“I swear this looked better in She-Hulk”: Daredevil: Born Again Is Great But It’s Impossible to Believe She-Hulk Had Better CGI of Matt Swinging

After an unbearably long wait, Daredevil: Born Again has finally made its way to the screens to bring back Charlie Cox’s Matt Murdock, and so far, the reviews are more than just acceptable. The storyline is loved by everyone, a majority of the critics deem it watch-worthy, and the show seems to have had a good enough start.

But amidst all of those praiseworthy elements, some parts of this new saga are being criticized by fans as well. For one, there’s the scene where the blind Devil of Hell’s Kitchen is shown to be swinging between buildings. That one scene is being so criticized by fans that they are even claiming that She-Hulk did the CGI for that part better.

Daredevil: Born Again‘s scene of Matt swinging is worse than the one in She-Hulk

In a new and even more immersive turn of events than before, Daredevil: Born Again has brought back Charlie Cox‘s Matt Murdock and Vincent D’Onofrio‘s Wilson Fisk back to butting heads once again, and everyone is loving it, critics and fans alike. But while it seems to have brought back everything better, the show is still lagging at certain elements.

This stands true while considering not the story but rather the CGI used, in particular, especially in the scene involving Matt’s Devil of Hell’s Kitchen swinging between buildings to get to his destination. To say the least, not only does that scene seem to be the perfect example of terrible CGI, but the actual criticism it is getting is even worse than that.

For one, fans are claiming that the CGI used in this respective scene in the new ongoing series is actually so bad that it seems to be even worse than the one used in Tatiana Maslany‘s She-Hulk: Attorney at Law. With all of this being said, it’s only inevitable that the same is becoming the victim of some serious scrutiny from fans worldwide.

Fans aren’t hesitating to lash out at Marvel for such terrible CGI

While the rest of the series, including all the plotlines designed and characters introduced and brought back so far, is perfectly capturing viewers’ attention with the ultimate immersiveness, the scenes involving CGI used to show Cox’s Murdock swinging in the air in Born Again are being sincerely compared to the ones in Attorney at Law. And the results aren’t all that graceful.

If anything, fans aren’t holding back on their criticism about the same as they have been taking to X to say:

All in all, Matt Murdock’s return to the screens has unarguably been met with excitement, but the show’s CGI has fallen sincerely short of expectations as the subpar visual effects are a letdown while the series is still receiving praise for its engaging storyline. As fans continue to criticize the show’s CGI, it remains to be seen how Marvel will respond to these concerns.

Daredevil: Born Again is available to be streamed on Disney+.
