Here’s how . . .

CINNAMON SWIRL: If you have cinnamon and sugar in your cupboard already, mix a teaspoon of each into melted butter, then swirl it through your pancake batter before cooking.

Pour over the leftover mixture for pancakes that taste just like a cinnamon roll.

BISCUIT BOOST: Head to Aldi for a jar of its Biscoff dupe, Belmont Biscuit spread, £1.99.

Add a spoonful into your pancake batter and drizzle it on top too once your flipping is done.

It tastes incredible — but make a big batch as everyone will want more.

MATCHA MAGIC: Love a matcha latte?

Add a teaspoon of matcha powder such as the Holland & Barrett Naturya matcha powder, previously £9 now £6.75, to your pancake mix for a unique matcha flavour.

The best bit is having plenty of powder leftover to skip the coffee shop and whip up your own matcha lattes at home this week.

HEALTHY HIT: Get a bag of the Stamford Street frozen berries at Sainsbury’s for £1.90 and a pot of XL Fage Greek yoghurt, previously £5.55 now £4.50 when you use your Nectar card.

Drop a handful of frozen berries in your batter as a healthy addition.

You could also stir in a few large dollops of yoghurt for an extra protein hit.

Serve with another spoonful of yoghurt. Use any leftover fruit and yoghurt for speedy breakfasts.

CHOCS AWAY: If you already have cocoa powder, try stirring a tablespoon of it into your batter for chocolate-flavoured pancakes.

Sprinkle over more cocoa and sugar when done.

Alternatively, try doing the same with the Asda Just Essentials hazelnut chocolate spread, £1.35.

Plus drizzle it on top afterwards for a super chocolatey pancake.
