations. The residence was declared unsafe for occupancy and was “red-tagged,” rendering it uninhabitable. All individuals present at the location were instructed to vacate the premises.
