President John Dramani Mahama has emphasised that well-crafted policies alone are not enough to transform Ghana, stating that real change requires decisive action.
Speaking at the 68th Independence Day celebration at the Jubilee House on March 6, President Mahama noted that while policies serve as a foundation, their impact depends on bold and deliberate implementation.
“This is a defining moment for our nation. No matter how sound or well-intentioned our policies may be, they will not change our reality unless backed by action. As President, I am committed to taking the necessary steps to drive economic growth and strengthen our independence,” he said.
Under the theme “Reflect, Review, and Reset,” the celebration focused on Ghana’s need to assess its progress and make strategic adjustments for the future.
President Mahama also called on young Ghanaians to take an active role in shaping the country’s economic future.
“Young people must rise to the occasion, seize opportunities, and contribute meaningfully to building a self-reliant Ghana. The future of our economy is in your hands,” he urged.
His remarks reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to fostering economic empowerment, innovation, and sustainable national development.
