Only Roman Reigns Can Beat Hated WWE Legend Hulk Hogan’s Record for Most WrestleMania Main Events

Six-time WWE world champion and leader of the Bloodline, Roman Reigns, is currently the biggest threat to WWE legend Hulk Hogan’s record of most WrestleMania appearances.

Hulk Hogan, the man who made WrestleMania the show it is today, has appeared a record 8 times in the main event of WrestleMania, but the Tribal Chief is breathing down his neck with 7 main event appearances, and fans are contemplating that it won’t be long before Reigns overtakes the hated WWE legend.

Roman Reigns has been the main attraction of the recent WrestleMania events; he main-evented in WrestleMania 31, 32, 33, 34, 37, 38, and 39. On the contrary, Hulk Hogan has been one of the main reasons behind WrestleMania’s initial success. ‘Hollywood Hogan’ has main-evented 8 of the first 9 WrestleMania events 1, 2, 3, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9.

It has been ages since Hulk Hogan last appeared in the show’s main event and is never going to again, but Roman Reigns still has many years ahead of him in the WWE, and many believe he will surpass Hogan with ease.

Reigns has appeared in more WrestleMania main events than some of the absolute legends of the show like John Cena, Brock Lesnar, ‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin, and The Rock.

He first appeared in the main event of WrestleMania 31, where he lost to Brock Lesnar and Seth Rollins in a triple threat match. Roman Reigns went on to lose just two more WrestleMania main event matches in his career.

He lost to Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 34 and to Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania 39. But the list of WWE superstars he defeated is even more stacked.

Reigns triumphed over the Edge and the Undertaker in two consecutive years at WrestleMania 32 and 33. The Tribal Chief’s win streak was finally put to an end by Lesnar as he defeated Reigns again at WrestleMania 34.

He didn’t take part in the next three WrestleMania main events only to come back stronger and defeated Edge and Daniel Bryan at WrestleMania 37 before taking his revenge on Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 38.

Why is Hulk Hogan hated so much?

Despite being one of the biggest stars WWE has ever produced, Hulk Hogan is hated by many WWE fans from all over the world. Hogan has been booed several times during his recent appearances in the WWE.

These seeds of hatred among the WWE followers were planted by Hogan himself; his knack of lying and backstage politics have mad him sour in the eyes of many.

There are many instances in WWE history where Hulk Hogan got involved with backstage politics to get his way. He has also lied several times to the world in plain face .

Hogan once claimed that he fought an MMA fighter from the PRIDE promotion in 1977 in Japan, but many were quick to notice that the PRIDE promotion was formed in 1997, and Hogan’s first Japan tour was in 1980.

‘The Hulkster’ once baffled fans as he claimed to have fought 400 days a year. To support this weird claim, he stated this was because of the time difference in travelling between different countries, which is an absurd lie.

It is surprising that the man who once was the very face of WWE is now one of the most hated figures in the show because of his off-ring theatrics.
