Man, 27, charged after stabbing inside B&M in front of horrified shoppers

A MAN has been charged after a stabbing at a B&M Bargains store in front of horrified shoppers.

Lancashire Police were called to the shop in Carlisle Street, Preston, to reports of an assault at 12.37pm on Wednesday.

A man in his 40s had suffered a stab wound to his leg. He was taken to hospital.

Cops said at the time the incident was not being treated as terror-related.

A 27-year-old man was arrested in Preston a short time later.

Andrzej Mikulski, of no fixed address, has been charged with Section 18 wounding with intent.

He’s further charged with an offence of robbery at the Market offices in Earl Street, Preston; two offences of attempted robbery at stores in Preston; three offences of possessing a knife/bladed article in a public place; two offences of theft from shops, and one offence of theft of a pedal cycle.

Mikulski has been remanded in custody to appear at Preston Magistrates Court today.
