The gunshots at the beginning of episode one of Season 3 of The White Lotus have gotten people speculating what exactly is going to go down this season in the hit anthology series. Speculations have been going wild as to who will be shooting the gun, and who will be dying as a result of it.
Jason Issacs is one of the characters who was seen holding a gun in the trailers, but there is a theory that looks at a completely different possibility, carrying over from the previous season.
Portia from the Sicily location, who was the personal assistant of Jennifer Coolidge’s Tanya has been pegged as one of the characters who might be there with a gun, and at the center of her oath of vengeance would be the mysterious Gary/Greg, who orchestrated Tanya’s death, and is now possibly living it up with her money in the Thaliland location under a pseudonym.

As Jennifer Coolidge has rightly pointed out, the show seems like it’s in its set-up stage, with people still not revealing how things are going to go sideways. So far, a myriad of things are being built up, with Jason Isaacs’ Timothy Ratliff being indicted in some money laundering scheme, Walton Goggins’ Rick Hatchett looking for Jim Hollinger, the husband of the owner of The White Lotus’ Thai location.
Further, Greg is here, with a new companion, that many have speculated to be a prostitute for unknown reasons. Then of course, there are the three ladies who are here to have a good time, but cannot stop gossiping about each other at any opportunity.
Coolidge, speaking to Forbes, talked about what she thinks is coming Greg’s way, saying:
As you know, Jon Gries has shown up. I hope he gets it! I hope they do something terrible to him.
Fans on Reddit are also hoping for some sort of vengeance to visit Gary/Greg, given what he did to a fan favorite character like Tanya. Speculations have ranged from Rick being at odds with Greg, given that the former is possibly a hitman and the latter, hired security for the same person. The victim of these shots is also something that has got people very intrigued, given that there was a body that the characters saw floating in the premier episode, one that caused Zion to run away.
Fans are sure that Portia from The White Lotus Season 2 is going to make their way into Season 3
To get revenge for Tanya and possibly kill Greg, fans have speculated in a wild theory that Portia, Tanya’s personal assistant from the Sicily location, is going to come guns slinging to kill Greg, who might be on the run from her. While this theory is a little more out there, it has managed to tickle the fancy of the fandom.
The White Lotus Season 3 has a lot of people trying to guess what exactly is going to happen come the finale, with speculations ranging from Mook being the chief antagonist this season, to it actually being a prequel that is set between Seasons 1 and Season 2. It remains to be seen how exactly things go sideways, but it is set to be ga rand old time regardless.
