Crime City

Crime City is one of the best landing spots in Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 2 due to its central location and abundance of loot. This POI has a lot of chests, meaning you can grab weapons and shields quickly for early fights. The city’s layout is similar to streets in an urban city. So you can expect it to be perfect for early game fights. Not the best if you want to try and get a Pacifist win though.

The highlight of Crime City is its bank vault, which contains high-tier loot, including gold bars and Dill Bits. If you can win the drop, it will guarantee you the vault early and you’ll be set for the rest of the match. But of course, you have to realize that this also means that it can get chaotic due to its popularity. So get ready for a fight.

Lonewolf Lair

Lonewolf Lair is an excellent landing spot if you’re an aggressive player who likes early game fights in close quarters. This POI features a massive mansion filled with treasure chests, allowing you to get geared up quickly. But its small hallways and multiple floors make it a challenge. Especially if there’s a lot of people landing.

If you’re skilled with shotguns and SMGs, this is the perfect place to start. Additionally, Lonewolf Lair has a vault containing valuable loot, but to get it you have to defeat the area’s boss, Fletcher Kane, and his Alpha Guards. If you defeat them, you’ll be rewarded with mythic-tier weapons and an Unstoppable Medallion.

Shiny Shafts

Located on the western edge of the map, Shiny Shafts is one of the underrated landing spots in Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 2. This POI is less crowded compared to the other two we just mentioned, and that makes it a great option for players who prefer a slower start.

The underground tunnels here provide excellent cover, and there are plenty of hidden chests to find in the cave. Shiny Shafts also has a secret vault, which can be unlocked by activating three pressure valves around the area. If you’re able to access the vault, you’ll find rare weapons, gold bars, and slurp barrels.

Magic Mosses

Magic Mosses may not be as flashy as some of the other POIs, but it’s another fantastic landing spot for players who want to stock up on loot without immediately engaging in fights. This forest area in this POI is filled with hidden chests, and you can loot good weapons and items early on here.

One thing to note is that there isn’t much vertical cover, but the trees and obelisks are decent enough as hiding spots for repositioning. Another advantage of this POI is that it’s close to popular locations like Flooded Frogs and Crime City. So if you’re a player that likes to stock up on loot for early rotates into high action areas, this is your spot.

Masked Meadows

Masked Meadows is a well-rounded landing option for players who want a mix of loot and safety. This POI wasn’t very popular before this season but has become more viable thanks to the addition of a vault inside the Masked Motorway Bank. You’ll find that this POI isn’t as heavily contested as Crime City, but it still attracts enough players to make early fights interesting.

The layout is beginner-friendly, with evenly spaced houses that remind us of the early look and feel of the Fortnite map. The rooftops can give you an early advantage to see where other enemies are, and engaging in fights with a height advantage. The POI’s location also makes it easy to rotate to Seaport City or Magic Mosses.

And that’s the list of the best places you’ll want to land in Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 2. There’s a good mix of hot and quiet drops here but you can rest assured that you’ll be topped up on loot no matter which location you pick.
