There will be six lodge ‘zones’ as well as areas for woodlands and dining locations[/caption]
And new deigns have revealed the layout of what the park could look like.
Six designated lodge “zones” will be home to the 700 accommodation lodges with a range of woodland cabins and treehouses.
The woodland areas will have new pathways and roads, as well as a wildflower meadow.
The website states: “Our newest location will include everything you love about a Center Parcs break, with one big, exciting difference – this time, we’re planning to create our own woodland by planting thousands of new trees.
“The site is currently open grassland, which we’re hoping to transform into thriving woodland to create a rich, natural habitat where wildlife can flourish.”
And the designs include a heritage and activity zones as well as dining areas.
Center Parcs’ chief executive Colin McKinlay said: “The unveiling of this zoning plan marks an important first step in bringing our vision for a Center Parcs village in the Scottish Borders to life.
“This early-stage plan provides a foundation for thoughtful development, ensuring that environmental, heritage, and community factors remain central to our approach.
“We are committed to listening to the local community as we refine our plans over the coming months, with the aim of submitting a formal planning application in the summer.”
The resort will also be home to Center Parcs’ famous indoor waterpark, Subtropical Swimming Paradise with pools and sports facilities.
The Aqua Sana Forest Spa will also be part of the complex with treatments, sauna and steam rooms.
Restaurants, bars, cafes and shops will also be on-site, just like the other parks.
The 400-acre site – around 55 miles from Edinburgh – has not revealed an opening date although said it will take around three years once planning permission is given.
When it does open, it will be the seventh Center Parcs site in the UK.
The UK’s first Center Parcs resort was Sherwood Forest in 1987, followed by a second park two years later, Elveden Forest.
In 1994, Center Parcs Longleat opened, followed by Whinfell Forest in Cumbria in 1997 which is currently the largest of the UK parks.

Woburn Forest in Bedfordshire opened in 2014 followed by Longford Forest in 2019.
Before the Scottish Center Parcs site was confirmed, there were also plans to open a resort in Crawley.
However, these plans were later scrapped.
And some of the oldest Center Parcs resorts are found in the Netherlands, which opened in the 1960s.
A mum recently revealed how she saved more than £1,000 by going to a Center Parcs resort in Europe rather than the UK.
