Things have been going well for the gaming department over at Marvel, and things are seemingly going to keep looking up as the studio boots up to release Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra, which is another banger of a video game title this year that just got a confirmed release date.

To put it in context, Marvel Gaming has been leading the way recently with the help of the massively popular Marvel Rivals, a hero-shooter game that has taken over the industry, dominating over every other title that has come to the genre before.
Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra to be released approximately a year after Rivals

Developed by Netease Games, Marvel Rivals was released in December 2024, and bearing in mind how it has been topping every chart since then, it’s easy to say that it has been holding up pretty damn well for itself. To keep up with the hype and make sure the gaming department over at Marvel reaches new heights, the very next project slated for release this year is Marvel 1943.
Revealing details about the game’s release, Khary Payton, one of the voice actors cast in the movie, stated the following during a conversation over at MultiCon in Los Angeles with The Direct.
We’re still working. We’re planning on 2025… We’re thinking like a Christmas situation. But I’m so excited.
Due to previous announcements, fans already knew that the game would make its way over to the storefronts this year itself. However, the recent reveal by Khary Payton gives us a way narrower timeline to focus on, which is that of Holidays 2025.
Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra to come out at the perfect time

2025 is a big year for video games, especially with the big bad GTA 6 lined up for the fall season. Interestingly, there have been no major announcements yet for any other major AAA game lined up near the holiday season except Marvel 1943, which possibly gives it the first-mover advantage and a bit of a boost in marketing for the title.
To show a broader perspective of how big this year is for video games, a small list of the most anticipated games includes the earlier mentioned GTA 6, Borderlands 4, Ghost of Yotei, Assassin’s Creed Shadows, Death Stranding 2, and many more.
Being Marvel, which happens to be one of the biggest studios in the world, dominating pop culture, any game using its IP is already half guaranteed to be a success. This is a formula we have seen work with Rivals, and something we are sure will help Marvel 1943 win big too.
