Danny read out some iconic Irish slang[/caption]

Danny spoke about his new movie Marching Powder, how he captured hearts as Freddie Jones in Rivals and about his life since Albert Square.

After his interview, the 47-year-old got given some typical Irish phrases to try and guess the meaning.

Danny sat down confidently and said: “I’ve had a few bits of slang thrown at me and I’ve struggled slightly but I’m hoping I’m going to do well at this.”

The first line was “I will in me hoop”, to which he of course he got right.

He said: “I thought it was, ‘I will in me hole’. But I think that’s like, ‘As if I’m going to do that’. Love it.”

Danny put his own spin on the phrase “How’s she cutting?” and said: “Is she a sort, is she good looking?”

The Football Factory star got stuck on what the Irish word for drunk, “langers” meant.

He said: “What is langers again? Langers is someone who’s a bit of a tw*t, bit of an idiot.”

When Danny read out “I’ll burst ya”, he got it completely wrong as he guessed: “I don’t think it’s aggressive. I’ll come give you a cuddle.”

And he hit the nail on the head when he described the phrase “Scarlet for your ma for having you”, as “a bad one and added: “That’s heavy s***.”

He finished the video saying: “I’ve learnt a lot from being in Ireland and I really appreciate it.”

RTE shared the hilarious clip on Instagram and captioned it: “When Eastend meets Ireland. “How’s she cuttin’” has never sounded better @officialdannydyer.”

And everyone was in stitches laughing in the comment section.
