Adrien Brody Name Dropped Girlfriend’s Kids in Oscars Speech — & Their Dad Harvey Weinstein Entered the Chat

There were a lot of memorable moments from Adrien Brody’s acceptance speech at the 2025 Oscars. And we mean a lot. After all, the star of The Brutalist threw his gum to girlfriend Georgina Chapman before speaking for six minutes (!!!) and urging the orchestra to stop when they tried to play him off.

Six. Minutes. AKA five minutes too long! And throwing your gum? Just swallow it (we promise your organs won’t stick together!) or hold it in your cheek until your speech is over.

And then there was the part where he not only shouted out Chapman, but the two kids she shares with ex-husband Harvey Weinstein.

“I share this with my amazing partner, Georgina … and her beautiful children, Dash and India,” he said, per Page Six. “It’s been a roller coaster, but thank you for accepting me into your life, and Popsy’s coming home a winner.”

Because apparently India (b. Aug. 2010) and Dashiell “Dash” (b. April 2013) have a fatherly nickname for the actor! Brody entered the kids’ lives in 2020, amid Chapman’s divorce from Weinstein. The disgraced former Hollywood bigwig is currently serving 23 years in prison after being convicted of rape and criminal sexual acts. And after Brody’s very public name drop of India and Dash, Weinstein has now entered the chat via his representative, Juda Engelmayer.

Engelmayer told The Post, “Harvey is happy for Georgina and grateful that his kids are being loved and cared for as they deserve to be.”

In August 2017, just a couple of months before Chapman filed for divorce, the model told Forbes how motherhood changed her.

“I’m not an organized person by nature, but I became very, very focused,” she said, per People. “It changed the way I approach work. It freed me in many ways.”

“Your whole value system changes once you have children,” she continued. “They become your priority.”

And yes, she has felt the inevitable mom guilt, but she also feels a sense of pride when it comes to her two t(w)eens.

“I think it’s a very empowering thing for a daughter to see her mother independent, working and having a voice,” she added. And now she and her brother have seen their “Popsy” working, having a [six-minute-long] voice, and winning an Oscar for Best Actor.
