After Sony unveils information about Marvel Tokon Fighting Souls in the Sony State of Play 2025, Marvel fans worldwide have been quite optimistic about its future collaboration with Marvel Rivals. Even though nothing has been confirmed yet from either side, we must not lose hope, considering NetEase’s past accomplishments in attracting a huge chunk of the audience.
For context, Arc System Works, Marvel Games, and PlayStation Studios have held hands with their creative approach with a new tag team fighter, scheduled to release on Steam, PlayStation 5, and Epic. Meanwhile, the company has also promised to provide a brand new experience with great gameplay mechanics, breaking the traditional rules of fighting games, along with excellent visuals. Now, the question arises: Is there a possibility of seeing a joint effort from two Marvel titles?
Chances of Marvel Rivals X Marvel Tokon Fighting Souls Collaboration

NetEase Games has already experimented with other Marvel franchises, including movies like Infinity War and Captain America: Brave New World. The company has introduced a Captain America: Infinity War exclusive skin and two other in-game items (spray and nameplate) with the Brave New World collaboration. Not only did they collaborate with the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), but they also included a jaw-dropping skin from Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 game.
On the other hand, Marvel’s very own Marvel Snap, a digital collectible card game, has also crossed over the multiverse. One of its particular seasons was directly inspired by NetEase’s 5v5 Hero Shooter title. Snap’s developers introduced a few cards, including Heroes, such as Peni Parker, Groot, and Rocket Raccoon. The artworks on specific cards were directly inspired by the Hero shooter.
Earlier, in a Q4 Financial Report of 2024, NetEase had already discussed its future collaborations with other Marvel franchises. The Chinese giants seem to follow the same strategic path of critically acclaimed titles, such as Call of Duty and Fortnite, to increase player engagement. With the recent announcement of the new 4v4 tag team fighting game, there’s a huge possibility that NetEase could collaborate with the Japanese video game development company and implement a few brand-new skins in-game.
What do fans want from the collaboration between the Marvel titles?

With all the limelight shifted towards Marvel’s upcoming 4v4 tag team fighting title, gamers worldwide have shown interest in its visually attractive skins. One Reddit post specifically showcased Fighting Soul’s Iron Man skin, which certainly resembles his Dragon-Slayer Armor.
Another Reddit post praising the Marvel Tokon Fighting Souls skins of Iron Man, Captain Marvel, Captain America, and more showcases how badly fans want NetEase to implement those costumes in its title.
Another Reddit comment mentioned above also shows that a few fans are excited about a potential character crossover between the titles. As per the trailer, we’ve seen Ms. Marvel and Ghost Rider being an integral part of the Fighting Souls roster. As a result, fans would like to see those characters in their favorite 5v5 Hero Shooter title.
All of the collaborations mentioned have been successful based on the responses from a large player base. Hence, even though nothing has been confirmed from any developer, it’s nothing but hints towards a possible collaboration of NetEase with Arc System Works’ Tokon Fighting Souls game in the near future.
