Fashion fans say the £8 top is giving them ‘massive flashbacks’[/caption]
Nineties and noughties trends have become a hit with Gen Z – most likely because they didn’t wear them the first time round.
From disc belts to pedal pushers and ballet pumps, lots of the fashion micro-trends have been making a return.
And fashionistas have noticed a new £8 buy on the high street that is making them think of their younger years.
Primark’s two-in-one lace up cami top comes in two colours – grey or pale pink, which is set to be the shade of spring and summer.
With a cropped T-shirt and cami overlay with lettuce edging and tie detail, it is definitely a reminder of the millenial fondness for layering vest tops.
The new top is available in sizes XXS to XL and is available on click and collect.
After bagging it, one shopper said: “I picked up this little vest and top combo this is giving me massive flashbacks because I definitely used to wear stuff like this with ripped skinny jeans.
“But it’s a little pink vest and then it’s got a baby tee in the background.
“I love it, I think it’s so cute.”
She added: “I used to do this when I was in school when I was about 16. You’d wear two tops and it was really cool.
“It’s coming back, I’m so happy”
Someone else gushed: “Giving very Rachel Green [from Friends].”
“Omg yessss”, chimed in a third.
Meanwhile, a fourth said: “This is so cute.”
While you’re in store, you may also want to check out Primark’s latest range of affordable tops – and they’re only £4.50.
Fashionistas are screaming and legging it to their nearest Primark store, eager to get their hands on the brand new baby tees.
There’s six new cropped T-shirts – so you’re sure to find at least one to suit your style.
Each top is super trendy and stylish – there’s a gorgeous pink top that reads ‘Lucky You’ alongside red dice, as well as a green tee that’s perfect for Matcha fans.
Primark fans will also be able to get their hands on a stylish navy tee, as well as a burgundy top that’s super on trend.
